Nestled in the beautiful rainforest of Commissioners Creek, Trickling Waters Retreat is a peaceful sanctuary where forest, water, and wildlife come together to create a truly grounding escape. Our land offers a blend of comfort and raw natural beauty. If you're after loud music and late-night vibes, this probably isn't the right fit. Guests come here to unwind and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature so we ask that noise is kept low and loud music isn't permitted. Wake to birdsong, fall asleep to the soft rush of the creek, wander through open grassy spaces, or relax by the water’s edge. The creek flows year-round sometimes deep enough for a refreshing dip, and other times shallow, cool, and perfect for wading, creek-walking, or just sitting with your feet in the water while listening to the trees. In the evenings, gather around your private fire pit, , each site offers a unique fire pit experience with wood provided, perfect for slow conversations, warm or cold drinks, and unwinding by the glow of the flames. and letting the stars take over the sky. It’s a quiet, peaceful spot where guests often tell us their minds finally stop racing. We currently offer a spacious secluded glamping tent overlooking the creek, plus beautifully spread-out grassy areas ideal for campers seeking a true nature experience. Guests also have access to our modern amenities pavilion, hot shower, flushing toilet, and a shared outdoor wash-up area to make your stay effortless. Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic nature getaway, solo traveller wanting space to think, or small group looking to unplug and breathe again, Trickling Waters Retreat offers a calm, memorable escape on one of Commissioners Creek’s most serene pockets of land. Good to know 🌿 We don’t currently offer EV charging on-site, and our standard outlets cannot be used for charging. Nearest options are available in Uki (approx. 20 mins) or Tweed Heads.

Tree Nook is an open grassy clearing, that sits between tall trees with the creek running along the back of the site. The creek changes with the seasons, sometimes shallow and trickling, sometimes fuller with trickling mini cascades Amenities are in very close proximity, just a short walk across the lawn. Guests have access to power points, a wash-up sink, a hot outdoor shower and a flushing toilet. Sacred Rock Campsite

When it is booked this fire circle is reserved exclusively for that booking and a Reserved sign will be displayed. Sacred Rock is our most spacious creekside site. A wide, open lawn, with a natural stone circle at its heart. It’s a the perfect place for families or small groups to spread out, share stories and watch the sky turn from pink to deep velvet over the tree line. This site features the Sacred Rock gathering circle, a ring of large boulders and a communal fire pit. Every rock in the circle was unearthed right here on the property. They’re likely part of the ancient volcanic landscape shaped by the Tweed / Wollumbin shield volcano, whose eruptions around 23 million years ago formed the huge caldera and rich valleys that surround Doon Doon and Mount Warning / Wollumbin today. We don’t know the exact story of these particular stones, whether they’re old lava boulders or once sat in another rocky outcrop nearby, but we do know they carry a sense of deep time. Sitting around the fire, with the creek murmuring in the background and the dark silhouette of the forest behind, it’s easy to see why we started calling this place Sacred Rock, it just feels like a spot for slow conversations, quiet reflection and connection. From your camp you have: A generous grassy area for tents, swags or a small camper The Sacred Rock fire circle for cooking and evening gatherings (subject to fire restrictions) it is a short stroll to the shared amenities area Sacred Rock Campsite is ideal for couples wanting extra space, two families camping together, or a small group of friends who’d like their own big fire circle under the stars. Sacred rock campsite is a great space for gathering around the fire, but we do keep things low-key to maintain the peaceful feel of the retreat. No loud music, just easy relaxed evenings in nature.

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of the property, this shady creekside campsite offers the perfect blend of privacy and natural beauty. Your site sits beside a lush green clearing beneath a wide, sheltering tree, with a fire already set up for relaxed evenings outdoors. directly beside your site, you’ll find our freshwater rockpool, “During extended hot weather, the creek may stop flowing and the rockpool can become shallow and still. It’s still a peaceful spot to sit, cool your feet, and enjoy the birds and butterflies, but may not always be suitable for swimming.” The site is flat, grassy, easy to access, and close enough to the amenities for convenience while still feeling secluded. There’s plenty of room for a tent, shade throughout the day, and direct access to our creekline walking areas. Tucked away within a tranquil garden and surrounded by gentle bushland, this fully self-contained cabin offers a peaceful and private escape, immersed in nature. Wake to birdsong, fresh air, and the natural beauty of trickling waters retreat. The cabin is thoughtfully positioned to offer privacy, with its own dedicated ammenities including a private bathroom with shower and toilet, plus a washing machine and dryer for guest use. There is no need to share facilities with other guests. Guests are welcome to enjoy a leisurely stroll, through the garden, down to the creek or wander up to the small orchard at the top end of the property. For everyones's comfort and privacy, we only ask that guests give the other campsites and glamp guests privacy. inside, the cabin features one gueen-sized bed in the bedroom and a fold-out fouton lounge in the living area, for which linen can be requested. The cabin is most suitable for couples or solo travellers, seeking a quiet, nature-based retreat with the comforts of home

Such a beautiful and well kept campsite. The weather, unfortunately, was not in our favor however we were the only ones at the campsite so we had private use of the bathroom and camp kitchen. We did not get to enjoy a campfire, but it was there for us. Should the weather have been more kind. This guy at night is absolutely stunning with very little light pollution. The facilities are excellent, and the location is stunning. We look forward to visiting again when the weather is more kind. Also our puppy Alice enjoyed roaming the rolling green hills.

Amazing spot by the creek! Beautiful, private location with everything you need. All the little details and luxuries were a nice touch. It was so nice to sit back by the fire, to the sound of the creek and escape life. So peaceful! We just wished we had stayed another night to enjoy it more. We’ll be back!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this camp and will most definitely be returning. The owners were incredibly friendly, the grounds were immaculate, and being able to escape from mobile service made the experience even more peaceful and relaxing. The night sky was breathtaking, and the fire pit with the generously supplied wood was a real highlight. The camp kitchen and bathroom were both very clean and well maintained. We are still quite new to our Hipcamp journey, but this has easily been our best experience so far. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality — we are already looking forward to coming back! We loved camping at Trickling Waters as it is a beautiful spot, very well maintained property, lovely grass everywhere (our large camping outdoor mat didn't even get dirty, that's how fab the grass is), the campsites are spacious and the hosts do an absolutely amazing job of making sure everything is perfect - they provide firewood for your first night, but they are so generous it's enough for two nights. They even provide a large rubbish bin at each site. The bathroom facilities are top notch - it is always so clean and they provide everything from body wash to shampoo, condition, lotion and more - it's amazing, not to forget in the communal kitchen they provide dish soap, sponges etc. and even firelighters in case you forgot yours, plus toys for the kids! Just outstanding, so generous. There are also power points at the communal kitchen to charge up your devices, brilliant. It also such a peaceful place, birds chirping and sitting next to the trickling creek was so tranquil. Thanks so much guys, you're doing a super job and we'll be back.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous 4 days on the Rockpool Campsite. The property and facilities are immaculately maintained, the owners are lovely, rubbish is collected and the overall stay exceeded our expectations. Such a peaceful place to relax. We will definitely be back in the future.

Spacious camp site with good facilities. Lovely creek for paddling, deep enough for a dip in some places. Well maintained lawns, with plenty of space for running around. Friendly and helpful owners attend daily to clean amenities and top up firewood. Nearby Crams Farm Reserve is nice to visit, and town of Uki (30 min drive) has essentials plus some lovely shops and galleries.

Rockpool Corner Campsite
We had a wonderful stay at Rockpool Corner Campsite here a couple of weeks ago. My husband and our puppy stayed on the property, and I also had the chance to meet the host, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. The campfire area was already set up with wood, and there was plenty of additional firewood available, which made for a really enjoyable evening by the fire. The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and well maintained. One of the highlights was how peaceful and relaxing the setting was — especially listening to the sound of the running creek nearby. The entire area is beautifully maintained and clearly cared for. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing place to stay and we would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature.

Trickling waters is a lively green and spacious property, bordered by a clear creek. All the sites are large and separated from each other. The amenities were really clean. Bonus was the free firewood (which unfortunately we couldn’t use because it was too wet) but hopefully next time!

This was hands down one of the best places we’ve stayed. Everything was set up perfectly the grass was freshly mowed, the fire pit was ready with firewood, and the amenities were spotless and well maintained. It’s a truly beautiful spot and clearly very well cared for. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

We prepared for a rainy weekend, but the weather turned out to be amazing! The campsite was fantastic—the grass and lawns are incredibly well-maintained and lush. A huge plus was having campfire wood provided, which made the nights perfect. The amenities were spotless, and the sink was top-tier—it made cleaning up so much easier. Highly recommend this retreat!

Exceptional Accomodation
Creekside Luxe Glamping Tent
Do not hesitate to book time here at Trickling Waters. We spent two nights in the glamping tent and it was simply amazing. Everything you need to stay off grid in ‘luxury’ is provided. Separate, personal shower block away 20m from the living space. The spacious tent boast full size fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave with a full comfortable queen size bed. Full power provided for devices and any other accessory you bring with you (we had a coffee machine). Off grid with no access to internet is perfect with the site next to your ‘own’ water hole with water cascading from the upper creek into your water hole as it meanders further down the property. The firepit sits next to the creek and is the cherry on top to this idyllic location. Cooking on the BBQ with the sink next to it to clean up after a meal on the deck before sitting back in o relax to the sound of running water and the local bird life. Beautiful way to spend a weekend without worrying about set up and break down but still bedding down under a tent away from the busyness of life. We highly recommend staying here as you are well looked after by the owners and their exceptional accomodation.

This glamping spot is truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. We were so pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully Kat had provided everything needed for a luxurious camping experience. Having power in the tent was a huge bonus, along with the large fridge, microwave, and fan. The fire being all set up and ready to go was such a lovely extra touch. The creek is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush green grass, and the setting feels very private and peaceful. The shower was amazing, and honestly, everything was just perfect. We would highly recommend this special place and will definitely be back. Thank you, Kat, for making our stay so special. Your communication and the effort you put into creating Trickling Waters Glamping was truly exceptional.

Firstly not sure if I can sum up this HipCamp in such a small review. From first making the booking, before leaving and during my stay the communication was quick and all instructions were really clear. The property is stunning, well kept and the facilities are amazing. The shower/toilet is phenomenal, clean and everything you need. The camp kitchen with sink and power is a nice touch. Wood fire was filled with wood and all I had to do was light it. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again soon. In the top 3 Hipcamps I have stayed it (been using Hipcamp years).

Great camp, plenty of space and friendly hosts. There is a shower/toilet and sink, and some power points to use as well. This place is so secluded, set on lush rolling hills, minimal phone reception (great to escape for a few days!). Highly recommend and would return for sure. Thank you for having us!

This place is a little slice of paradise! Perfect getaway with nothing overlooked! Cleanliness, amenities and communication were fantastic. It was lovely to have some time away with family and disconnect - played games, talked and lazed on our floats in the rock pools! I can see why it is called Trickling Waters and it was a beautiful sound to go to sleep and wake up too!!! Thanks so much Kat!
