The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched.
The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks.
You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles.
Access is 4WD or AWD only.
In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather.
Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.

Our farm is 160ac with the beautiful Mary river along the boundary, perfect for fishing and camping! Fire pits are at all sites and camp fires are to be kept to the fire pits supplied only. There is plenty of dead wood and debris for fires, we have firewood available for you to buy so you don’t have to pack it as well.
No burning of any rubbish, especially cans and glass.
IMPORTANT please note, we do NOT have amenities or drinking water. You need to be self sufficient and bring your own shower/toilet, and take with you ALL waste.
The road to the campsite currently is only grass, when dry it is 2WD accessible, but 4WD is best.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times and must be cleaned up after. As we are a working dairy we are happy to trial having dogs here.

With very limited camping spaces, we offer privacy, horse yards, hitching rails, a seasonal creek with swimming holes and toilets. Arena, round yard on property and off property trail riding is available at your leisure. There is spring fed dam if you wish to have a dip with your horse right on your camp sites.
If you ask us how to ride to the pub or a donut, we are happy to direct you! (We like to ride to the pub for a beer!). GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected).
To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you.
There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing.
Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest.
We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. This drive is extremely difficult to get up with a float.

To keep the area pristine, fires must be in allocated pits. You must bring your own wood or purchase some from us in advance and we will have it ready for you on arrival.
Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited.
For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property.
As there are no on-site toilets, kindly bring your own camp toilet and ensure proper waste removal. You will find a free dump point at Eumundi RV stop over on Napier road or in Kenilworth at the Showgrounds.

Messy campers will be reported to Hipcamp. Under no circumstances place any rubbish in any of the rubbish bins along Reeves Road as our neighbours are very unappreciative of this.
All this is just 5 minutes from Imbil and Kandanga where you can find everything you need for a great camping trip.

The Creek is home to an array of wildlife. Platypus are seen daily, plenty of bird life and a variety of fish and turtles. Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year.
The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge".
We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close.

Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports.

The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched.
The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks.
You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles.

If you ask us how to ride to the pub or a donut, we are happy to direct you! (We like to ride to the pub for a beer!). GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected).
To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you.
There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing.
Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest.
We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. This drive is extremely difficult to get up with a float.

Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited.
For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property.

Luke, Arna and the Family would like to welcome you to Yabba Ridge Farm.
We own 35 beautiful acres along the banks of Yabba Creek. 3 minutes out of Imbil village, 12 minutes to Borumba Dam and surrounded by State Forests.
We offer 4 sites, both powered and non-powered sites.
Nestled along the banks of a pristine section of the Yabba Creek, there are large swimming holes for all water activities and shallow rapids great for the kids to play in.
The Creek is home to an array of wildlife. Platypus are seen daily, plenty of bird life and a variety of fish and turtles. Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year.
The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge".
We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close.
With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek.
There are clean amenities, toilets and showers, as well as running water at the powered sites.

Stirling’s Crossing is situated in the Mary Valley on a lush 150 acre Equestrian property, which is bordered by the Yabba Creek and the Imbil State Forest.
Our spacious level sites are surrounded by lush paddocks and beautiful scenery.
Large drive-thru sites perfect for buses and big rigs, there’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful farm setting.
Guests can also bring their horses to Stirlings Crossing as Imbil State forest is perfect for horse back trail riding.
Horse yards can be set up on request.
The Tom Quilty has been held here twice before and will be held here again in 2026.
Other endurance events are also held here during the year.
There is an extra $10 charge per horse per night.
Unfortunately there are no horses available here to hire.
It is just over 100km north of Brisbane. The town of Imbil is only 6km away and has a recently opened IGA with all the supplies you need. There is also a bakery, 2 coffee shops, a pub with great meals, and a well equipped petrol station.
There are markets every Sunday in the Main Street.
Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports.
The property has a large modern ammenities block.

There are limited powered sites available on request.
There is access to the Yabba Creek for kayaking, swimming and fishing.
You can also access the Imbil State forest either by 4wd, trail bike or mountain bike.
Pets are welcome but must be on a lead as there are horses in paddocks on the property.
This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex.
It is also requested for guests to please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it.

Restful Ridges is a 100 acre property with expansive views over the Kenilworth Valley and town ship in the distance. It is 400 meters above see level and is across the road from Mapleton National Park, providing direct access to walking trails that are part of the Sunshine Coast Great Walk.
The property has some docile cattle that wonder over the property and keep the grass down.
The property is located just 1.5 hours from Brisbane. The town of Mapleton is an 10 minute drive, where you can access shops and restaurants.

What a great camping spot. We were in Site 4. 5min walk into town for those famous donuts and cheese factory. 2min walk to the beautiful Mary River. HEAPS of space for kids to kick the footy and fornour small group to spread out. Huge fit pit as well. Grounds were beautifully mowed with lovely trees on the boundary to shade the area. We will be back for sure. Thanks Shane!

We spent 5 nights here and it was a great relaxing site, we were on site 4. Heaps of room, the shelter area was brilliant.
John and Sharon were great hosts, really nice people and made sure you felt welcome and were good for a chat.
There was a small walk bridge over the creek getting built while we were there which looked a great improvement.
Definitely added this place to our list of places to return to.

Highly recommend staying at Yabba Ridge, set in the beautiful Imbil region.
This property is great and has a vast range of animals including Ostriches, Watusi Longhorn cattle, pigs, chooks etc etc.
The property is beautifully maintained and the amenities are excellent.
There are only 6 sites and they are huge, overlooking Yabba Creek and pet friendly.
The best site for your van is Flat Top Campsite 1. Has power and water if required.
There is plenty to explore as the farm is 5mins to Imbil, 20mins to Kenilworth, 10mins to Lake Borumba, 30-40 mins to Gympie and 1 hour to Noosa.
It’s a credit to the hosts Arna and Luke.

Camped on the Lower Flats with friends. Plenty of space for multiple tents. Very close to amenities and has a firepit on site with firewood readily available to purchase. Sun is pretty intense in mornings but during midday and afternoons many parts are in shade.
Hot showers and clean toilets is a huge plus for families and the township of Imbil has lots of great shops and food available.

This place is amazing! Camped at Grey Gums, the site was lovely and spacious and so well thought out, with a bush shower (cold) and access to town water… this is unheard of in a setting like this and we greatly appreciated it. Kaylea was an amazing host, answering all my questions and very very responsive and friendly. The kayaks were great fun and we loved exploring up and down the creek. Plenty of space between sites and we honestly can’t wait to come back again. It was a great way to see in my 50th birthday! Thank you to Kaylea and family for sharing your beautiful property!

Stayed here recently for a night away with my son and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better setup. The site was well maintained, peaceful, and had everything we needed without losing that “get away from it all” feel. It was the perfect spot to slow down, spend some quality time together, and just enjoy being outdoors. Lucas was friendly and easy to deal with. Would happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.
