Great spot! Private, peaceful, with a fresh running creek in the background - perfect for unwinding in nature :) Lovely friendly hosts and the goats were super cute. Would love to come back again!

Megan and her partner happily greeted us at a late time during the night, happily escorted us to our camp-site. We had a lovely time relaxing in amongst the bush, along with the creek nearby that was lovely to swim in. We definitely will be back 🙂

Me and my partner booked this place literally at the last minute and Megan was so kind to accept us straight away. We couldn't be luckier!! ☺️
We had the most beautiful evening by the creek, plenty of fireflies flying around and the most beautiful scenery where we could just sit and relax🌿

Fantastic spot! The owners were incredibly friendly, great to deal with and super prompt, even with short notice. The grounds were freshly brush cut and beautifully kept. The baby goats that followed the owners down to greet us were super cute, the creek was crystal clear, full of little fish, eels, and aquatic life. The fireflies at night just topped it all off - such a welcomed surprise! It feels like you’re deep in the forest but really, you’re still very close to Kyogle.

We had a great stay for 2 nights at Fat Duck Farm with 2 families in a rooftop & easy up tents.. We had a secluded area on the creek to ourselves. Megan met us & showed us a camp site, making sure we were comfortable & later dropped a drum down for the fire. Plenty of firewood available in the local area.
The creek was clean, cool & flowing after recent rains. Ideal for children as not deep & access OK, although you need care on slippery rocks in areas. This is a good base for the Border Ranges & we much preferred this to Sheepstation Creek as it was hot weather, & the creek was so good to cool off in. Kyogle is only 20 mins away if you need some supplies. Thanks again Megan

We definitely recommend this spot!
From the get-go this past weekend was a breeze. After the booking was accepted, Megan (The owner) was clear with directions and instructions on where to meet her before she kindly showed us to our pitch. We mentioned to her our style of camping was quiet and private and she accommodated us perfectly with an amazing flat site far away from any noise from others. The pitch was perfect despite the heavy rainfall the day before and to top it off there were next to no mozzies/midges even with the nearby fresh water creek (which we also had private access too). There were horseflies, however they were manageable and neither me or my partner were bitten over the whole weekend.
There’s nothing like sitting around a fire, listening to the creek water run and watching the sun drop behind the mountains alongside the feeling of being totally secluded from humanity. That paired up with an insane view of the night sky (we could see Saturn with the naked eye) AND no need for Aerogard made this spot our favourite so far.

We love Fat Duck Farm! The hosts are amazing and truly care about creating a great experience. It’s such a peaceful spot to relax, unwind, and cool off in the crystal-clear creek. Plus, it’s only a 15-minute drive to Kyogle for any forgotten supplies. This was our second stay, and it was just as special as the first—can’t wait to come back again!

We had a great weekend on a nice secluded camping spot on Megan’s land surrounded by rainforest and next to the running creek. The sounds of the forest and creek were very relaxing. We had to watch the big ants but that was easy. We had a nice cooking fire for the night. Megan was a great host and provide some advice for nice hike along the dirt road. We love to come back.

A perfect spot for our young family (3.5 & 1.5yo) with plenty of room to roam and a nice shallow creek with plenty of access points to play in - plenty to explore around the property too. Megan was a fabulous host - great communication and attentive throughout our stay. Definitely coming back!!

We had super relaxing weekend away at fat duck farm. Megan super friendly and accommodating - gave us a private spot by the beautiful creek - perfect for BYO /self sufficient camping. The place is far enough away to feel secluded but close enough to still enjoy Kyogle and surrounding attractions, Highly recommend!

My boyfriend Shayden and I had a beautiful stay on Megan's property. We really just loved it and felt so relaxed. The creek is so beautiful and there are so many animals like sheep and ducks around and we even saw a peacock. Megan is so lovely and make us feel so welcome. We look forward to going back one day.

Fat Duck Farm is a truly beautiful and peaceful place to relax and connect with nature. Once the camp is set up, you won’t want to leave. The sound of the running stream is incredibly soothing, and it’s the perfect spot to cool off by dipping your feet in the water. Megan provided clear directions and was a wonderfully friendly and accommodating host.

We had a awesome time at The fat Duck Farm , our host Meaghan was amazing, and we loved being close to the creek with the fire, location was great for a day trip to Kyogle for a pub lunch !!! Food was great , highly recommend the Fat Duck , we will be back

We had a fantastic week! It was great to meet Megan and Ray—such good people.
The campsites are spaced, with river access, and fires are allowed, great experience. The creek was perfect for cooling off, and Megan is an amazing host—checking in to make sure we were all set. Joining her for a walk around her land was both enjoyable and educational, and our daughter absolutely loved it. Thank you Megan. Our next trip is already booked.

I could not fault this experience at Fat Duck! My partner and I wanted to get away for new years and Megan (host) put us in the most perfect spot. The places is BEAUTIFUL, the creek is clean and has little spots where you can get some privacy and are deep enough to have a dip.
The host was SUPER responsive and flexible. The spot was easy to find and it was a beautiful drive from the Gold Coast. We were running late and Megan checked in to ensure we were travelling ok which we really appreciated. When we got there (quite late) Megan met us on the road to show us to our spot. Not only was it convenient but she met us with a big friendly smile which made us feel very welcome. The hosts checked in on our last day with a similar friendliness & flexibility.
I will DEFINITELY be heading back here and recommending this site to anyone looking for a gorgeous camping spot.
P.s I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of bugs at this spot. I generally expect lots of flies, mosquitoes or midges when staying on farms and near creeks but I only encountered the odd mosquito at dawn which were barely noticeable and there were very few flies. A couple of horse flys around but hey it is camping! This might change depending on season/ flow of the creek but in comparison to other sites the bugs were very very manageable which is a big plus!

Beautiful property! Beautiful fresh clean running water in the creek! Beautiful fruit and nut trees! We loved this property! Our camp was right next to the creek as were all the sites. The property is well maintained and abundant with nature. Host Megan was amazing. She was accommodating, and friendly. We will definately return soon!

Megan accommodated us at short notice during high season, which was great, as there were only a couple of spots left on the busy riverbank.
Beautiful running creek to swim in and cool down during the hot weather.
Lots of birdlife, saw an Azure Kingfisher.
