Perfect grassed areas, backing onto Tavern & village
Position of this campground is amazing for enjoying all that a country village has to offer. The campground itself isn’t anything fantastic as far as amenities & camp kitchens are concerned but let me tell you. It’s position is just next level, a short walk up to council toilets or a short walk in the other direction to the amenities of Wollombi Tavern. you won’t be disappointed lots of fire pits available and we’ve stayed there twice in the last two months and it’s been nothing short of fantastic.

A very beautiful spot and conveniently close to the main street. After reading other reviews, we felt quite lucky that on most days there were only one or two other groups staying there. Unfortunately, on our first night, one group decided to play loud music until midnight. The next night, another group had two dogs that barked throughout the night and seemed to think our campsite was much better than their owners'! Such are the joys of sharing a camping space.
We were fortunate to secure what was probably the only properly flat area available. There were three of us in campervans and a caravan, and most of the remaining spaces were on a noticeable incline.
Overall, it's a nice spot, but as many other reviewers have mentioned, it is quite expensive for what is essentially a patch of grass with no amenities, power, or ablution facilities.

Behind The Old Pub House Wollombi
Michael's land is close to all the town facilities. A short walk over to the Wollombi Tavern and pretty much everything else.
There isn't much level ground and no facilities, so the price of $61 per night is a bit steep, but, we were happy to stay there for two nights.
We would recommend staying there if you want to be close to everything in Wollombi.

Beautiful location to the picturesque village of Wollombi, close to pub & public toilets, which were cleaned by Council on a sun morning!
Michael and his family are amazing people. They’re so friendly and welcoming. The location is fabulous with the pub and Main Street in walking distance and a children’s play equipment close by. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay again.

We've camped numerous times in Wollombi but never on Michael's site. Safe to say that we will 100% be back - we absolutely loved being so close to the Wollombi Tavern. The site is small but this is one thing we loved about it - being able to socialise with the rest of the campers (who were so friendly!). Thanks again Michael and we can't wait to come back!

We were travelling by bike, so it was a very convenient spot for us — close to the tavern, but far enough away to stay peaceful and quiet.
We loved camping at the old house behind the pub. It was so close to everything in Wollombi and yet so quiet. We had a lovely shady spot on the grass above the creek we fell asleep listening to crickets chirping and babbling water. It was a long weekend and we were the only ones there!!! Shame it wasn't cold enough for a fire. 10 out of 10.

Such a beautiful place ! Right behind the Tavern at Wollombi! We had a beautiful spot right near the creek, nice and flat and we were the only ones there. We enjoyed music from the tavern and had a decent feed there. Then the second night OMG!!! We counted 18 cars in the small paddock and everyone had vans, campers or swags… they definitely overcrowded the area. On the description they said there is 10 sites with a max of 21 people … we lost count of the people there were so many. People were camped all around us to the point we couldn’t get out the next day when we were due to leave. Our first night was heaven our second night was hell… there was a bucks party there and let’s just say we all got an education.
Would we stay again ?? Yes absolutely but not in school holidays on a long weekend 🙌🏻

The blurb says 10 sites…. We booked 2 sites … too many people booked in on an already saturated site due to previous water damage to the area due to recent flooding.
Some people couldn’t fit in …they camped above the area on the road… we have stayed previously and it was fantastic with less people but a little disappointed this time round.

Great spot for a 1 night stop over with moveable fire pits, really nice spot right by the river and you can walk 3 mins to the pub from the camp site. Very clean public toilets also very close (50m), could not find a water tap but the pub would probably have one. Personally I think if you had more than 4 vans or 4 car campers it would lose its nice personal space feeling. Micheal (owner) very accomodating and friendly. Bit exy at $30 pppn, but close proximity to lovely village (100m), pub and toilets, it gets my vote for a nice stopover. We will return.

We stayed for 1 night. Wollombi is a cute village. But honestly it was too much money for a site with no amenities. Close to pub is what you are paying for. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Sloping block but we were the only ones there so picked a flat area.

Another amazing stay at our fav place beautiful weather and great camp neighbors.
Great spot in the heart of Wollombi. Perfect for a fun weekend riding bikes around the valley.
