Nature is calling. Set on 25 acres of natural bushland on the shores of Atkinsons Dam, our caravan park offers the perfect blend of outdoor adventure, relaxed and surrounding yourself with nature. Nestled beside a picturesque dam and surrounded by native trees, the property provides a peaceful escape where fresh air, open space, and the beauty of the bush are part of your stay. Guests can spend their days on the water—canoeing across the dam, casting a line in search of the next catch, or enjoying a variety of water sports right at their doorstep(we have our own private boat ramp). For those who prefer to stay on land, the expansive grounds offer plenty of space to explore, unwind, soak in the tranquil surroundings and if your lucky see a Koala in the wild. As the sun dips below the horizon, the atmosphere shifts to something truly special. Outdoor fires flicker to life, creating a warm and welcoming environment where stories are shared, meals are cooked under the stars, and the simple joy of being outdoors takes centre stage. Adding to the experience is the on-site café, a convenient and inviting hub where guests can grab a coffee, enjoy a relaxed meal, and connect with others. It’s the perfect complement to days spent exploring and evenings spent by the fire. This is more than just a caravan park—it’s a place where nature, adventure, and comfort come together, offering a genuine escape filled with fresh air, open skies, and unforgettable moments.

Welcome to Atkinson Edgewater, 25 acres of bushland with 20 large powered and tons of non-powered sites. We are currently updating and upgrading the whole park, so some old things are not available anymore, this includes O/N cabins, animals, and kayaks/canoe hire. we still have a cafe full of food, drinks, and essentials, a non-heated pool and firewood is back for sale again. The lake is full and available for all hobbies including swimming, fishing, and boating of both powered and paddle craft. During your stay you must bring your own tents, RV, motorhome, or caravan, your own 15amp (not 10amp) power lead. you may also bring any Bikes/E-bikes or Scooters/E-scooters but must not be powered by internal combustion engines. You may also bring any Push Bikes, canoes, boats, jetskis and fishing gear to enjoy all we have to offer onsite.

Took our nieces on their first camping trip here and its safe to say it wont be their last! They had so much fun with lots of space for them to play & run around. We didnt get to swim because it was too cold but the pool or dam on a warmer day would be splendid! Very spacious camp sites both powered & unpowered. Bathrooms were also spacious and toilets were nice and clean. They sell essentials in their Cafe which is awesome and overall we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant lakeside escape! We had an absolute ball at Atkinsons Edgewater. You can clearly see the new owners are getting stuck in and making massive improvements to the park. The powered sites are absolutely huge—plenty of room to spread out without feeling crammed in next to your neighbors. The caretakers were incredibly friendly and helpful (they even lent us a hand when we had a flat battery!). It's a great, safe spot for the kids to run around and escape the crazy city life, and being just a few steps from the water is unbeatable. We’ve already locked in our next trip!

New owners are getting stuck in and improving the park . Powered sites are huge , would fit a few vans and tents . Nice caretakers friendly and helpful. Lovely views of the lake and great wildlife , saw about 10 different birds . PET friendly Yes I recommend this camp .

New Owner super friendly and can clearly see he is making massive improvements. Right by the water, great amenities, spacious goats, chickens, ducks, little shop and a playground. What more could you ask for.great get away at a great location, with great people HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Had an awesome stay at edgewater! Facilities are coming along nicely, and the new team are brilliant. Nothing is ever too much to ask for they were happy to jump in and give us a hand when we had a flat battery. Kids had a ball running around and just being kids away from the crazy city life! Sites just a few steps from your camp site! New favourite spot! Locked in the for the next trip.
