Great escape to destress and reset!

Peaceful and picturesque landscape. ✨ Farm eggs and coffee vending facility. ☕ Great play area for the kids to stay occupied, and friendly farm animals. Much-needed reset from the busy city life. Would highly recommend for others to give it a go. 👍 Hosts were very welcoming and kept the facilities immaculate. Would love to visit again.

Red Gum Hill

Beautiful campsite! We stayed at Red Gum Hill which had spectacular views. The site was sloping, so come prepared but that's its only downfall. Super private. Definitely would come again.

Perfect getaway

This was our very first Hipcamp experience, so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but our stay at One Tree Hill was absolutely wonderful. We camped at Dead Tree Alley, which was peaceful, private, and only a short walk to the homestead for the bathroom or a hot shower. One of the highlights was the friendly herd of rescue cows, who paid us a few curious visits and seemed fascinated by our campsite and campfire. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views in every direction. The stargazing was incredible, and watching the full moon rise over the ridge was something we'll always remember. Our young children absolutely loved feeding the animals and getting up close to them. Guy was especially patient with our 4-year-old, who was initially nervous around the animals. Thanks to his calm encouragement, our son not only gained confidence but even ended up riding a horse! Guy and his family have created a truly special place. It's clear how much passion and hard work they put into caring for the property and their animals, and sharing it with others. We left with wonderful memories and wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay. Highly recommended!

First of all, Guy is very friendly and accommodating. He treats all campers well. Secondly, Sunset Ridge is the ultimate camp site. The area is all to yourself. You have exclusive views and lucky enough to have hot air balloon go over our campsite. Hot shower is a just a two minute drive as the Sunset Ridge campsite is on the top of the hill. Or 12 minute walk to enjoy the view and farm animals. Very accessible just an hour drive from Brisbane. One of the best camping spots we’ve visited. Also horseback riding and calf feeding was fun and unique for a campsite. Definitely going back again.

We had such an amazing stay! Guy and his family are so welcoming and have done a fantastic job creating such a beautiful little farm. The whole place is peaceful, well looked after, and surrounded by stunning scenery. The starry sky at night was absolutely breathtaking. Without a doubt, this has been our favourite camping experience. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back!

Red Gum Hill

This was our second stay at One Tree Hill, and it definitely won’t be our last. 🤍 The first time we stayed at Sunset Ridge, and this trip we stayed at Red Gum Hill. Both sites were beautiful, peaceful and incredibly private, each with their own charm. If you’re looking for a quiet countryside escape with stunning mountain views, this place is hard to beat. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the creek access, campfires under the stars, and how spacious the sites felt. It was also perfect for camping with dogs (on leash). Access was straightforward in the dry, although we’d agree that 4WD is the better option if the weather turns wet. This has become our favourite countryside campsite, and we’ll definitely be back again. Thanks, Guy, for sharing such a beautiful property with campers. 🤎🏕️🐾

This is our second time camping at One Tree Hill but first time camping at Grey Gum Peak. This site is super private, really well maintained and has stunning views! The kids loved riding their bikes to see all the animals and to the tree swings. Feeding the animals is a huge highlight for them and we love how friendly the animals are. I love the peace and quiet :)

We had such a beautiful stay and couldn't recommend this place more highly. We had a bit of a mix-up with our booking dates, but the host was so accommodating and made everything easy for us, which we really appreciated. The serenity of the property is incredible—it's the perfect place to unwind and switch off. The animals are absolutely beautiful, and the whole property feels magical. We especially loved all the cute, whimsical touches scattered throughout the grounds that made exploring even more special. It really is a one-of-a-kind place, and we'll definitely be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Perfect for Big Groups & Kids!

We come here every year with a large group and always have a brilliant time. Excellent Hosts: The host is incredibly polite, replies fast, and takes immediate action (they fixed a toilet issue for us straight away). Great for Kids: The host's kids are lovely—their daughter was so friendly, played with our group, and happily showed our kids around. The Property: Everything is clean, and there are tons of different, friendly animals roaming around. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this site and would come back. The view is amazing and sites are isolated so you won’t see others at all! The rescues are super cute and friendly. Our little pup enjoyed the stay. 100% would recommend to anyone!!

This was our second visit and it was just as great! Sunset Ridge is a beautiful spot! The animals were an absolute highlight again! The kids are already asking to go back! Guy went above and beyond for us when we got bogged 🤦‍♀️ He graciously helped us, like it was no big deal, even though we took up well over an hour of his + others time!! We will definitely be back… again 😀

Guy was an absolute legend! Incredibly friendly, prompt meeting us on arrival, gave us clear directions to our site and showed us the amenities available! Also has a mini farm where you can do feeding with the animals! And also allot chickens and other animals roaming around! Site is a solid 10/10 amazing views and lovely and quiet!

I truly loved my stay at One Tree Hill, Guy and his hard working crew (all animals included) have created something truly special on this land. Boasting amenities that go far beyond expectations (coffee machine?!) Guy has a talent for capturing the essence of what this work and opportunity is all about. I’m excited to visit again sometime soon! Additionally, Telstra reception is very good, it was winter but I encountered barely any bugs, the stars are magnificent and there’s a diverse mix of bushland, fields and paddocks full of animals to cater for any adventure/getaway one might hope for! Keep it up Guy, there’s not many people willing to nurture the land in the ways you and your family have. Absolutely 5 stars!

Absolutely loved this campground! The location on top of the hill offers a breathtaking panoramic view that stretches as far as the eye can see. Waking up to the stunning scenery and watching the sunset over the landscape was unforgettable. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and incredible views made this one of our favorite camping spots. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. We’ll definitely be back!

Beaut bush escape

Sunset Ridge is a lovely plateau flanked by well established ironbarks and other eucalypts. Watch the day unfold with glorious views of the ranges to the west and south west and wake to the chorus of magpie warbling The country surrounding Sunset Ridge is in great shape with some grande eucalypts in a rolling valley behind your camp spot. Find a spot to pause and watch the button cute Red Backed Fairy Wrens zip around on their bug hunting duties. The week leading into our stay was a bit wet and we could of quite easily cancelled but we were able to easily communicate with Guy via the app and made the call to go ahead with our stay on the day of the booking. The track up to Sunset Ridge was reasonably boggy. Guy allowed me to run the gauntlet in the our Land Cruiser, for which we were massively appreciative. We’ll be back without a shadow of a doubt!

This was our second stay at One Tree Hill, and once again it was absolutely fabulous. Guy and his family are wonderful hosts who make you feel incredibly welcome. The farm stay itself is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind. The twice-daily animal feedings were a highlight, providing a genuine insight into farm life and making the experience even more special. We cannot recommend this Hipcamp highly enough and will definitely be back again in the future.

Absolutely beautiful campsite. We stayed at Grey Gum and had the best private views. Guy is very welcoming and responsive to messages. The sites are enormous, well maintained and incredibly private. There was a lower site and upper site. We stayed at the upper site which was more private. Every morning and arvo you can feed all the rescue animals which was really special. WE WILL 100% BE BACK.

We loved tent camping at this site. Very picturesque. Guy and his family are lovely and very accommodating. Facilities were perfect for what we needed (flush toilet and hot shower). Our daughter loved the animal experience and having the animals around was a great atmosphere. We fully intend to return.
