What The Farm Property Offers to Camping Guests: Updated as at 25 May 2024. *****THE DREAMCATCHER FARM OBJECTIVE: This is a relaxing camp-style Farm site of 50 acres of farmland; for those looking for a break away from the city and wanting to safely enjoy some time embracing the peace and tranquility of the outdoors, nature and or, animals and creating some nice memories away together. *****This Farm property site is ideal for Camping Families, Small Groups and or, Scouting Groups. Or Other groups such as Film Producers and or Workshop Hosts, or for those people wanting to host a small Community Event with live Musicians and or pop-up-shop stalls. However, additional costs occur for these groups. *****Each group is to please be responsible for conducting their own Risk Assessments. *****Situated away in a peaceful; quiet location, with a few dirt roads leading up to the entrance of the farm... this location is approximately a 3-hour drive from the Sydney CBD, and a 1 hour and 50-minute drive from Canberra Central and, a 30 to 40 minute drive to the closest local town of Crookwell in NSW. *****THIS FARM OFFERS GUESTS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES: 1. CAMPING SPACE: 1.a. Plenty of camping space by way of segregated paddocks for use by people and for housing a few farm animals. 1.b. Until further notice, camping sites are your chosen area of space upon arrival but please be mindful of other campers’ space perimeters also, so kindly allow reasonable space between your camp area and other groups already camping. 1.c. The ground is level in some areas and not level in other areas, so you’ll need to look around for a spot suitable to you, you are welcome to level out the ground also if you prefer to. 2. ANIMALS ON THIS FARM: 2.a. We have a few farm animals including horses, lamas, sheep, chickens and dogs and cats. And there is also the additional wild life animals. 2.b. You are welcome to take photos with the Farm animals. 2.c. You are welcome to buy fresh eggs (laid by the Farm Hens) if the eggs are available at the time. 2.d. Feeding some of the Farm animals is allowed / permitted as noted below: Horses – you can feed the Horses: carrots, apples and or, lettuce. Lamas – you can feed the Lamas: our food-pellets. These can be purchased from the Farm Manager Caretaker (Billy) $1 per packet. Sheep – you can feed the sheep: our food-pellets. These can be purchased from the Farm Manager Caretaker (Billy) $1 per packet. Chickens – you can feed the Chickens: natural food scraps such as left over salads and vegetables, rice, pasta and plain bread. 2.e. Dogs - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Dogs – please do not feed the Dogs, the Dogs are on a strict diet. 2.f. Cats - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Cats – please do not feed the Cats, the Cats are on a strict diet. 2.g. Wild-life animals - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Wild-life animals – please do not feed the Wild-life animals because they will later become dependable on humans feeding them and then not able to properly fend for themselves. 2.h. Hunting and or hurting of ANY animal is strictly prohibited / NOT allowed / NOT permitted on this Farm property and or from or on any of the surrounding areas of the Farm property. 2.i. You are welcome to bring your family pet dog however, please ensure the safety of your pet dog and, please ensure your pet dog/s will not get involved in any animal fights and please ensure your per dog is friendly to people. 3. TOILET AND SHOWER: 3.a One Shack/Cabin referred to as the Slanty-Shanty which provides all Guests access to a toilet and a shower. 3.b. There is one separate toilet behind the BBQ area. 3.c. One house referred to as the ‘Barn’ which provides Guests access to an emergency toilet and shower however, we politely ask you limit your time in this house/barn to emergency toilet use only. 3.d. We will be installing more guest toilets and showers in the future. Please feel welcome to bring a portable camping toilet if you wish to do so. 4. POWER SUPPLY: 4.a We have an off-grid property meaning; this property has a solar-power supply however, there is also a back-up power supply from a generator. 4.b. It is therefore suggested that you plan ahead to have your showers or your hot water usage during daylight. 5. WI-FI AND CELLULAR MOBILE TELEPHONE RECEPTION: 5.a. There is cellular reception accessible only at certain areas of the farm such as; the BBQ area, the Barn (house) area. 5.b. Please be mindful there is no cellular mobile phone reception in the other areas of the farm. 6. BBQ BARBEQUE: 6.a. There is one BBQ barbeque area with one barbeque facility and three tables and some chairs. Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions. 6.b. This barbeque area is outdoors on a concrete slab and has an undercover style roof. 7. CAMP FIRE PIT - COMMUNAL: 7.a. There is one big communal camp-fire-pit which is great to sit around and roast marshmallows whilst singing camp songs or having a yarn amongst yourselves whilst observing the night sky and or observing the surrounding natural landscapes. Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions. 7.b. Wood for the campfire can be collected from around the property, feel welcome to walk around and collect the wood. 7.c. A saw can be provided to borrow, for you to cut your own campfire wood. 7.d. Fire extinguishers are available on site but please feel welcome to also bring your own. 7.e. Please adhere to local fire restrictions and guidelines. 8. PORTABLE CAMP-FIRE-PITS FOR SMALLER GROUPS ARE AVAILABLE: 8.a. These can be picked up upon request, at the BBQ area and returned to the BBQ area upon departure. Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions. 8.b. Likewise, wood for the portable campfire-pits can be collected from around the property by each guest. 8.c. Likewise, a saw can be provided to borrow, for you to cut your own campfire wood. 8.d. Fire extinguishers are available on site but please feel welcome to also bring your own. 8.e. Please adhere to local fire restrictions and guidelines. 9. TWO NATURAL SPRING-FED-WATER DAMS: 9.a. These dams are lovely to adventure around however they do suddenly deepen so please ensure you have knowledge of and, adhere to general water-safety. We advise not to swim in the dam or waterholes as we do not provide swim supervision nor swim safety signs - we ask that you please do not swim in the dams / water holes on the property and that you ensure the safety of yourself and any children with you with regards to water. 9.b. There is also one dry creek which does fill with rainwater. 10. WATER TANKS WITH NATURAL RAIN-WATER: 10a. The tank water on this Farm property is suitable for drinking however, please be mindful of any Contrary Indications you may have depending on your own health restrictions and or requirements. 11. TREES, NATURAL TERRAIN AND, RURAL FARMLAND: 11.a. There is lovely farmland country style natural landscape, perfect for enjoying nature through walking and or photography and painting and safe activities. 11.b. Whilst enjoying the grassy areas prepped with trees please be mindful of falling branches and please conduct your own Risk Assessments according to your own schedule of activities. 12. FEW DIRT ROADS AND FEW GRAVEL ROADS / OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE: 12.a. Please ensure your vehicle does not travel over a 10km speed limit whilst on the property. 12.b. There is approximately two to three kilometers of unsealed / dirt road just before you reach the entrance of the Farm. The main camp area is 2WD accessible, and the back part of the property is for 4WD access only. Please message me if unsure. 12.c. Please keep an eye out for any road potholes (if any at all). 13. ON-SITE EXTRAS WHICH INCUR ADDITIONAL COSTS: These extras incur additional costs and costs are subject to change depending on economic influxes. These will need to be booked 3 weeks prior or, booked as per the agreement in prior correspondence for example if agreed that you can book on the day. 13.a. Professional Massage (outdoor or in door). 13.b. Ear Candling 13.c. Crystal Bowl Meditation sessions. 13.d. We can make ourselves available to show you or your group around on local excursions and to local eats so you can also enjoy the local area. Please book in advance by contacting us to make these arrangements. 13.e. There are additional extras also at additional costs to people wanting to make movies such as Film Producers or, For those people wanting to host a small community event with live musicians and or pop-up stalls. 14. IN FUTURE WE WILL HAVE A GIFT SHOP: 14.a. In future a small Gift Shop will be established, and some Farm Merchandise will be made available for purchase. We will advertise when this is established. 15. LOCAL TOWN: This farm about a 25-to-30-minute drive to the local town if you require shops or medical facilities or other activities such as: 15.a. The Alpaca Farm. (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.b. The Abercrombie Caves. (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.c. Tawnee Creek, for Gold Panning experience. (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.d. Art and Craft Shop with craft supplies and, craft workshop hosts are also available to come out to the farm from the Art shop in Crookwell. (please search current contact details on the internet and arrange with them). 15.e. Laggan Pub just 25 min up the road is great for a Pub meal and a bit of socialising, please be mindful to book with the Pub in advance for: dinner for Friday and Saturday nights, there is also live music on Friday nights. (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.f. Supermarket, IGA, Crookwell (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.g. Petrol Stations. (please search current contact details on the internet) 15.h. Coffee Shops. (please search current contact details on the internet) 15.i. Gift Shops. (please search current contact details on the internet) 15.j. Wool Shop, Linden Socks famous socks made from Marino wool. (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.k. Hospital (please search current contact details on the internet). 15.l. Police. (please search current contact details on the internet). 16. FARM PARTICULARS: 16.a. Name of the Farm is: Dreamcatcher. 16.b. Name of the Camping ground is: Sweet Dreams. 16.c. Directions around the Farm: A brochure with a basic map of the farm for getting around the farm, will be available for you to collect upon arrival, from the Barn (main house). 16.d. If you require the brochure/map with Farm Directions - prior to arrival… than please send your request to the email or mobile phone provided and we will endeavour to send a copy to you. 16.e. It gets very cold at night on the Farm so we recommend that you bring extra warm clothing and bedding / blankets or sleeping bags for night time. During the day sometimes sneaker shoes can get bogged in muddy spots so gumboots or hiking boots are recommended and safe for walking around in. 17. SIGNS: 17.a. There are currently no signs erected on the property. 17.b. However, there will be signs erected in the near future which will then, further assist with directions and navigation around the Farm. Until then please refer to the brochure/map. 18. FARM CONTACTS: 18.a. If you would like to make enquiries whilst staying at the Farm you may chat to: The Farm Owner named Beatrice: You may ask any enquiry and or, The onsite Farm Manager Caretaker named Billy: You may ask any enquiry and or, you may ask Billy to assist you with tasks that you require help with or if you need any additional items. The off-site Assistant Farm Manager named Trent (at the farm occasionally). You may ask Trent for assistance when he is on the Farm. The Farm Handyman named Gordie – (at the farm occasionally): You may ask Gordie for onsite assistance when he is there. 18.b. FIRST AID KITS: 19.a. First Aid Kit is available for emergencies only, so we suggest you also bring your own First Aid Kits. 19.b. Our First Aid Kits are located in the BBQ area and at, the Shack/Cabin referred to as the Slanty-Shanty. 20. EMERGENCY MUSTER AREA: 20.a. There is an area to Muster at, in case of an emergency. This will be noted in the brochure/farm map.Please see description noted above. We loved camping at Dreamcatcher! Beatrice was so lovely and easy going. She let us do our thing, but was also very helpful with all of the info when we arrived. Loved being able to pat all the animals and walk around the property. Had a great firepit and plenty of space between us and other campers. Would definitely come back :)

Highly recommend 👌 such a beautiful place. We have a 4WD and trailer but this place is accessible for all vehicles. We experienced this place in the freezing cold but like I said, we loved it and can't wait to come back (experience all the sessions 😊). Beatrice is so lovely and accommodating towards her visitors. Her daughter Stephanie is a beautiful person who is extremely helpful and Billy the caretaker is such a nice and curious person 😊 Thank you, to you all, you made our family long weekend away a great one for my daughters birthday 🎂 They were also excited to see the snow fall 😄

Dreamcatcher was the perfect spot for our first ever camping trip! The host was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The campsites are well-spaced and private, with beautiful views of the farmlands. At night, the stars were unreal! We loved seeing the animals around the property, and the camp dog Charlie, was such a sweetheart - he and our dog Enzo became best buddies. Peaceful, scenic and super dog friendly! We’ll definitely be back.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time camping at ‘Dream Catcher’. Billy the caretaker was super friendly and very helpful. The camping ground was huge and we had free rein of sites. Not cramped together as you find on other sites. Dogs were very welcome and there was a horse, sheep and a greedy ram to feed. Great pub in Laggan and close enough to Crookwell for supplies. The stars at night and the abundance of kangaroo were a fabulous sight. Would definitely recommend

Overall had a good experience as we were the only campers on site. The kids enjoyed feeding the farm animals (limited as they were). Billy the on site host was welcoming and provided some guidance on the property. The facilities are a work in progress and maybe that is reflected in the price. Best to bring your own camp dunny and shower if you want privacy on busy days as the place has only 1 usable flush toilet and shower (both without a door, only curtains and need to start a pump located in a slippery area to be able to flush the toilet properly) in the barn. Even though the property is of a decent size you're limited in the areas you can camp due to the limited facilities. It got very windy in the night so proper wind shelter would be recommended.

My family had a really great time here. My kids really enjoyed feeding the animals, and especially spending time with the horses. It was a really enjoyable family trip thanks to the kind Billy who took great care of us.

We loved Camping at Dreamcatcher. We camped with our 2 small children (4 and 2years). They loved all the animals and exploring the paddocks, collecting firewood for the bonfire. Lots of space to set up close to the amenities or in the paddocks. Beatrice was so welcoming and lovely. She took time to get to know us and chat with the kids. Her 2 dogs were beautiful and friendly. We Didn't use the showers but they were available. We loved being off the grid and getting away from our screens!

Beatrice and her friends are an amazing host. Really friendly and made feel like home. The farm camp site is huge and quiet with all the amenities. The best part were the animals. Highly recommend it.

Massive farm. There is road dust if u can close to the amenities but if u camp up the hill there will be no dust and no noise. Monty the horse is lovely. Beautiful please for star gazing

Camping on Beatrice's land was very pleasant as there were many people willing to help. The journey to the site is 3 1/2 hours away from Sydney. The journey is also enjoyable, as we pass the Goulburn wind farms. The view along the roads is exquisite. When my tyre was punctured they assisted us to change the tyre and ensure a safe journey home. There are some animals, who are all very friendly. The campfire situation is also solid with many different options, like a small can that can contain the fire or an open fire surrounded by rocks. The site was very remote, and the nearest small town was Crookwell, half an hour away. Overall, if you want peace, quiet and adventurous camping then I would advise you to come here.

We didn't get to meet Beatrice, but Trent and Billy were very helpful and sweet people. We had some shortcomings, but they completed them all, thank you very much. They helped us with all our needs. We especially loved Charlie and the chicks. There was no phone reception at the campsite, which made us happy because we needed some rest. If you want to rest your mind, you should definitely go to a weekend camp. Note: 6 km before the camping area, the dirt terrain starts. Those with small cars should be careful.

Lovely peaceful spot with a delightfully helpful and accommodating host. Bathrooms were homely and tidy. Limited to no reception, but wifi available. Property I was not very clearly marked but Google Maps was accurate.

Host was lovely, very accommodating and nice to chat with. Worth noting that there are a number of loose dogs on the property - all very friendly however important to know if you don’t wish to have your dog socialising.

At first it was a bit confusing to find the camping area, we didn't see any signs leading to it and there were no other campers around, or any people whatsoever, but eventually we found it. There's a lot of space on the property, not much level space though, so some leveling is required if you camp with a trailer or a rooftop tent. There is a big fireplace near the two blue shipping containers that seems to be perfect for groups and is most leveled. The access to the toilet behind the covered BBQ area is easy and clean, also there are written signs on the wall to direct to it. The shower is inside the house which is called barn. We couldn't find it first and it was strange to just go inside what it seemed as someone's home. However, on our second day of stay Beatrice came back and explained everything. People can use the shower inside the house as well as the kitchen, second toilet and pretty much everything. Some people only slept in the tent and spend the rest of the time hanging in the kitchen, bbq area or around. That's also where the wifi works. The whole property is off grid, so there's power and hot water only when the solar is fully working, on cloudy days they had to turn on the generator to get the power. The farm animals are really nice and horses are people friendly. Our dog really enjoyed the farm life for a few days. Overall, it was very different camping experience that we are used to but we really enjoyed it and Beatrice and Billy (the handyman) were amazing.

Beautiful land very secluded, so a good place to get some rest and enjoy the surroundings. We saw lots of kangaroos, an echidna en beautiful birds. The house on the premises is a shared home, in which you can shower and use the toilet, there is another toilet in the barn next to the house. All is pretty old, but works nonetheless. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location overlooking a rural scene. Our friends child enjoyed the farm animals and wildlife including an echidna. Great bird watching. As for the camping area there is plenty of space, shade, and access to a toilet. Beatrice gave very clear instructions.

We had a very relaxing stay over two nights and Beatrice was very welcoming. There were plenty of open spaces and camp sites to choose from. We stayed on the 2-wheel drive campsite just across the creek which required a little bit of levelling of the camper and was a short walk to the external toilet. The shower is in the family home separate from the camper's toilet. The 4-wheel drive campsites were further into the property, more secluded and out of site of the campsite 1 shipping containers and barn. You would need your own toilet on those sites and could easily drive there in dry weather in a 2WD vehicle with good clearance. My car was a bit too low to negotiate the track to those sites but had no issues with the 2WD site. There were no other campers there, so was very peaceful and quiet. It's a great location for larger groups too.

A pretty farm to stay on with plenty of options on where to camp. The paddocks are well maintained with a toilets and shower available at the barn. Some locations offer wind protection. Great camp fire areas available. There are friendly sheep, horses and alpacas to see as well.

The place was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What made it truly special were the adorable animals they had on-site. Martin the horse and Princess the pony were such sweethearts, and spending time with them was a highlight of the trip. Our host, Beatrice, was an absolute gem. She was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Her kindness and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our camping adventure.
