Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
A 15 acre entire property private sanctuary, where you have the entire property to yourself. Only 950m walk from Australia's best beach (Cabarita Beach, Tourism Australia 2020). Surrounded on 4 sides by National Park. Bliss. Ocean views from the top of the paddock at the campsite. High chance of seeing a koala as located in a conservation zone. Really private place for a campsite, not visible from the road, perfect for a fire and a restful sleep. We have a 15 acre paradise, surrounded on every side by Cudgen Nature Reserve which is managed by NSW National Parks and is only a 950m walk to the beach and about 600m to the main shopping centre and 350m to the local bowling club. Drive up the driveway (easily 2WD and large vehicle accessible) and soak in the ocean and lake views. Smell the salty air, listen to the native birds and light a fire for warmth. Native forest is abundant, and one can easily spend an hour or two wandering the property watching the birds, the ducks by the dam or the stars at night. The prime position is a flat, cleared grassy hilltop, with very little else offered here. This is what we feel makes it so special. Every vehicle can access the site so there is no need to clarify prior to booking. Our driveway was extensively upgraded in 2023. Please note our strict cancellation policy - you will recieve a 50% refund up to 30 days prior to your booking so we recommend not cancelling within 30 days of your trip to avoid disappointment. Check in and check out times are fixed and NOT flexible. We recommend spending the morning in Cabarita township or at the beach prior to your check in.

A very peaceful location all to yourself so close to town and the beach. Well set up with some solar lights, fire-pit, table, benches and swing. The dogs loved the freedom and there are some great off lead dog beaches close by. The elevated location meant we also had some lovely cooling breezes.

Amazing location and upon arrival we were greeted with a delightful space lite with lovely solar lights, surrounded by crickets and frogs and the sound of the ocean! It felt like “coming home”. This is our second time visiting and Scott the host is very responsive and easy to talk to. We will always recommend this location and being so close to town and beach it’s a perfect place to camp. There is a bbq table and fire pit with ample seating and beautiful swing for the kiddos to enjoy. We will be back in the new year!

We had a lovely time at Cabarita beach station. Scott has a wonderful patch of the world, and we are very grateful he is happy to share it with the Hipcamp community. Wonderul set up with picnic table, firepit, solar lights, and tree swing. Excellent communication and directions from Scott made arrival and set up a breeze. We would love to stay again soon.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay. Beautiful, perfectly maintained quiet site. Large, flat, breezy with a huge fire pit and well-stocked with wood. Easy walk into town and the beach. Scott was great with communications. Only down side was that we failed to spot a koala despite heroic efforts. Looking forward to a return visit!

Really close to town and beach with only minimal road noise. We loved having the place to ourselves. It is surrounded by very tall gum trees which made me a bit nervous to camp under. We would definitely return.

We had a great stay at cabarita beach station. Great for kids, the swing kept them entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed the view. Highly recommend this camp if you are in the area.

We had a great weekend at Cabarita Beach Station. Beautiful site, surrounded by nature, but just a very short drive to beautiful beaches (and shops which was handy). Great communication from the start, and good instructions on how to access the site. Fireplace was great. Definitely no facilities, but site was flat, easy set up for caravan. trailer and tent set up. Plenty of space. The puppies were very happy. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

An amazing site in an amazing location. So close to Caba and the beach but yet it feels so remote. The road in and camp site is well maintained. The host was helpful and quick to respond. We had the best weekend here and definitely will be back.

Our second time staying here, and I'm sure we'll be back. The location is amazing, able to hear the ocean in the evening, and if willing it's not too far of a walk to the local shops and beach.

Like other reviews have mentioned, this is a very special place. You are seriously on top of the world here with sweeping views through the trees to Cabarita Beach. There was a bit of traffic noise as you would expect for a magic location that is just out of town and the best bit is that you can go into town, grab whatever you want and then come back to the tranquility of Scott’s spectacular property. Such versatility! There are a lot of little extras here for kids, adults, families. Just perfect. Thankyou .

Off grid and felt like your private bush oasis, yet beach and shops only 950m in reach. Excellent campfire facilities with an abundance of kindling and wood available. The bush swing and tracks to explore were also a highlight. Will definitely be back!!

Overall, we had a really good time at the site — it felt private with great vibes. A couple of things to note: you can often hear some road noise, and the entry to the site is a little chaotic. Also, the hosts have a very strict cancellation policy, so bookers should be aware of that before committing.

Really beautiful piece of land just outside of town. Completely quiet and tranquil. Great fire pit and swing. Super private. Shady trees. Tip: When pulling out with a caravan there’s a spot to safely park on the other side of the road (heading back in to town) to walk back and lock the gate.

Quiet, peaceful place. Justonutes away from the coast. Large area. Good firepit with plenty of fuel in the area. The only downside is the massive mosquito swarms.

This place was truly magical. Easy access, great spot to pull up the motorhome. Amazing view. We set up then started out fire , fire pit was amazing , heaps of wood available . Fairy lights set up which was beautiful. Great roaming the bush and then 10 min walk and we were at the beach . My dog had an amazing time exploring the whole area. Will be visiting again soon. It’s a must ! Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely quiet secluded spot on a hill surrounded by tall gum trees. A great fire pit. The dog loved being off leash. An easy walk along the road to the township. It was wonderful having the whole site to ourselves and we are looking forward to returning.

Amazing location, close to beach and 4 mins drive into town. Will definitely be back. Was handy having access to hosts tools (saw / hammer) to cut up fallen branches. Very clean and lovely with fire pit and large picnic table for our exclusive use. Will definitely be back.

It’s a great place for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some tranquility. Just be sure to bring what you need, as it’s a simple setup with minimal facilities, which was perfect for us. We loved collecting wood, sitting by the fire, and waking up to birdsong. Will definitely be back!

Perfectly isolated just as we'd hoped, offering peace and quiet surrounded by nature, yet a short drive or easy walk to beach and local supermarket. Despite the rainy weather we had, we still enjoyed ourselves, especially with the abundance of birdlife around.

Cabarita Beach Station was perfect for us! A beautiful, cleared position on top of the hill overlooking Cabarita, the sound of the ocean at night and the birds all day. It is close to a dog friendly beach that was fantastic to share with our doggie. Our very own, private and secure piece of paradise. Thank you Scott so very much for sharing.
