Come and experience the beauty of our spacious, grassy campground, dotted with shaded trees and taking in stunning mountain views! This is a shared space with our other onsite campers at the front of the property that is bordered by the crystal clear freshwater creek. We don't designate specific sites, rather you get to choose your campsite - shade vs winter sun, fireplace, mountain vs creek view, close to the amenities or use your self-contained onboard bathroom, camp in a big group or put more space between yourself and the other campers - the choice is yours. If you really want to get away from all the other campers, Click on our other exclusive "Gillies Outlook" or "Saddleback Ridge" campsites which are set well away from the general campground. We provide composting and recycling to make your stay as sustainable as possible. Our amenities are clean, well-maintained, and include hot showers to ensure a comfortable camping experience. The amenities are a short walk away in the main campground (Creekside Campground), with access to hot showers and toilets, and a separate washup area for dishes. The site overlooks the crystal-clear Logan River, a freshwater creek with rounded river rocks. CTM has a self-contained kitchen with a 3-burner gas camping stove, plus all the crockery and cutlery you need. The camper itself is an open-plan space with: -A queen bed (accessed via a three-rung step ladder) -Two single stretcher beds -Carpeted flooring, overhead lighting, and a single power outlet You might want to bring camp chairs to sit by the creek or a picnic blanket for lounging outdoors. Additional Details: -BYO linen (or we can provide and make up the beds for $25 per person if arranged in advance). -BYO esky for cold storage, or rent ours. -Amenities block is a short 70m walk away. -Car parking is nearby, but not right next to the tent—so be prepared to carry your gear about 20m. We loved our stay at Mt Barney Lodge. Such beautiful campgrounds with the most amazing views! Our kids loved playing in the creek and happily explored and coloured in rocks with chalk for ages. We were also visited by the local dog a few times which the kids couldn’t get enough of. Definitely recommend!

My partner and I did a tent camp at Mt Barney Lodge and it was BEAUTIFUL 100% will be going back. It was very lush greenery, peaceful and such a friendly atmosphere. The showers and toilets were clean and all in working order. Highly recommended getting there early as possible or even a three night stay like we did because this place is popular and all the good spots get taken up fast. Thank you Mt Barney we will be back.

A great camping ground for a family weekend. We enjoyed the large grassed area, the creek and the mountain views. The amenities were adequate and clean. Firewood and ice available to purchase and free wifi. There were plenty of fire rings for a camp fire.

Stunning country side, beautiful fresh running creek, lots of birds, plenty of places to hang your hammock and read a book or have a nap. We’ll be back in summer so we can swim! We had a great time.

Mount Barney Lodge was a peaceful and beautiful place to camp even with the wet weather! The bridge crossing into the place does go under when there has been significant rain but it goes down within a day or so. The site is large enough that your not camping on top of others.

Beautiful grassed sites and great fire pits- back to basics camping but with lovely eco friendly amenities. Just a really relaxing and peaceful vibe. Hosts are super friendly and communication was good. Will definitely be back.

Gillies Outlook- Exclusive campsite
This campsite has much to offer from drop dead gorgeous views of mount Barney and the rolling hills that surround and a refreshing billabong that is an 5 minute walk on the Logan river where you can explore and go rock hopping. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen during your stay and the host are lovely and the campsites are well maintained and welcoming. If you also love your star gazing this is the place to come where there is not a trickle of light pollution in the sky. Highly recommend this site 🤙🏼

Super enjoyable trip overall. The host was very accommodating she even accompanied one of our friends who arrived earlier while waiting for the rest of us. We also got a really nice camping spot. Even though there were other campers nearby laughing and chatting, the noise didn’t carry over at all. The trees around the area seem to naturally buffer the sound, so it still felt very peaceful. There are also plenty of activities you can do, like hiking and dipping in the creek. The water is beautiful and refreshingly cold. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

My group and i loved camping here, its spacious, great views, and the owners are really nice. They had a dog who would play and hang out with us for hours everyday, and was not aggressive at all. They sell firewood and ice for a fair price and the amenities block (which had clean showers with hot water) isnt far from any of the campsites. They also had free drinking water at the campsites. Upon arrival the owners showed us some hiking trails, gave us some useful tips and a map for each of them as well as access to their free wifi. They also encouraged us to walk around and explore the area. Overall, it was a great spot to go to, we will be back here one day, i highly recommend.
