What The Farm Property Offers to Camping Guests: Updated as at 25 May 2024. *****THE DREAMCATCHER FARM OBJECTIVE: This is a relaxing camp-style Farm site of 50 acres of farmland; for those looking for a break away from the city and wanting to safely enjoy some time embracing the peace and tranquility of the outdoors, nature and or, animals and creating some nice memories away together. *****This Farm property site is ideal for Camping Families, Small Groups and or, Scouting Groups. Or Other groups such as Film Producers and or Workshop Hosts, or for those people wanting to host a small Community Event with live Musicians and or pop-up-shop stalls. However, additional costs occur for these groups. *****Each group is to please be responsible for conducting their own Risk Assessments. *****Situated away in a peaceful; quiet location, with a few dirt roads leading up to the entrance of the farm... this location is approximately a 3-hour drive from the Sydney CBD, and a 1 hour and 50-minute drive from Canberra Central and, a 30 to 40 minute drive to the closest local town of Crookwell in NSW. *****THIS FARM OFFERS GUESTS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES: 1. CAMPING SPACE: 1.a. Plenty of camping space by way of segregated paddocks for use by people and for housing a few farm animals. 1.b. Until further notice, camping sites are your chosen area of space upon arrival but please be mindful of other campers’ space perimeters also, so kindly allow reasonable space between your camp area and other groups already camping. 1.c. The ground is level in some areas and not level in other areas, so you’ll need to look around for a spot suitable to you, you are welcome to level out the ground also if you prefer to. 2. ANIMALS ON THIS FARM: 2.a. We have a few farm animals including horses, lamas, sheep, chickens and dogs and cats. And there is also the additional wild life animals. 2.b. You are welcome to take photos with the Farm animals. 2.c. You are welcome to buy fresh eggs (laid by the Farm Hens) if the eggs are available at the time. 2.d. Feeding some of the Farm animals is allowed / permitted as noted below: Horses – you can feed the Horses: carrots, apples and or, lettuce. Lamas – you can feed the Lamas: our food-pellets. These can be purchased from the Farm Manager Caretaker (Billy) $1 per packet. Sheep – you can feed the sheep: our food-pellets. These can be purchased from the Farm Manager Caretaker (Billy) $1 per packet. Chickens – you can feed the Chickens: natural food scraps such as left over salads and vegetables, rice, pasta and plain bread. 2.e. Dogs - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Dogs – please do not feed the Dogs, the Dogs are on a strict diet. 2.f. Cats - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Cats – please do not feed the Cats, the Cats are on a strict diet. 2.g. Wild-life animals - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Wild-life animals – please do not feed the Wild-life animals because they will later become dependable on humans feeding them and then not able to properly fend for themselves. 2.h. Hunting and or hurting of ANY animal is strictly prohibited / NOT allowed / NOT permitted on this Farm property and or from or on any of the surrounding areas of the Farm property. 2.i. You are welcome to bring your family pet dog however, please ensure the safety of your pet dog and, please ensure your pet dog/s will not get involved in any animal fights and please ensure your per dog is friendly to people. 3. TOILET AND SHOWER: 3.a One Shack/Cabin referred to as the Slanty-Shanty which provides all Guests access to a toilet and a shower. 3.b. There is one separate toilet behind the BBQ area. 3.c. One house referred to as the ‘Barn’ which provides Guests access to an emergency toilet and shower however, we politely ask you limit your time in this house/barn to emergency toilet use only. 3.d. We will be installing more guest toilets and showers in the future. Please feel welcome to bring a portable camping toilet if you wish to do so. 4. POWER SUPPLY: 4.a We have an off-grid property meaning; this property has a solar-power supply however, there is also a back-up power supply from a generator. 4.b. It is therefore suggested that you plan ahead to have your showers or your hot water usage during daylight. 5. WI-FI AND CELLULAR MOBILE TELEPHONE RECEPTION: 5.a. There is cellular reception accessible only at certain areas of the farm such as; the BBQ area, the Barn (house) area. 5.b. Please be mindful there is no cellular mobile phone reception in the other areas of the farm. 6. BBQ BARBEQUE: 6.a. There is one BBQ barbeque area with one barbeque facility and three tables and some chairs. Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions. 6.b. This barbeque area is outdoors on a concrete slab and has an undercover style roof. 7. CAMP FIRE PIT - COMMUNAL: 7.a. There is one big communal camp-fire-pit which is great to sit around and roast marshmallows whilst singing camp songs or having a yarn amongst yourselves whilst observing the night sky and or observing the surrounding natural landscapes. Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions. 7.b. Wood for the campfire can be collected from around the property, feel welcome to walk around and collect the wood. 7.c. A saw can be provided to borrow, for you to cut your own campfire wood. 7.d. Fire extinguishers are available on site but please feel welcome to also bring your own. 7.e. Please adhere to local fire restrictions and guidelines. 8. PORTABLE CAMP-FIRE-PITS FOR SMALLER GROUPS ARE AVAILABLE: 8.a. These can be picked up upon request, at the BBQ area and returned to the BBQ area upon departure. Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions. 8.b. Likewise, wood for the portable campfire-pits can be collected from around the property by each guest. 8.c. Likewise, a saw can be provided to borrow, for you to cut your own campfire wood. 8.d. Fire extinguishers are available on site but please feel welcome to also bring your own. 8.e. Please adhere to local fire restrictions and guidelines. 9. TWO NATURAL SPRING-FED-WATER DAMS: 9.a. These dams are lovely to adventure around however they do suddenly deepen so please ensure you have knowledge of and, adhere to general water-safety. We advise not to swim in the dam or waterholes as we do not provide swim supervision nor swim safety signs - we ask that you please do not swim in the dams / water holes on the property and that you ensure the safety of yourself and any children with you with regards to water. 9.b. There is also one dry creek which does fill with rainwater. 10. WATER TANKS WITH NATURAL RAIN-WATER: 10a. The tank water on this Farm property is suitable for drinking however, please be mindful of any Contrary Indications you may have depending on your own health restrictions and or requirements. 11. TREES, NATURAL TERRAIN AND, RURAL FARMLAND: 11.a. There is lovely farmland country style natural landscape, perfect for enjoying nature through walking and or photography and painting and safe activities. 11.b. Whilst enjoying the grassy areas prepped with trees please be mindful of falling branches and please conduct your own Risk Assessments according to your own schedule of activities. 12. FEW DIRT ROADS AND FEW GRAVEL ROADS / OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE: 12.a. Please ensure your vehicle does not travel over a 10km speed limit whilst on the property. 12.b. There is approximately two to three kilometers of unsealed / dirt road just before you reach the entrance of the Farm. The main camp area is 2WD accessible, and the back part of the property is for 4WD access only. Please message me if unsure. 12.c. Please keep an eye out for any road potholes (if any at all). 13. ON-SITE EXTRAS WHICH INCUR ADDITIONAL COSTS: These extras incur additional costs and costs are subject to change depending on economic influxes. These will need to be booked 3 weeks prior or, booked as per the agreement in prior correspondence for example if agreed that you can book on the day. 13.a. Professional Massage (outdoor or in door). 13.b. Ear Candling 13.c. Crystal Bowl Meditation sessions. 13.d. We can make ourselves available to show you or your group around on local excursions and to local eats so you can also enjoy the local area. Please book in advance by contacting us to make these arrangements. 13.e. There are additional extras also at additional costs to people wanting to make movies such as Film Producers or, For those people wanting to host a small community event with live musicians and or pop-up stalls. 14. IN FUTURE WE WILL HAVE A GIFT SHOP: 14.a. In future a small Gift Shop will be established, and some Farm Merchandise will be made available for purchase. We will advertise when this is established. 15. LOCAL TOWN: This farm about a 25-to-30-minute drive to the local town if you require shops or medical facilities or other activities such as: 15.a. Tawnee Creek, for Gold Panning experience. (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.d. Art and Craft Shop with craft supplies and, craft workshop hosts are also available to come out to the farm from the Art shop in Crookwell. Laggan Pub just 25 min up the road is great for a Pub meal and a bit of socialising, please be mindful to book with the Pub in advance for: dinner for Friday and Saturday nights, there is also live music on Friday nights. It gets very cold at night on the Farm so we recommend that you bring extra warm clothing and bedding / blankets or sleeping bags for night time. During the day sometimes sneaker shoes can get bogged in muddy spots so gumboots or hiking boots are recommended and safe for walking around in. 17. SIGNS: 17.a. There are currently no signs erected on the property. 17.b. However, there will be signs erected in the near future which will then, further assist with directions and navigation around the Farm. Six kilometres of driving tracks, with abundant wild life , large granite rock features and the best views. All sites are well marked , with fire pits on each. So most popular site so far campers vote CAMPERS DEN Site with best views ( I may be Bias now) is KOOYONG Fire wood is scattered about so help yourself OR bagged wood available for purchase. Revelstone offers six km of tracks to explore with amazing rock formations throughout ,just please remember leave gates as you find them (open)(closed) Wyangala Dam and village are nearby with access to water sports, fishing and nature walks. Elliot's Lookout is a scenic spot with fantastic views of the dam and back waters. The Cowra township is 20 minutes drive and worth a visit . Reflections Holiday Park shop at the dam open Friday-Saturday-Sunday offering general supplies, coffee and hot food. REVELSTONE MOUNTAIN CAMPS offers camping with fantastic views. Plenty of space to go for a scenic hike, lots of wildlife including kangaroos, rabbits and foxes. There are 14 designated camping areas to set up your camp, or why not try the revelstone TEPEE TENT adventure, or maybe the TWIN HAMMOCK camp. please do not cut down or use any standing trees even if they look dead as they are a mountain feature. Phone and internet are available on mountain sites and some base camp sites This campsites are suited for campers who are self-contained, with own camping or toilet/shower amenities and water supply. FREE COMMUNAL TOILET available , CAMP KITCHEN-SHOWER TOILET, BOOKING COST PER DAY ,SEE PRICE GUIDE .Pets welcome however if stock around please restrain on a lead.(we have lots of stock wandering about). Yarracoola is a working sheep farm, carrying 300 to 400 merino ewes and additional lambs, depending upon the time of year. Lambing occurs during September & October. Lots of little white lambs chasing mum around. 😆 Surrounds of rolling hills and bush, our land offers peace and quiet with plenty of space. Overlooking rural paddocks, you can enjoy the tranquillity that a farming landscape has to offer. (1.5hrs from Canberra, 3.5hrs from Sydney). Camping is available next to the creek and dam on the western side. There is no power, no dump point, no phone reception and no internet. (Don't you just love that...😜) Various farming activities occur during the year which you are welcome to join in. The township of Boorowa is 15min drive, offering a range of shops, dining venues, Golf course, swimming pool (in season) and playground. There are also a number of events held throughout the year. This property is an off grid retreat with an abundance of wildlife. Our quiet rural retreat is just under 30 acres and has kangaroos, wombats ,possums and echidnas , wallabies and a range of bird life. Our property is a hobby farm with chickens, vegetable garden and we make condiments and fresh farm eggs to sell , we bake fresh bread on demand. We are pet friendly but pets must be controlled at all times and not chase the wildlife. We have a off leash area that is fenced where your fury friends can have play dates and run around. There are 4 large camping sites that must be you must self contained and leave nothing but footprints and great memories. Plenty of room for vans , boats , cars to park at your site . 7. Eudora Farm

We have 245 acres with an area of bushland and other lovely areas with scattered trees, plus some open areas. Currently we have a choice of camping areas for caravans and tents, some nestled in amongst the tree line. Other areas alongside the dam. We keep all the camping areas slashed for safety and to allow easier access to find a suitable camping spot. We also have a hut available in the bush area. This hut is secluded and has its own outdoor private toilet. There is no shower, electricity or fresh water available, however we do have a flush toilet at the camping and caravan site. Campers would need to be self-sufficient otherwise. Please note we don't allow motorbikes, Quads or firearms on the property and there are no exceptions, sorry. We run sheep on our property and have wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. We also have farm animals such as cows, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, geese, and dogs. We have 8 dams, 3 of which have fish as well as yabbies throughout the year. Fire pits located in designated areas and only to used during non fire ban periods and to be supervised at all times. We're happy for you to bring your dog however you would be required to keep it under your control or on a leash and away from the sheep. No motor bikes, quads, firearms permitted and no exceptions. No diving off jetty Supervise children at all times. Water, dams, firepits, bushwalking and all areas can be dangerous. Caution, dams may be dangerous, and water is deep. Do not enter paddocks with cows and horses. Beware of snakes. 8. La Paloma Farm

'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer powered and unpowered camping and a glamping tent. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma).Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! You can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in any open paddock (granite pad sites on hill are their own sites). Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

9. Redlands Camping

Hi campers, Nestled among the hills on Old Man Gunyah Creek, this 1400 acre property is owned &and run by John & Jen. It's a sheep farm running 1600 sheep producing fine wool and fat lambs. Plenty of room to move, walk the hills, catch a fish, or just sit by the camp fire & watch the stars. Bring your motor home, caravan, camper, tent or swag, the choice is yours. The shearing shed has a fully equipped kitchen & plenty of fresh rain water. You are welcome to roll out your swag in the shearing shed if you prefer. Controlled dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times. There is no mobile service or Wi-Fi. We are 50 kms from a corner store/service station, so don't leave yourselves short. There are toilets scattered around the property, but no shower available.

10. The Neville Hotel Grounds

The Neville Hotel is heritage listed pub set on a beautiful rural acreage with a meandering tree lined creek running through it a resident mob of kangaroos grazing nearby and flocks of parrots and cockatoos circling. Guest can stay for $50 per night per vehicle, but the $50 can be used as a credit that day at The Neville Hotel. Fire pits, 1 outdoor toilet and water provided at this stage - with more amenities to come.

Dairy Park is a working farm on the Central Tablelands of NSW. We farm sheep and cattle, and on the property, you'll find kangaroos, wombats, lots of birdlife and wide-open space.Our campsite is very private next to the seasonal 'Thumbies Creek'. Our family has been here since the early 1820s. A great family-friendly campsite for those seeking a bush experience. Drinking water available but nothing else, no amenities, so you must have everything you need and leave no trace. 2WD most of the year unless rain, then need 4WD. Pets not permitted. Campfires permitted in a designated area only when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather fallen timber.All campers have the opportunity to join in our animal feeding every afternoon at 4pm, we'll take you along with us as we feed the chooks, working dogs, pody lambs and whatever else is happening on the farm! Mobile phone reception on the property is available through Optus and Telstra.

Perched on the ridge with spectacular views, our farm promises a true escape. Located 25 minutes from the beautiful village of Taralga, ours is a spot to unwind. With a large campsite, you can fit several large tents. When permitted, there’s a great campfire set up with a grill ready to go. Please bring a back up gas cooker in case of fire ban. There are no toilet facilities or fresh water, so you will need to come prepared. Access is via a steep dirt road. At night, the skies are majestic, and the sunrise and sunsets are spectacular. Lots of wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, owls, eagles, hawks, goats, deer, and the occasional reptile! Taralga is home to the Argyle Inn, pub, general store and more. The famous Laggan Pub is 25 minutes and Crookwell just a bit past that. The grass has been cut back for safety. An old table and chairs are provided on site. We do not allow hunting or weapons on our property.

We have a 55 acre property at the foot of the Dananbilla Range, a working farm with coloured Miniature Sheep, also pattable Galloway Cattle and calfs and Miniature and normal sized horses, donkeys, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks and LOTS of Miniature Goats all very friendly. Around 200 handraised and tame animals and 200 birds. We are the largest and oldest Miniature Goat Stud in NSW.....all year round we have baby goats, turkeys, horses, cows, sheep...all hand raised and friendly. We often have babies on bottles and goats to milk and generally, the farm is a wonderful place to be for those who love animals. The State Forest that surrounds our farm is a wonderful experience for bushwalking and the views are outstanding with spectacular sunrises and sunsets to admire. There are endless amounts of native birds, kangaroos and wallabies to view and sometimes we see a local echidna or wombat. We provide a peaceful farm with loving animals who love human attention. Toilets and showers available. Sorry NO Dogs are permitted. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood available to purchase per night load, delivered to your site.

⭐ Epic Riverside Campsite – Perfect for Kids, 4x4 Lovers & Summer Days We had an absolutely epic stay at this riverside campsite. The river was the hero of the whole trip – the kids were in the water pretty much from sunrise to sunset. Safe shallows, gentle flow, and plenty of spots to float, splash, or just sit in the water and cool off. The campsite itself gets great shade for most of the day, which made the hot weather super manageable. Only breakfast time was a bit sunny, but once the sun moved, the whole area felt relaxed and comfortable. There isn’t a huge amount of perfectly flat ground, but we still managed to fit two camper trailers without any dramas. Once set up, it actually felt cosy and tucked away in a really nice way. The 4x4 access added to the fun. The dirt roads on the way in and the little track down to the river camp made it feel like a proper adventure—but still very doable. Beautiful scenery, heaps of space for the kids to roam, and a pristine river right at your doorstep. Honestly, one of the best family camping spots we’ve done. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic weekend at Wooden Valley at Mt Testa! We had a large family group who thoroughly enjoyed the ruggedness and pristine peace and quite of Wooden Valley including the wildlife, spectacular stargazing and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The kids could ride their bikes, play, run free and just be kids, safely on our very well maintained site and paddock nearby. Michael was a great host and his instructions to the site were spot on.
