Nestled in a wildlife corridor, our 1.4 acre property is surrounded by trees and nature. There are two campsites separated by a communal picnic table and fire pit which ensures your privacy. There is also a toilet block with a toilet. The spot is located in the backyard, away from the main house where the owners live.
A stone's throw to everything the Gold Coast has to offer. Less than 10 minutes to Tallebudgera, Palm Beach and Currumbin beaches, 15 minutes to swimming holes and waterfalls in the hinterland and to the thriving restaurant and nightlife scene in Burleigh or Coolangatta. 30 minutes to the heart of Surfer's Paradise, 45 minutes to Byron Bay. 5 minutes to supermarkets and shopping at The Pines and 19th Ave shops.
As we are in a nature corridor, please ensure you do not collect firewood from the property grounds and take your trash out with you. There is a petrol station around the corner (corner of 19th Ave and Guineas Creek Road) with bins, firewood for sale and a water tap.
Please note that being 1.4 acres, our property is ideal for overnight stays and using as a base for a trip to the Gold Coast as it is quiet, private and has a stellar location. It is truly seclusion in suburbia. For those who plan to spend most of their time at the campsite and are looking for a much more wild, bush camping experience - we suggest you book a site further inland where you will find larger properties to camp on.

PLEASE NOTE: The Hipcamp service fee varies according to the amount of the booking. For one guest for one night the service fee is 18% approx. of the camp site fee. Bookings at Natural Bridge Retreat have to be for a minimum of two nights. As most bookings are for two or more people for two or more nights, the service fee is generally 11.2%.
A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation.
There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks.
You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with
ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau.
Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife.
This is a property for nature lovers.

Jandarra Farm offers a comfortable and peaceful camping experience on a working farm in the Gold Coast hinterland. Certified through Ecotourism Australia, Jandarra’s goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future.
Jandarra means 'place of peace' and we honour this by having a maximum of 6 campers at a time. Guests can visit the rockpool, take a self-guided walk through the rainforest, book a sauna (see Extras), and enjoy a conversation around the campfire under the stars (BYO firewood or see Extras).
Take a short, hot shower with a view of the hills, toilets, and a well-equipped camp kitchen (no microwave) inside a rustic barn with tables and chairs. Starlink is the newest additon to the farm, though will be turned off at night to keep with a wifi free environment when dark.
The 135-acre farm in Tallebudgera Valley is home to cattle, chickens, worm farms and bee hives, plus local wildlife. Guests are invited to learn about regenerative agricultural practices such as how Jandarra is managing cattle to build soil biology and rebalance nature.
This is primarily achieved through the use of holistic management practices - moving the cattle every day using electric fences (to replace the predators) and small paddocks (26 of them actually).
As food security and clean food becomes more important than ever before, we can contribute in a small way to improving the quality of your soil to grow vegetables by providing short introductory sessions on worms and manure for your gardens. See Extras for more information.

There are many places to wander, sit and listen. Over 90 bird species have been listed here if you are into bird watching.
Jandarra is a registered Land for Wildlife property and we ask all guests to be mindful of wildlife and farm animals when moving around the property.
SUSTAINABILITY
The caretaker of this property co-founded "Boomerang Bags", a not-for-profit organisation raising awareness of plastic pollution through community engagement. There are over 1200 communities globally diverting material from landfill and creating habits of reuse rather than single-use. Therefore, drumroll...please bring reusable rather than single-use (eg beeswax wraps instead of cling wrap, real containers rather than takeaway) and take home any rubbish (you won't find any bins except for the food scraps). We would be very happy to show you how to make a boomerang bag for keeps on the industrial sewing machines that live in the garage. Let us know if you would like to try your hand and create a momento and useful shopping bag as part of the Jandarra experience (see Extras).
ABOUT REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
Jandarra is the 40th property in Australia to undertake the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) Process through the Savory Institute.
EOV was developed in collaboration with leading soil scientists, ecologists, agronomists and an extensive network of regenerative land managers around the world. EOV is a practical and scalable soil and landscape assessment methodology that tracks outcomes in biodiversity, soil health, and ecosystem function (water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics). Jandarra has 10 Short term monitoring sites plus one long-term monitoring site. By recognising both land regeneration targets and trends, EOV endorsement is bestowed as long as land health moves in a net positive direction with the second testing in April 2022 confirming this. We believe EOV gives the land a voice and through this process, provides us with feedback to make better management decisions. We welcome a conversation and to share more information when you visit.

Welcome to my beautiful 100 acres that backs on to Springbrook National Park. There are crystal clear freshwater creeks. Most campsites next to the creek. The property is mostly natural bush with some cleared patches for camping and horse grazing. There are a number of small water crossings on the road entering the property if you are delicate with your car I would not recommend.
Only 30 mins from natural arch and 20 mins to great fishing and crabbing in the tweed river.
Dog friendly (must be well controlled no aggressive dogs).
Drop toilets and hot showers.
There are 2 cabins available each with private portable toilet and hot outdoor showers.
Campfires permitted ( when fire bans not in place) and wood can be purchased in advance during booking process. No fire wood to be collected off property BYO or purchase in advance.
Not a place for loud music and parties, happy for everyone to have fun but noise is restricted. If you are a disturbance to other campers you will be asked to leave without a refund.

The River Orchard

The River Orchard is a majestic 165 acres property nestled between the Oxley River and Mt Warning. The working macadamia farm boasts five campsites each positioned in different nooks with only one group booked in per campsite.

The Flats Site - The Flats is an extra large site closest to the Oxley River enjoying direct water access with two levels. The first is sheltered by an overhanging sour cherry tree and overlooks the bottom plateau and swimming spot. This site is a short three minute walk to the shower shed.
Riverview Site - Riverview is perched on the raised riverbank looking down upon the swimming spot and rapids. A sprawling old tree shelters this extra spacious campsite ideal for large groups. We recommend Riverview for guests with younger children as it does not have direct river access and is the closest to the shower shed.
Orchard View - Situated next to the Riverview campsite, this location is close to the river with stunning views across the macadamia orchard.
The Grove - The Grove is one of our cosiest sites framed by a towering tree complete with stag horns, with branches that sprawl out over the campsite offering an abundance of shade. Close to the shower shed & a short walk to the river.
The Pine Hideaway - This is our most private and stunning site. It looks out over the lotus flower filled dam to mountain panoramas and a secluded island.
