Prime river frontage with Sugar Cane on the other side, it was so private! Water was available which was a great bonus and a camp kitchen and carport. Brilliant spot! Highly recommend, we were there for 9 nights and wish I could have stayed longer. Just a great spot! We shall return!

An amazing location on the water’s edge. Watching amazing sunrises and sunsets, sugar cane burning and even pods of dolphins swimming by.
A great spot with high pressure town water, a flushing toilet and structures to sit under.
Camp kitchen could do with a gurney to get rid of the bird poo but if you’re camping I’m sure you’ll have your own gear.
Highly recommended and we will be back.

Loved camping at Riverside great little spot. Nice and quiet also has great amenities. Our dogs loved it easy access to the water for fishing swimming and kayaking. The little town of Lawrence is just down the road and it's only about 15 from Maclean. We will definitely be back again. And the hosts are lovely people.

A wonderful site right next to the river. Easy to get the kayak in and out. There is a camp kitchen with a BBQ, sink and table and chairs. James was helpful and quick to respond when messaged.

It is a lovely part of the world and a great spot to camp. The sites are right on the river with easy access to put in the kayaks. There is a camp kitchen with lights, a BBQ and a sink. There is also a toilet available. James was lovely and helpful.

We spent lovely week camping on the Clarence river. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves. There is a toilet you can use. The Outdoor kitchen was great particularly when it rained plenty of room to move. The fishing was good, breams, flatheads and catfish and the odd Huge Eel. access to the water was very easy. James and Jodee were fantastic hosts and provided a bag of timber. Huge camp fire 🔥 was great for cooking with our camp ovens - we will definitely be back

James has a beautiful spot by the river. Very secluded and quiet yet still close to town for amenities. The river was actually inaccessible for us during our stay due to the flooding but James kindly put us up next to his house which was still secluded and a lovely spot amongst the trees. Highly recommended

Beautiful spot meters away from the river. Booked this last minute and it was perfect for our stay. Gets a beautiful breeze off the river and you can walk right into the river for a swim. James was a lovely bloke as well and had a beer with us. Will definitely be back

Awesome spot right on the water we were lucky to have the place to ourselves for 2 nights . There is camp kitchen and a pergola shade on the rivers edge . Fishing and paddling on our paddle boards and our dog frank loved it , highly recommend .

We recently stayed at this campsite, and it was an incredible experience! The location is perfect—quiet, peaceful, and right on the river, making it an ideal spot to unwind and connect with nature.
One of the standout features is the easy access to the river, which made launching our Jet Ski a breeze. The grassy area along the riverbank is spacious and well-maintained, perfect for setting up camp and enjoying the views.
The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Their attention to detail and hospitality truly made a difference.
If you're looking for a serene riverside campsite with great amenities and accommodating hosts, this is the place to be. Highly recommend

I was struggling to find somewhere to camp the night due to it being so close to new years and christmas holidays when I saw this gem pop up. James was kind enough to offer a spot on his property right next to the water as a great stopover not too far from the main road!
I pulled up to river oaks quite late despite not booking much earlier and the site was easy to find, and in the morning woke up to an amazing view.

A fantastic spot on the river, with well kept grass, ample shelter, a variety of amenities to use and great hosts. This site was one of the best we’ve experienced in terms of its setting on a waterway, the value and the option to have your pets accommodated aswell. Highly recommended!
