With its large, secluded Bush Campsites, 'Chapman Valley' is still Sydney's best-kept secret! Picture this. Your weekend escape is relaxed from the very start - the car trip along the scenic winding Putty Road is slow and leisurely as you know you can arrive at any time for the self serve check-in. After signing in, you meander through this Beef Cattle farm, heading to your own designated camping area. A private corner of the property all to yourselves! After setting up camp, and showing off your awesome (of course) campfire lighting skills, you sink back in your camp-chair and listen to ...the bush. And you see ...the bush. Not a single other camper in site. Oh, except the ones you invited with you of course! There they are. The kids running enthusiastically across the open paddock chasing after their footy, with Buster, the family dog happily nipping at their heels. "They'll sleep well tonight!" you think to yourself happily, as you sink further into your camp-chair and take a long drink on that ice cold beer. 1hr drive from the nearest town (Singleton), "Chapman Valley" is the perfect oasis for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. There are no nearby shops so be sure to bring everything with you. The property offers over 100kms of bush tracks ideal for walking, push-bike riding or 4WDing. On site-horse riding is available, offering rides ranging from 1hr family rides to full day experienced rides. Check out our website for a full list of offerings. The Communal camping area is within walking distance of our amenities block, which offers flushing porcelain toilets and a hot shower. Bush campsites are fully self-sufficient, BYO (bring your own) water and toileting system. All campers are required to take their rubbish home with them as there are no bins on site. Sites available for all vehicle types, from buses and large caravans to fully kitted out off-road vehicles. We offer a self check-in service with full maps and directions, which means you can arrive anytime you like. Free early check-in and late check-out: Check-in anytime from sunrise and check-out anytime before sunset so you can make the most of your getaway.

Private Bush Campsite - 2WD access
This was our third stay at Chapman Valley and our second time camping at Pig Run 2, and it certainly won’t be our last! From the ease of self check-in, and great communication prior, everything was a breeze. We absolutely love staying here. Pig Run 2 was beautifully quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We spent some time exploring the property in our 4WD, enjoying the tracks and taking in the beautiful scenery and wildlife, before returning to our campsite. We ended the day with a great campfire. I highly recommend preordering firewood. Chapman Valley is such a special place, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. We can’t wait for our next stay. Highly recommend—10/10!

Communal Campsite
We stayed at Chapman Valley Horse Riding and Camping over the long weekend and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the communal campground was well maintained and surprisingly peaceful despite being busy. The kids loved the horse riding, riding their bikes, and safely exploring the farm. We enjoyed the farm experience with the horses and cows, and took a drive around the property to check out the different camping areas. The toilets were kept clean, with portable toilets available after hours. We're already planning to come back and try the off-grid camping. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing farm stay.

Such a good camps spot, we stayed in Sidders arm 1 and it was perfect, nice open grass area surrounded by tress and wallaby’s just all around. Another bonus was that there was no service so perfect time just to switch off and enjoy nature . It Was so peaceful at night that all you could hear was the frogs and the fire wood crackling. I will definitely be coming back.

Loved OP5 setup, unfortunately a little tough as little grass but it's understandable as not much rain this year. Good site with protection from the trees, just be wary of running a solar setup. Had great weather and the bushwalks were excellent.

Absolutely perfect! If you need a break from the stressful daily grind, then this place is for you. Breathtaking views, plenty of space, great Hot showers, all within a 2 hour drive from Sydney! It’s perfect! A perfect off grid camp site. We can’t wait to come again.

Beautiful big property, our campsite was set amongst the trees in large, completely secluded, natural surroundings. This is a great bush camping area, with the advantage of hot showers and toilet facilities back at the front gate a 10 minute drive away. Friendly staff too! Come prepared though, no reception or shops within an hours drive.

Spent NYE out here with the whole family and it honestly felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The space is big, open, quiet, and far enough from everything that you really get that “middle of nowhere” feeling, which was the best part. No service meant everyone actually switched off and spoke to each other, and the 4WD tracks kept us entertained during the day. Easy access, plenty of room, and a proper bush escape. A really memorable spot and one we’d happily come back to. 👍

This camping trip was a really great experience. I've always wanted to find a very quiet place to go camping because my dog barks at people, but I could never find one, until I saw this camp site recommended by everyone on social media. I decided to give it a try, and it turned out everybody said was true. Host is really values guests privacy. Now I can take my dog with me in the future. The only bad thing is the site has only one toilet and shower, it was really far apart from our site.

Private Bush Campsite - 2WD access
I wouldn’t recommend this campsite. 1. The place doesn’t look as green and lush as the photos show — it was actually very dry. 2. Our site was listed as “private,” but in reality, there were other numbered sites right across the road and next to us. The area was quite small and definitely not as private as we expected. 3. Most importantly, there was cow manure everywhere and so many flies that it was impossible to enjoy the outdoors. 4. When I booked, it was stated that we could use the shared amenities and were only recommended to bring our own toilet. However, we were not allowed to wash our dishes in the amenities area, which was quite inconvenient. We definitely won’t be coming back.

A Truly Private Escape

Private Bush Campsite - 4WD access
We spent 3 days and 2 nights at this private bush camp, and when they said private, they truly meant it. It was just us and the cows, no other campers in sight. You’re completely surrounded by nature. Peaceful, quiet, and beautifully secluded. Our pups get a bit anxious around strangers, so having the whole place to ourselves was such a huge plus. Each morning we woke up to the sounds of nature, and each night ended with a campfire under a sky full of stars. The site is clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. If you’re looking to truly disconnect and unwind, this is the perfect spot. We really hope it stays as private and serene as it is now.

Communal Campsite
Great location for simple tent camping. Toilet amenities were top notch, the boys went exploring 4wd and had a blast. Would recommend.

Communal Campsite
I loved that the communal campsite is not crowded. You can camp anywhere. The campground is well maintained. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The check in process is very smooth, professional, and organised. They are very responsive to emails and other inquiries via hipcamp or direct email. This gave us so much peace of mind especially leading up to the day of the camp. They email so many important information about the camp rules, check in process, and the directions to the camp site. This will definitely be one of our favourite campsites. It’s not just a campground, it’s home away from home.

I don’t want to review this place because I want it to stay my little secret! Couldn’t be more beautiful land, lovely people, sweet cows, and great walks. Will be our go to escape !

Private Bush Campsite - 4WD access
We had a great time camping in one of the private campsites, so much space, we had a creak with water which was very nice, and close enough to the toilets if you needed them. We loved the horse riding, and just had a great time camping at Chapman Valley.

Communal Campsite
We loved camping at Chapman Valley. We had a great little spot. The location, off grid, serenity was all our group needed for a weekend away. Fantastic customer service from all the folks at the office. Such kind and approachable staff. Loved being close to nature and enjoyed the 4wd off road exploration to see the amazing natural beauty of the land. Horses were beautiful, great for kids and families and friends to share and make memories.

Private Bush Campsite - 4WD access
We stayed at Skidders Arm 2 cmapsite and it was just beautiful! Nice and private, well marked out and signposted with easy to follow directions. The site has a nice flat clearing, surrounded by beautiful trees on one side and a bit of a bluff on another, it was just magic down there. Our dog and toddler had a ball! We purchased firewood and it was waiting for us at the site when we arrived. It was well seasoned and stress free. I went for the morning horse ride as well and the staff were wonderful, they really love their horses. The ride was gorgeous! Will definitely be back, thank you!

We stayed at skidder arm 2 campsite for 2 nights and it was so private! Beautiful land, great 4wd tracks if your cars can handle it and we even got to witness a cow giving birth! Kids had a ball! Will definitely visit again!

Campsite was extremely spacious and very private. Our load of firewood was waiting for us when we arrived as promised. Perfect spot to relax and experience the peaceful bush around you. Will definitely be returning.

Second time camping here. First time was in the communal area but decided to go further into the property this time in the 4wd only area. It was great to not hear another soul while there and be able to get away from it all. Area we were allocated was nice and open but also had some bushland behind us. Kids loved seeing kangaroos bounce by and cows roaming around us. There were a few fresh cow patties which were all around our camp area so needed to watch where we stepped at times and made it hard to kick a soccer ball around but thats nature I suppose. Overall its a great place and I will be bringing the kids back for a 3rd time!
