We had a beautiful spot right on the water. The view, the bird life and the peacefulness made for a lovely camping spot. The amenities were clean with plentiful hot water and the management very friendly. Lots of families as it was close to Xmas, but we never felt crowded in. Definitely recommend. Only wish we'd brought the SUP's.

1 night at NRMA Myall Shores Holiday Park

Our first night out in our Motorhome and for me, first night under the stars in the southern hemisphere. Myall Shores set a very high bar! Site was immaculate, uncrowded and the pitch lovely, backing straight onto the water. We woke to a family of kangaroos right behind our van, joey playfully bouncing all over the place until scolded by the big male and straight into its Mum’s pouch. Possums, ducks, egrets, pelicans and wee (1m long) dinosaur all visited us at breakfast time - couldn’t have asked for a better welcome to Australia. The site was very peaceful, facilities clean and tidy and staff very helpful - the location beautiful!

Weekend Trip to Fame Mountain Camp - pets welcome

Lovely camp set up, with great amenities with 2 communal fridges (freezers stacked with free zooperdoopers !) so good on a sweltering 40 degree day! Firepits and wood, showers with hot water and toilets - Mei the host is extremely helpful and responsive, would highly recommend for a relaxing, and easy weekend getaway. Thanks for having us!

We had an amazing time staying at Mei’s! The area is quiet and remote and the views are amazing! We arrived a day late due to flight cancellations and Mei offered us an extra night for free which was very kind. She was very accommodating and made everything very clear for us. Shower and toilet facilities are great and showers were nice and warm. Fridges are very useful for storing food and freezers had ice lollies for guests which was a nice touch! Would 100% recommend staying here. Thanks Mei!

Loved the peaceful quietness Bonus greeting by the horse Even our dog loved the horse Plenty of room to play ball The trees were shady and as the bark fell off left theses radiant red trunks The morning we were welcomed by chirping birds wild Golahs - Black Cockatoos and a pair of Kookaburras. A perfect rural setting and very flat ground to park or pitch a tent. The morning g we packed up the Horse Whinnied as we left the site. We will be back.

We are close to plenty of wonderful attractions, activities including, Quad Biking, Koala Sanctuary, Camel Rides, Sting Ray Centre and 4WD on Birubi Beach (permit required). We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome please pick up after them. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times. The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here. Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied. Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. If in doubt call. 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. This year the weather has been terrible. From record rain to drought conditions in 3 months. Because of the earthworks there has been a bit of dust, which we have tried to control with grass seed and then no rain.... once each section of earthworks is done. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow. 6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure. 7) We cannot control the wind, the sun, rain, or lack of rain.

We are only 10-15 mins to Nelson Bay centre. Beaches are just down the road also which includes Birubi Beach which goes all the way to Stockton and many more near by. Right next door is Murrays Brewery and Sunset in the Vines, very handy to be able to walk next door (a really short walk) and have dinner and a drink. Shark and Ray Centre is 10 mins drive also and then there is the Butterfly House and Shark and Ray Rescue Centre just behind us on Marsh Road. Whilst we offer a space on our front area next to the dam, it is only a small area but plenty of room for a large van or RV with room to put out your awning provided you park where we suggest. We supply a fire pit and wood if you would like, please let us know on arrival or before you arrive so we can have it ready, (this in not an extra it is included in the price). We can offer electricity for an extra cost of $10 per night if needed. The main house is at the top of the circular drive way, you will be camping (Approx 50 m from the house). Pictures show this. We endeavour to appreciate your privacy as much as possible.

As we are new to Hip camp we still do not offer water or electricity. We will be upgrading with time as nothing happens in a hurry here which you will feel :) Pets are more than welcome, however they must be well behaved and controlled. We do have a very friendly farm dog named Annie who everyone falls in love with (refer reviews fro reference and pics) Campfires are depending on fire restrictions. Access to the property is easy via a grated dirt road 500m off the highway which is very handy for a quick stop or stay as long as you want. Please NOTE! Adress in Google maps is accurate. For some strange reason Apple maps is not as accurate (sorry folks, I have reported it to Apple so watch this space) Please follow instructions in pics to access either Maestros or Pops paddock. ALSO: If it has been raining or is forecast to rain, the ground can get quite wet underfoot so please check conditions and plan accordingly with appropriate recovery gear. Noonameena is a beautiful retreat that feels secluded from the world, yet is just a stones throw from shops, beach, good food and parklands. We offer a number of grassy, level sites, some with shade, others with sun, all with bushland to the rear. There is also a pond/dam area, and lots of wildlife. We have a fire pit for communal use (subject to fire bans and weather conditions). The kangaroos will come and visit you early in the morning, and in the evening. You will also see lots of different parrots and birds. We even have goannas and echidnas about and the black cockatoos will come in for a visit. You will need to bring your own camp toilet, as we don't have facilities here. Pets are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as we have lots of wildlife around! Please note, when we have heavy rain, the ground can get boggy. We are very mindful to keep tabs on the weather for our guests, and will be in good communication with you in the lead up to your stay should we suspect there to be any issues. Whilst camping by the beautiful dam is lovely in fine weather, when it's raining, it’s best to camp towards the front of the property on higher ground. We'll advise the best solution in these circumstances. LET US KNOW about your preferred booking even if it appears booked out, as we can probably make it work or have ALTERNATIVE solutions for you! Perfect for surfers, offroaders, and nudists alike, Samurai Beach is a hidden gem that has nothing to hide. The South-facing beach often gets bigger swells than its neighbour Stockton Beach, which is often crowded on good surf days.

No permit is needed to drive down Samurai Beach but the entrance can be difficult to find. Tucked in between Port Stephens Treescape and Middle Rock Holiday Resort, you'll find an unmarked sandy path. Following the winding trail, you'll wind through trees and dunes until emerging onto the golden sands. If you're looking for excellent waves in Nelson Bay and don't mind passing old blokes sunning themselves in the nude, Samurai Beach is the place for you.
