Luke, Arna and the Family would like to welcome you to Yabba Ridge Farm. We own 35 beautiful acres along the banks of Yabba Creek. 3 minutes out of Imbil village, 12 minutes to Borumba Dam and surrounded by State Forests. We offer 4 sites, both powered and non-powered sites. Nestled along the banks of a pristine section of the Yabba Creek, there are large swimming holes for all water activities and shallow rapids great for the kids to play in. The Creek is home to an array of wildlife. Platypus are seen daily, plenty of bird life and a variety of fish and turtles. Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year. The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge". We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek. There are clean amenities, toilets and showers, as well as running water at the powered sites.

The Creek Flat is beautifully situated above the main creek. You can overlook the beached area and large water hole with amazing views of the mountain. This area provides great access for all vehicle and caravan sizes. Lower Flat
Perfect place for a short trip with our grandson. He loved feeding the animals, playing in the creek and having space to ride his bike. The property is beautifully maintained and the shower/toilet blocks are a bonus. This area is a favourite of ours and it never disappoints.

Lower Flat
We had a group stay at lower flat, was much bigger than anticipated, average of around 12-15m wide and over 100m long. Great access, nice creek, green grass and great amenities. Easy to deal with host and feeding the animals was a hit with not only the kids. Honestly, nothing I would change or improve.

This place is amazing! We spent 3 nights on Top flat 2 and were sad to leave. The kids loved all the animals. They’re so unique and it was really cool being able to feed them. The camp sites are huge and facilities were great - always clean and well kept. We’ll definitely be back!

Lower Flat
Loved the location. Everything at your fingertips. Booked lower flat. Would loved to have been placed close to the river where the kayaks were. We were on the high ground and could hear the noise through the night from the factory next door. Would come back again and camp in closer proximity to the river. Many thanks, Wendy

Love how much space we have at Yabba Ridge, second time camping on the Top Flat (perfect spot for sunrises AND sunsets). Great that there is power and water hook up for those who need it and that the showers are hot with great pressure- perfect after an upriver kayak. This time round was our Mums gone camping trip- all mums, no responsibilities except to do whatever we wanted when we wanted! It was great!

The Landing
We stayed at The Landing from Friday to Monday and had a really lovely time. Yabba Ridge is a beautiful farm with longhorn cattle, reindeer and ostriches, and the river is gorgeous. One of the highlights was kayaking at dawn through the mist and seeing platypuses in the river, which was pretty magical. It’s also super convenient, only a couple of minutes from Imbil, with an IGA, cafés and places to eat nearby. We loved sitting around the fire pit at night under the stars, and firewood was available for $20 a bag. The main downside was that The Landing isn’t quite as private as we expected, as other campsites sit above it on the embankment and look straight down onto the site. There was some fairly loud industrial noise on Saturday and Monday morning which we thought was coming from the timber yard on site. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful spot by the river with beautiful grounds and amenities. Something to note is the saw mill across the road does create some noise during the week which was a bit surprising early Monday morning however did quiet down and was barely noticeable throughout the rest of our stay. Luke was a great host and we’d happily recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with entertaining animals and pristine amenities.

Camping on the landing was absolute magic, it was a slice of heaven. A fire pit was supplied for us to use and we were also supplied with our own kayaks to use. The most amazing backdrop that photos will never do justice. Also… can’t not mention our camping neighbours; the ostriches, emu, deer, Guineafowls and pigs!

Just as other guests have all said, the campsites are huge. The showers and toilets are excellent. Plenty of animals to enjoy in the fenced area. Minutes to Imbil for any supplies if needed.. Nothing to fault, 100% happy.

I had a wonderful stay at The Gums at Yabba Ridge. It was such a peaceful and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and beautiful animals. I even got to see platypuses and spend some time patting some of the farm animals, which was a really special experience. The only downside was the sound of gunshots from a nearby shooting club. It was quite noticeable during the weekend and became particularly intense at times. Apart from that, everything about the stay was great, and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and being so close to nature.

Yabba Ridge was our first hipcamp experience and as fellow reviews state the experience was flawless and the hosts offer a fantastic range of sites to suit anyone's setup. Great clean amenities, firewood and animal feed available to purchase is a nice touch. Easy access to the creek, a couple of shared kayaks to use exploring the creek where a hit. Stayed last night at Yabba Ridge Hipcamp the landscape was picturesque on the creek with the free range farm animals. Plenty of space between camp sites, amenities kept tidy and owners were very attendant. We had an issue with power and messaged them to which they came straight away to help. Quiet peaceful campground close enough/quick drive to the Main Street with stores for supplies. Great stop on the road would highly recommend 😄
