Nestled on 42 acres of untamed bushland in Agnes Water, 1770 Eco Camp and Grass Trees Campground offer two unique camping experiences designed to reconnect you with nature. Please note: The property is split into two distinct areas—1770 Eco Camp and Grass Trees Campground—each with its own facilities and rules. It is a 15-minute walk from one area to another, uphill from 1770 Eco Camp to Grass Trees. Take time to review both and choose the one that best suits your stay. Grass Trees Campground sits high on one of the region’s tallest mountain tops, offering sweeping views over Agnes Water, the 1770 Estuary and sandbar, Bustard Bay, and Eurimbula National Park. Sunrises and sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Choose from 20 unpowered sites or glamping tents—ideal for those who want the camping experience without the gear. On-site amenities include a new toilet and shower block, camp kitchen, communal firepit, wood-fired pizza oven, and a magnesium swimming pool. As a wildlife sanctuary, no pets are allowed. 1770 Eco Camp, located at the base of the mountain and just 2 minutes from town, offers a peaceful bushland escape. Camp under the stars or opt for a glamping tent surrounded by tropical gardens and freshwater dams. Facilities include a modern toilet and shower block, communal kitchen with BBQs and firepit, and a rustic chill-out zone with pool table and kids’ games. Enjoy added comforts like free WiFi, espresso machine, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and more. Best of all—pets are welcome at 1770 Eco Camp! Access to Grass Trees is via Corfield Drive, the first right after the Eco Camp turnoff. Feeling adventurous? There’s also a rugged walking track from Eco Camp to the Grass Trees pool—perfect for a scenic hike. Whether you're after mountain-top serenity or a laid-back bush retreat, 1770 Eco Camp and Grass Trees Campground invite you to slow down, explore, and reconnect with the wild.

Great place to stay out in the open and hig above the ocean. So peaceful and the stars were amazing. I wouldn't arrive at night as it's quite a tight squeeze on some of the spot to manoeuvre if your towing . If your in a van it's easy ☺️ Amenities were fabulous and the team were friendly and chatty.

A site very close to 1770 and Agnes water. Good amenities and overall good site. Was only here for an overnight stay but it was comfortable stay. Would recommend and it is also pet friendly!

Overall a bad experience. I recommend to arrive in daylight, as the camping area is very dark and there is basically no light, and very difficult to find our camp spot. The nice pool was not in the camping area, but a 10min drive though a dirt road, and it was reserved for a convention so it was not available to the campers. The water in the showers is yellow and brown, and not very nice. At night there was a lot of wild animals, we saw many frogs, rats, mouse, possum, spiders, lizards, mosquitoes etc, being the main reason for the experience to be mid. The common area was ok.

The camping was very peaceful and the hosts offered us a swim up at green trees in the magnesium pool which was a beautiful view! The clamping site looked incredible and some of the higher camp spots did too but we had our furry friends so we were on the other side of the hill . Recommended as a nice spot to camp . Great amenities as well .

We had a really great stay here. Such a beautiful spot up on a hill overlooking the coast. The amenities were modern, clean and well maintained as well as the camp kitchen. We made woodfired pizzas one night using the oven which was a great treat. Thankyou, we'd like to stay again!

Beautiful site with the spots not on top of eachother, and nice that they’re allocated. Great amenities and even wifi which is helpful for travellers on the go! Can’t do anything about neighbours that decide they want to blast their music though.. Would love to come back again ❤️

We stayed at an unpowered site and it was perfect. Space for 3 small tents plus the car plus firepit. Beautiful bush surroundings. The camp boasts an awesome array of facilities. Camp kitchen is an awesome communal space where you can meet new ppl and enjoy a nice meal or a game of pool or ping pong. Charging points are also available. The amenities are always clean and has plenty of showers and toilets. The staff are awesome and friendly and always helpful. The top camp has a beautiful pool with views to die for. The wildlife is amazing. Staying here reminded me of camping as a kid. Definitely family friendly. With awesome beaches up the road what more could you ask for. Definitely coming back! Most relaxing camping I've done in years.

Unfortunately, our experience was not great. The camping sites were in poor condition, with water pooling everywhere. Luckily, the staff changed our spot, otherwise we would not have been able to camp at all. The kitchen area was very old, with dirty and poorly maintained equipment, which made it unpleasant to use. The only positive aspect was the toilets, which were clean and well maintained.

Massive camp site!! Had it own fire pit and table. Only downside was it was close to the toilets and the smell wafted into our tents throughout the day and night. A site a little further away would have been better. Great facilities for the price. Would definitely stay again. Although we stayed at the busiest time the camp was not packed and didn’t have any loud annoying people.

Beautiful spot, great amenities, nice wildlife, helpful staff, shady, liked the pool table and camp kitchen. The pool and views excellent however long steep walk up, slippery gravel walk down so probably best to use the drive access point from grass trees camp. Not much grass so best to have extra ground sheet for tent and awning. Wifi works at camp kitchen only but that could be a positive. I would go again, 1770 is a hidden gem.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the greatest experience. We weren’t aware we’d have to drive to the pool from our site, the water pressure in the showers was a trickle, it would have been more effective to stand in the rain, the site itself was so uneven they we couldn’t level our van at all and we left as early as we could the next day feeling pretty disappointed. We felt that what was advertised, was not what we found upon arriving.

23E was a quiet site while we were there but there were a few factors to consider. We found the site very Rocky which made setting up a tent difficult. It is a short distance from the bathrooms and camp kitchen. Maybe about 200m downhill. Other than that, the site was good as we could bring our dog. I would recommend this site for a stay of a few nights.
