Luckystars Sanctuary

My partner and I visited the farm for a few days and fell in love with it immediately. The nature, the farm itself, and the campsite were simply wonderful. Clint took us under his wing, answered every question, knew every story about the animals, and explained the topic of "being and becoming vegan." You can tell how much he loves each and every animal and how each one is like family to him. And we, too, were welcomed into the family for those few days. Thank you for this truly memorable time.

It was an amazing experience to stay overnight at this place. Very friendly staff and animals on the farm. Can hoghly recommend this place if you‘re looking for a calm relaxing stay. You can even help feeding all the animals.

If you're looking for a place where animals are family, you'll find pure happiness at Luckystars Sanctuary! Clint is a one of a kind host, and you'll want for nothing. Unfortunately, I could only stay one night, but I'll definitely be back...simply a magical place and so much fun...super easy to get to...plenty of space and beautiful nature...highly recommended - also for solo travelers like me :)

Lucky Star Sanctuary is set on absolutely beautiful land, peaceful and full of heart. Clint is a wonderful host, very accommodating and clearly devoted to what he does. The animals are a real highlight and it is obvious they are deeply loved and well cared for. Just a practical note for future campers: the toilet is located exactly as described, but it is uphill. With my car setup, it was not easy to just drive up there without packing things away, so that is something to keep in mind depending on your mobility and vehicle setup. That said, this is a very rustic and basic stay, so come prepared for simple camping. If you are happy with that, it is absolutely worth it for the price, the setting, and the chance to be around the animals. A special, down to earth experience.

Lovely spot for peace and quiet. Clint friendly and informative. The animals were brilliant, perfect paradise for animal lovers. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Toilet and shower, electric, and WiFi were really handy to have.

A lovely little animal sanctuary

I loved camping at Bertha campsite. Lovely rolling hills and grass. Had a splendid view of the alpacas and close encounters with the thorough bred horses. The host Anna and Maya were very patient with the kids and taught them how to feed the farm animals. Very family friendly and quiet secluded camping site.

Large, rocky, open site in middle of paddock with friendly horses. Good for positioning van as windbreak. BYO pit & wood. Can only see glimpses of other campers. Host is friendly, busy feeding animals and slashing grasses with tractor. There are shadier more hidden sites available depending on your preferences. Great winery next door.

A unique camp stay ❤️

We had the most amazing time staying at Lucky Stars Sanctuary. The property is peaceful, relaxing, and full of character, with beautiful surroundings and plenty of space to unwind. You can really see how much love and care goes into looking after the animals and the land. Clint deserves a special mention… his bubbly and fun personality made the whole experience even better. He was so welcoming and easy to chat with, and he really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of our favourite parts of the stay was joining in for the morning feedings and getting a tour of the property. It was such a unique and heart-warming experience, and it gave us a real appreciation for the amazing work being done there. Overall, Lucky Stars Sanctuary has such a positive, uplifting energy. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already excited to come back

Super private loved all the animals

The sanctuary is an ideal place to park up for the day and switch off around all of the animals. The sites are quite private and spacious - you have a lot of room to yourself. 🚐🌅🌓 🐴🐑🐄The animals are friendly and very well looked after by Clint! We even got to meet all of them and give them a feed in the morning rounds. Definitely recommend this spot and we will be back for sure!

We received a very friendly welcome from Clint and his animals. Kids had a great time helping out on the feeding rounds this morning:- cows, horses, sheep, goats and more. Beautiful views of mountains and forests. Best suited to those who are fully setup.

Luckystars Sanctuary was everything and more. We had the best time while we were there and wished we could have stayed longer. After the most amazing welcome from Clint and the dogs we knew this was our kind of place. We were lucky enough to join in and help feed the animals and even had visits from the horses in camp which was magical. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to our friends for future holidays.

What a great stay!!

This is not just your usual Hipcamp — it’s so much more than a “stay for a night and leave” kind of place. When we arrived, Clint gave us a tour around the sanctuary in his car, introducing us to all the animals and sharing their backstories. There are sheep, horses, cows, ducks, pigs, goats… and you can pet them all! The next morning, the volunteers invited us to help feed the animals and even prepare their food — what an absolute highlight! Massive thanks to Clint and the whole team for making it such a special experience. I can’t wait to come back. The amenities were great too — the toilet and shower were super clean and just a short walk from our campsite. There’s even filtered water available. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and wants a truly unique, heartwarming stay.

Big thankyou to Clint and his team for a wonderful camp! Clint was very welcoming and accomodating. Affordable big private campsites surrounded by animals, great spot for families. The kids loved learning about and feeding the animals with your friendly team. Your hard work and dedication doesn't go unnoticed :) Definitely recommend even as a base camp to visit the beautiful beaches within an hours drive, felt like we were coming home after a big day at the beach :) Thanks again 👍

We had an amazing time at the sanctuary. Having access to power and a shower for the price was amazing. The roosters woke us up a bit early but we were able to enjoy the morning helping to feed the animals with the team and learn all about the sanctuary and the animals they take care of. Amazing stay and ended up being a highlight of our roadtrip.

Huge campsites and rescued animals

What an incredible sanctuary. So many beautiful rescued animals from cattle, horses and pigs to chickens, sheep and pigeons and so many more. What an incredible job the staff at the sanctuary are doing for these animals. So much space and privacy for our 2 night stay. We had a tour by Clint of the property on arrival and we joined in on the animal feeding one morning also. Plenty of free firewood available that we were able to chop up. A really lovely stay :)

We had the most magical stay at Clint’s sanctuary. It’s fantastic to see the love and passion he has for his animals and truly sees them as his family. He took us for a spectacular ride around his property and introduced us to all his animals. It was also accompanied by the most sensational sunset. Definite do not miss !
