Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Beautiful undulating property on the iconic Scenic Rim, with plenty of wide open space for a relaxing few nights under the stars. Enjoy 360-degree mountain views from our top paddock, ideal for those with a self contained set up. The flatter parts of the property enjoy dam views, with gorgeous sunrise and sunsets, close to Maroon and Moogerah dams. We have two dams on the property, so bring your kayak or inflatable. Camp under the gum trees, with kangaroos as your closest neighbours. Watch the pademelons, and bandicoots forage for their tucker, and if you are lucky, you might catch sight of an echidna. This property is full of lots of local wildlife, including king parrots and the unmistakable hum of cicadas. The property is located on the iconic Scenic Rim, near to Rathdowney, Boonah, Kalbarri and Mount Alford, making it a great base camp to explore the region. Queen Mary Falls and other scenic attractions are also nearby. This region is the most stunning region in SEQ. It's not called the scenic rim for nothing!! The duggie in Dugandan even has a menu for your pooch! We don't go anywhere without our fur babies, and welcome on leash animals at any of the campsites.

Among the gum trees

RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 40 m
Book in to this site to camp under the trees. We have a family of Eastern Grey Kangaroos that live amongst the trees here, as well as lots of other native wildlife. You may see the pademelons hopping around, or the long nosed bandicoots on a forage through the leaf litter. We have been lucky enough to see echidnas scratching around in the dirt, and there is an abundance of birdlife, including the cheeky king parrots who are not at all fazed by humans. Short walk or ride down to the 2nd dam from here

Goats Galore

RV/tent site · Sleeps 10 · Vehicles under 40 m
Flat spot up at the goat pen. Our goats are pets and love a scratch and a carrot or weetbix, especially our big boy Remu. Our littlest boys Teddy (check him out on socials #tedtheminigoat) and Rocky were bottle babies and adore people. But most of our herd will take a pat wherever they can get one. We have a herd of 13, made up of a mix of goat breeds, and all have their own distinct personalities, including our cute little pygmy herd. You will fall in love with each and every one of them. You can get any car up here, van or bus. Nice flat pad to park on. No power up there though. Pabs Place is a place of safety for our animals, and some of our goats are rescues. Remu and Poppy, our two large goats, came from a wonderful charity called Til the Cows come home. We are repeat adopters from this amazing organisation. As rescues, they have some trauma from not being cared for as they should, and Poppy in particular takes a long while to build up trust. It is essential that if you have your dog with you that they are not to interact with our goats. We are people who take their dog everywhere so we don't want to restrict anyone, but want to also protect Poppy in her safe haven. She was promised that we would do whatever we could to make this a happy and loved home for her and want to drive that home with guests. Children are to be accompanied by adults at all times when interacting with farm animals. And are not to roam the property unattended. This is a farm, and there are all the usual dangers such as dams, cows, farm animals of all varieties, and of course Australian natives. A reminder that it is against the law to harm any Australian native animal, no matter feather, fur or scales. If you want to book extra animal interactions, let Tink know on booking and we will organise it for feeding times, or to groom and interact with one of our animals. Teddy and Rocky will take a pat all day long if allowed, and our others love a snack of healthy treats. Please do not feed bread to any of the animals. They are all carb junkies like the rest of us but it is really bad for any animal.

Hilltop Camp-Site 1

RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 102 m
Flat, grassy hilltop with 360 degree views of the surrounding region. A 4WD is needed to to this spot, and you will need to be fully self-contained, but it is worth it for the AMAZING views, particularly at sunrise and sunset! I am an occasional wheelchair user and my electric chair can get around easily up on the hilltop.
