We booked this site primarily for privacy and to get away from the burbs. Unfortunately, two things worked against us. The site is actually quite near a main road and the road noise was worse than at home, so we never really felt like we succeeded in getting away.
Prospective campers should also be aware that there are a number of cameras on the property overlooking the camping area. For me that's a deal breaker. I wouldn't accept it in my hotel room, and given the cost of a stay, I wouldn't expect it here either. And again, it takes away from the sense that one is getting away from things for a while.
One neighbour is fairly quite close to the site, but we didn't hear or see them during our stay.
That said, we managed to make the most of it and enjoyed our stay. The goats are a definite plus (very friendly and super cute), and we had a nice paddle on the river. The actual camp site is quite nice and easy to setup on. Lachlan was great at communicating and although the profile says he might be on the property, on this occasion we were alone and enjoyed having the property to ourselves.
I think this it a case of "not quite right for us bit could be perfect for you". Particularly if you have children or a larger party, and aren't concerned about the factors that were negative for us, then it is a lovely place.

This was our first time camping away with our group of 8 friends & 5 kids so was expecting it to go either really great, or not so much. Happy to say it was a success! Initially driving in you think there won’t be a huge amount of privacy since you are camping in someone’s backyard however the space is great, with lots of trees and big enough that you feel like you have privacy, and we kind of forgot that Lachlan was even there since he only popped out if we needed him. The location of this campsite is great - 20 mins from Maleny & 20 mins from Kenilworth and super hand my having the corner store close by to grab some early morning coffees since the mornings were very chilly! We took the kayaks up the river to some great little rock pools & rapids! Was definitely a highlight. The kids had an absolute blast running around the land & being able to say hello to the goats (and baby goats) were an extra highlight for them. Also, the downstairs area of the house (toilet, power points, sink, ping pong table and fridge) were extremely handy! Would recommend to family & friends for sure.

Our group had a great stay. Handy having a fridge on site and we made good use of the pingpong table. There was some traffic noise from the nearby roads however was still relatively peaceful.

It was a lovely spot very prívate and clean, our family and dogs had relaxed and amazing time, toilet tidy and clean. Kayaks were a kool cherry on top the cake we had an awesome time in the river

This is the perfect place if you want a private spot for a group of people to have a good time without the need to worry about accessibility and toileting for and non or less experienced campers.

Staying at this campsite was by far our best camping experience! The location was perfect, offering the river, lush grass, a farm, and plenty of shade from the trees all in one place. As a large group, we had great privacy, allowing us to have fun without disturbing others. The bathroom was clean, and some of us enjoyed playing on the ping pong table. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Nice setting overlooking the Mary River. Lots of space. You are camping in someone’s back yard but it does feel reasonably private.

We stayed at this site from Friday - Sunday and had the best time celebrating my birthday! I would highly recommend using this site. The water was so needed when the weather was humid and hot just to cool off. Utilised the kayaks which were so much fun! We set up decks and played some music having a little mini doof - Lachie was so nice and accomodating! A lil tip - Bring ear plugs for the birds, very chatty! But overall had the best time :) go go go! Thanks heaps Lachie!

Absolutely loved our little weekend get away here! Lachlan and Jordan make the process extremely easy. Loved the available kayaks and ping pong table to pass the time if needed. Will definitely be coming back again!!!

A great little campsite very close to the Mary river thats flat and shaded. Only a short walk and the river bank where you will find Kayaks and the peaceful River to have a refreshing swim. The campsite is high above the river so the views from the site are perfect. We saw a Wallaby and an Azure Kingfisher. Its was nice to be able to use the facilities at the house which is not far away from site but far enough to feel you have your privacy. There are a few spot worth visiting in the area such as the town of Maleny and Booloomba Creek. Lachlan was an excellent host with great communitcation and ensured we had all we needed. Thanks so much Lachlan we had a wonderful time and highly recommend

Lachlan is a 10 star host!!
The campsite was absolutely beautiful with everything we could have asked for for a little get away! Wish I could have stayed longer.
But I highly recommend if you’re wanting to get back to nature and enjoy a space that has pretty much everything you could ask for.. pitched @ Palamino is the place.
