My sister and I camped at Grey Gums in tents with our toddlers and teens! It was a beautiful spot, plenty of room for everyone to space out and still have room to play! The scenery is absolutely stunning! Theres a beautiful creek with amazing mountain views. With horses and Daisy the cow behind you! Dean was an absolutely gem, he entertained our little ones with feeding the chickens and turkey! Kaylea was so wonderful with our toddlers and walking them around for pony rides! They are amazing hosts, helped us with local spots to go and anything we needed! Yabba Creek Farm is an unbeatable hidden gem, was the perfect spot for our toddlers first camping trip, we will definitely be going back again!

My partner and I were very happy with Rangetop Farm Ocean View Qld. The camp site was clean and huge private space to set up for the night. The view was spectacular. Host Viola was easy to communicate with. We even had friendly horses and cows greet us through the night which we thought was very cool. We could take our dog, have a fire, all we could want in a camping experience.

Perfect place for a relaxing getaway. So peaceful and loved the horses wondering around. Norm met me at the entrance and showed me to my site, so friendly and always checked if everything was all good if he saw you around. Will definitely be back and hopefully soon.

Beautiful location. The drive there was so scenic, checking in was easy. Only thing to consider for tent campers is that the ground is not very levelled. If you have a caravan or rooftop tent then no issues. Other than that everything was amazing!

Brilliant and easy stay. We set up at the Windmill camp, but looking around you couldn't go wrong whichever camp you pick. Private and relaxing. Definitely recommend.

The spot was nice, very simple camping with a camp fire circle set out. must note this is NOT a private camp site with potentially very muddy sites and tracks especially in rain.

Weekend Trip to Riverdell

We had the most incredible visit to Riverdell. Even the rain just added some moodiness to the view. Stunning property that was the perfect place to enjoy with our toddler and doggo. If you’re physically able a wander down to the creek is definitely worth it! Quite a steep climb so pack some food to enjoy down there.

Amamoor Creek Camping n Caravanning

This camp is an easy seven minute drive from the Gympie Music Muster site. Get in early to set up camp at your choice of positions on a mostly flat paddock in the crook of huge private valley. 4WD is not totally necessary but may be advantageous in wet weather or to those wanting to get off the beaten track. With creek frontage, shade trees overhead and ranging hills behind, at this camp site you will be sure to catch sight of many birds, wallabies, and other wildlife. Bring your camera! There is a porta loo (and coming soon, a hot shower) on site, we will hire more if bookings are thick but if you are self contained that is awesome! We have a few fire pits and rings available. Exploring the area is a must. You have the creek right here and the forest, nearby are National Parks with marked trails, more creeks to swim in and wildlife to observe. Bunya Farm Produce is open on Saturday mornings for a taste of the best offerings around and Amamoor markets greet the steam train every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday morning. There are many farm-gate suppliers in the region for you try our fresh produce. Kybong has "Hell Town Hotrods" as you imagine, this place is an Alladin's Cave for those into anything vintage, retro, car or petrol.... complete with a workshop for custom hotrod rebuilds. There is a neat cafe and bar on site too. Gympie is close by with the Heritage Museum, featuring the history of gold mining and industries of the area. You can learn how to pan for gold there then come back and practice in the creek. Art enthusiasts should drop in for morning tea at Chai Chai, and see what’s on exhibition at The ART POST then Gympie Region Art Gallery - both venues offer high quality exhibits and sale of artworks by our local artists. SoMa SoMa is where to go for awesome breakfast, brunches or lunches with delicious coffee, shakes and fresh juices also, open from 6:30am 7 days a week. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford ShowgroundsWe provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. There is lots of space for the kids to run or take the dog for a walk on the lead. If you are organising a celebration (eg wedding/birthday) please send an enquiry first so we can discuss your needs. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. (We live onsite) please also note we abide by noise restrictions and we do not allow amplified music and noise needs to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We will allow up to 120 people onsite cost $7500. These prices include early entry Friday from 10am and late departure Sunday by 4pm. Extra accommodation available at extra cost. Please do not follow hipcamp directions as they can take you into state forest. Please use Cove Road or Old Cove road as a pin then work off the address after confirmation from these spots. We have a great supply of locally sourced firewood, $20 per bag 20kg-25kg and we strongly discourage wood brought on from other areas due to biosecurity concerns. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. STRICTLY NO DRONES ALLOWED ALSO WE DO NOT ALLOW DRIVING AROUND CAMPSITES OR PROPERTY Once your camp is set up you can park your vehicle at your site. You are welcome to drive out of the campsite to town and back but strictly no joyriding around our property. We are surrounded in heavy bushland, yes we have TICKS, SPIDERS, SNAKES all creatures great and small 😊. The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with beautiful dried flowers, natural bath salts charged at $60 per use. We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water. Connection of power and water is an option for extra. Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:) Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Once you’ve visited the region’s top attractions—Maleny Botanic Gardens, Bird World, and Australia Zoo are all must-dos—you can head out to hike in Maleny Forest Reserve and Kondalilla National Park, enjoy views of the Glass House Mountains, and cool off at Gardners Falls. This hinterland hub also has plenty of options for campers, too. Check into a caravan park or take your pick of Hipcamps, including rural cottages, farmstays, and glamping tents.

Glass House Mountains

South of Maleny, the misty peaks of the Glass House Mountains provide dreamy vistas for hikers and campers, surrounded by forested foothills. Snag a Hipcamp near the Glass House Mountains National Park or Beerburrum State Forest and explore miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. Alternatively, the camping area at Beerwah State Forest has motorhome and caravan sites, and there’s bush camping at D’Aguilar National Park.

Sunshine Coast

An about 30-minute drive from Maleny, the Sunshine Coast is one of Queensland’s flagship beach destinations, home to white-sand beaches, world-class surf spots, and lively seaside towns. Choose a holiday park or caravan park within walking distance of the beach around Caloundra, Mooloolaba, or Noosa, or head to Great Sandy National Park, where the 24 camping areas have beachside and riverside campsites suitable for campervans, camper trailers, or tents.

Hinterlands

Maleny is the ideal basecamp for exploring the Sunshine Coast hinterlands, hopping between market towns like Kenilworth, Gympie, and Montville.
