Granite Cascades

Such an amazing place. From the granite rocks, rock pools, flowing river, and the orchids, Di’s property is simply stunning! My partner and I stayed at the property for our anniversary, and it rained all weekend; however, the property was so lovely with dense bush land, it brought out all the wildlife and bird life. Di was a wonderful host and a great wealth of bush knowledge!

Loved camping at Bush Tucker. Lots of privacy and space. Flat ground made for easy set up. Heaps of places to explore along the creek, through the bush, and wildlife to spot. Wandered into Crystal Waters for the Sunday market which was great to check out too. Enough space for riding bikes and games. Super relaxing. No phone reception at all but that was nice to take a break from screens and work.

Lots are big and spacious, enough room for a family or a couple of families on the same lot. Stunning creek with rock pools on the other side of the tree-line right behind your camp. Serene and quiet. Lots of shade. Really good spot to camp for a couple of nights.

Incredible spot with mature bush tucker trees providing shade and the opportunity to make delicious tea! The adjacent creek was wonderful for splashing around and provided a soothing soundtrack for our stay. Di is clearly passionate about her land and was extremely generous in sharing her knowledge. We would love to return with extended family.

Epic spot, we had a great stay! The creek is amazing, the campsite was well maintained and very peaceful with the sound of the running water in the background. Di provided clear directions and was great with updates leading up to our stay.

Hidden gem! Good combination of seclusive camp and light off road fun with a running creek at the back. Had a nice chat with the host when she checked if I was ok. Very friendly. Will come back as there are a lot more to explore there.

Beautiful spot. Owner is lovely. Directions provided were accurate. Don't let the GPS take you down the 'Postman's Track' if you are towing. The road is unbelievably steep. Truly a stunning slice of nature. Looking forward to visiting again!

We had a lovely stay at Di's. We camped in the bush tucker area which, in my opinion, is the best spot. So privacy, what and right near the pristine creek. Well happily come back again and hopefully swim in the creek.

The property is so beautiful! The creek has to be one of the prettiest creeks I’ve seen in south east Queensland. I camped with my 3 sons and they didn’t want to leave the creek accept to eat or tend to the fire. The big flat area for camping was a win too for kicking the footy. Di is super friendly and is really knowledgeable with the bush tucker and wildlife on her property. I’ll definitely be back.

We had an amazing 2 nights at this beautiful spot. Di was lovely and very accommodating, even providing some fresh locally grown fruit. Our camp was very well kept and was nice and close to a flowing creek that was the perfect way to cool off during the day. There is plenty of shade so no need to use sunscreen. It was the perfect place to disconnect, look at the stars, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. We’ll definitely go again.

We stayed for 2 nights in February 2025 at "Bush Tucker Orchard". Dianne's property is an amazing find in the often hit and miss world of private camping spots. Nestled in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it feels extremely remote, which is exactly what we're after. There's not a hint of mobile reception out here, and why would you want it anyway when there's so much to explore at Granite Cascades? Di met us on arrival and was very welcoming, showing us around our magnificent campsite. Our campsite, tucked away amongst towering native trees, offered a wonderful backdrop for our modest camping setup. The fire pit at our site was perfectly positioned for stargazing. I look forward to doing the guided walk next time to find out what other magical spots this property has to offer. Our campsite was completely separate from the main area, and while a premium camping experience, the unparalleled privacy and breathtaking location made it worth every cent. You just can't find this level of privacy and space in such an impeccably beautiful location. The creek that runs through the middle of the property is an absolutely beautiful area, and you can explore this for hours. The sound of the water lulled us to sleep each night. Just watch out for the massive spiders under the rocks! We'll be back and would love to make it a regular trip every few months to see the differences the seasons make in this stunning location. Dianne's property was magic. Quiet and secluded with little crystal clear pools to soak in with enough space to share between the 4 camps. Stargazing at night was amazing and Dianne herself was super helpful with knowledge on local points of interest, a property map with the best swimming spots highlighted and also when family needed to contact me via her provided number. Only point to note, there are 2 creek crossings with steep access to enter the property so I recommend high clearance on your vehicle.

The site was ok although there was no indication that it would be shared, the directions were also ok however when we did arrive we were told we were in the wrong area but with no signs or numbers to go by how are we supposed to know, the host was not rude but not welcoming either and offered a brief run down of procedures then left adding that she won't be seeing us again, if you're going to advertise that your a green site why did we have to camp nearby a burnt out bus that is an eye sore, old piles of roofing iron and an old truck axle on the camp site, the river was beutiful and we were happy to have enjoyed it but the experience was a thumbs down, we booked for 3 nights and stayed one.

This was our second trip to Bush Tucker Orchard. It is one of our most favourite camping destinations. It's quiet, picturesque, and even in the heat of summer, there is plenty of shade and many Rock Pools in the adjacent creek to cool off in. I suspect the lack of mobile phone coverage may deter some, but it's one of the things that attracts us. No mobile phone, no internet, no email, no Facebook, no worries ;-)
