Nestled in the beautiful rainforest of Commissioners Creek, Trickling Waters Retreat is a peaceful sanctuary where forest, water, and wildlife come together to create a truly grounding escape. Our land offers a blend of comfort and raw natural beauty. If you're after loud music and late-night vibes, this probably isn't the right fit. Guests come here to unwind and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature so we ask that noise is kept low and loud music isn't permitted. Wake to birdsong, fall asleep to the soft rush of the creek, wander through open grassy spaces, or relax by the water’s edge. The creek flows year-round sometimes deep enough for a refreshing dip, and other times shallow, cool, and perfect for wading, creek-walking, or just sitting with your feet in the water while listening to the trees. In the evenings, gather around your private fire pit, , each site offers a unique fire pit experience ( firewood is available at the property for $20 per bag) , perfect for slow conversations, warm or cold drinks, and unwinding by the glow of the flames. letting the stars take over the sky. It’s a quiet, peaceful spot where guests often tell us their minds finally stop racing. We currently offer a spacious secluded glamping tent overlooking the creek, plus beautifully spread-out grassy areas ideal for campers seeking a true nature experience. Guests also have access to our modern amenities pavilion, hot shower, flushing toilet, and a shared outdoor wash-up area to make your stay effortless. Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic nature getaway, solo traveller wanting space to think, or small group looking to unplug and breathe again, Trickling Waters Retreat offers a calm, memorable escape on one of Commissioners Creek’s most serene pockets of land. Good to know 🌿 We don’t currently offer EV charging on-site, and our standard outlets cannot be used for charging. Nearest options are available in Uki (approx. 20 mins) or Tweed Heads.

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of the property, this shady creekside campsite offers the perfect blend of privacy and natural beauty. Your site sits beside a lush green clearing beneath a wide, sheltering tree, ideal for relaxed evenings outdoors. directly beside your site, you’ll find our freshwater rockpool, “During extended hot weather, the creek may stop flowing and the rockpool can become shallow and still. It’s still a peaceful spot to sit, cool your feet, and enjoy the birds and butterflies, but may not always be suitable for swimming.” The site is, grassy, easy to access, and close enough to the amenities for convenience while still feeling secluded. There’s plenty of room for a tent, shade throughout the day, and direct access to our creekline walking areas. This is the perfect spot for campers who want a peaceful corner, the sound of running water, and a shady place to unwind by the fire. the campsite is a great space for gathering around the fire, but we do keep things low-key to maintain the peaceful feel of the retreat. No loud music, just easy relaxed evenings in nature.

Sacred Rock Campsite

Power points for charging, potable water, toilets, a hot shower and our shared camp sink area are all within easy walking distance of this site. Sacred Rock is our most spacious creekside site, with a wide, open grassy area and a natural stone fire circle at its heart. It’s the perfect place for families or small groups to spread out, gather around the fire and watch the sky turn from pink to deep velvet over the tree line. Sacred Rock is a large, open campsite with limited shade and can get quite hot on summer days. We recommend bringing an awning, gazebo or other shade cover during the warmer months. The creek runs right alongside the site, so it’s lovely for cooling off or simply popping a camp chair in the shallows and relaxing. There’s also a shady line of trees nearby where you’re welcome to set up a table and chairs, provided the driveway is kept clear for access to the other campsites. Every rock in the Sacred Rock circle was unearthed right here on the property. They come from an ancient landscape shaped by the Tweed/Wollumbin volcanic system millions of years ago. We don’t know the exact story of these particular stones, but they carry a wonderful sense of the deep history of this landscape. Sitting around the fire as the sun disappears behind the tree line, with the creek murmuring nearby and the dark silhouette of the forest behind, it’s easy to see why we started calling this place Sacred Rock. It just feels like a spot for slow conversations, quiet reflection and connection. There’s plenty of grassy space for tents, swags or a small camper, and the Sacred Rock fire circle is perfect for cooking and relaxed evenings together (subject to fire restrictions). The site is particularly well suited to couples wanting extra space, two families camping together, or a small group of friends. We keep things relaxed and low-key to maintain the peaceful feel of Trickling Waters Retreat — no loud music, just easy evenings around the fire and the sounds of the creek and surrounding bush.

Book the entire campground for your group, Suitable for groups of up to 15 with up to 7 vehicles in total, leaving ample space for your groups tents, trailers, and caravans. Drinking water and power outlets are available at the shared amenities area and are within walking distance of all campsites. There are no powered sites or individual campsite hookups. Electric vehicle charging is not available and is not permitted from campground power outlets. Includes access to the creek, rock pool, all campsites, fire pits, and shared campground ammenities. Please note that the campground ammenities consist of one shared toilet and one shared hot shower as well as a covered wash up sink, bench and table with stools The cabin and glamping tent are seperate accomodation options on the property and may be occupied by guests outside your group. your secluded luxury tent rests directly beside the serene, trickling creek. A peaceful spot where the sound of flowing water soothes you from sunrise to starlight. inside you'll find everything you need, a comfortable queen sized bed, a fold out futon, and a barbecue for easy outdoor cooking. Your private shower and toilet are a short stroll away, for your use only throughout your stay. As evening falls, unwind by your own intimate campfire, surrounded by rustic log seating and the soft glow of the forest. Firewood is available onsite for $20 per bag or feel free to bring your own if you prefer. NOTE: "OPTIONAL ADD ON" The glamping tent sleeps up to 3 guests. Groups of up to 6 guests can be accommodated by booking a "Bring your own" (BYO) additional tent via the extra's tab for $45 per night. There is space for your additional tent to be set up within your private glamping area within close vicinity of the glamping tent.

Sacred Rock Campsite
Great spot - only about 4-5 campsites within a large area which made it relatively private and quiet. The hosts were wonderful, responsive leading up to the trip and helpful there with helping us locate our spot and even getting more firewood on our second day. Bathroom is well kept with a shower, toilet and sink. Extra bathroom supplies provided just in case. There are PowerPoints by the bathroom and a sink/bench to do food prep and clean up. We stayed at Sacred Rock - the fire pit is massive and the drum quite tall but we could still cook in the fire pit with ease. Next time we will bring a grill rack so that we can cook over the coals a bit easier. 5/5 stay for sure :)

Gorgeous spot. Amazing facilities. Great for kids running round and in and out the the creek. Some deep spots for swimming also. Bathroom in really nice condition, and access to power points and dish washing facilities. Also loved the bins they had for each camp site. Will def be back!

This was one of the best HipCamps I have ever stayed at. The property is really beautiful, immaculately manicured - the campsites a good size and relatively flat. The bathroom facilities were fantastic (hot showers and flushing toilets). I was also able to plug my fridge into the power. I will definitely be back for sure.

Rockpool Corner Campsite
We camped 3 night and what's not to like about this camp site?? The hosts are amazing, and were always so quick to get back to you. They even included free kindling and fire starters with the $20 bags of firewood, how good is that! The 4 camp sites are huge, and the grounds are kept so well and beautiful, truly lovely to walk on the grass. We staid on the Rockpool corner site that had great access to the running creek that was so nice for our young boys to splash in. We tent camped and that particular site isn't completely flat but the others sites are, but that was in no way a negative for us. The shower/toilet communal area was fantastic, and they even have spare tooth brushes and toiletries if you forgot yours, and they have shampoo, condition and soap in the shower... fantastic touch!! The hill was great to sit upon each arvo and watch the sunset and or boy roll down it (bring cardboard boxes) which they loved and at night the stars are amazing! The only issue was the March flies towards the end of our trip that were relentless at our site, but the others were okay... but hey that's camping :) There is no reception at the campsites which is awesome! We had a great trip here and would recommend %100!!! Thanks Kat and Frank :)

Sacred Rock Campsite
We had a wonderful stay at Sacred Rock Campsite over the weekend. The location is beautiful, with stunning views and such a peaceful, calm atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts were lovely, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. We would definitely recommend Sacred Rock Campsite and would happily stay again!

My husband and I had a magical time at Tricking Waters celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we found a little gift in the fridge for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We stayed in the glamping tent and loved having a fire every night and falling asleep to the sound of the creek running. We were lucky enough to see fire flies both nights too ✨ highly recommend staying here. The host was very accomodating and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back 💗

Absolutely beautiful location, well kept grounds with limited camping spots available, which ensures a peaceful camp. Also helpful was being able to purchase wood on site, which was delivered to us, and having a fire pit and bin supplied to each spot. We will definitely be back in the future.

This is an amazing campsite, really well kept with nice flat pitches. the little shower and toilet block is really well looked after with hand towels, soap, shower gel, brilliant! There’s an undercover deck area beside the shower with a place to wash dishes and even a box of games and totem tennis. This is a perfect place to get back to nature, the campsites are far enough apart to provide a sense of privacy and the general vibe is nice and peaceful. Will definitely be back, can’t wait!

My husband and I stayed for a few days at the sacred rock site to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved our stay!! The property is so beautiful and well maintained. The fire pit was perfect!! It felt extra special being surrounded by the big boulders! … Sitting out there under the stars, toasting marshmallows was magical! We saw lots of amazing bird life, enjoyed a little stroll to the orchard to pick some yummy fruit! Slept to the sound of the trickling creek. The facilities are great, everything you need and well looked after. Kat is a wonderful host! Perfect little getaway!

We had such a wonderful camping trip here! 🏕️🌿 The whole place is so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. There’s a lovely creek nearby, plenty of open space, and the surroundings are incredibly calm and relaxing. One thing that really impressed us was how clean, modern, and beautiful the toilets and washroom facilities are. Definitely not what you’d normally expect from a camping site! 😍 At night, the place becomes even more special. With very little light pollution, you can look up and see the stars and even the Milky Way. ✨🌌 Perfect place to disconnect from the busy life, spend quality time with family, and simply enjoy nature. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing weekend at the Sacred Rock campsite! The property is maintained to an extremely high standard, and the shower / toilet facilities were an added bonus you don’t come across often. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and enjoy the surroundings, and nothing beats sleeping under the stars to the soothing sounds of the running water in the creek nearby. We can’t wait to return!
