Bamboozle
Camped at Bamboozle. Site was flat with central fire place. We had lots of rain one night but it ran away from this spot quite quickly. Friendly host Glen introduced once we set up leaving us to enjoy the camp. Will rebook this spot in future camps.

Such a pretty spot with lovely views and fire areas! Unfortunately we were there during a very wet week. We opted to camp up the top at Bamboozle area, as the drive down to the rivers edge was slippery and daunting with our big rig. Thank god we did, as my mums 2wd needed towing out!!

Such a beautiful, peaceful spot by the river with plenty of room and limited camp sites. Even over the Easter weekend it was quiet and secluded!
We couldn’t access the water due to the erosion from recent flooding, but it was close enough to many other swimming spots and just the sound of the running water added to the calming atmosphere.

Great quiet spot right beside the Mary River. Loved the shade of the trees, the spacious site and the fireplace made the perfect spot for happy hour and family charades! Definitely recommend this spot for an off-grid break away.

Peace and tranquility on your doorstep. Arrived with ease thanks to the excellent map and information provided by Glen. We were then left alone, and this beautiful place was ours to enjoy, with no long chats with the owners. This I really enjoyed! Access to the Mary River was so easy and the views above the river at our campsite were amazing. A paddle in the water and a swim for the dog was just what we needed. Wood for the fire pit was provided and the stump seating area under the trees to enjoy the fire was amazing. Yes, you can hear the works of the quarry in the very distant background, but hey…that makes the roads we drive on 🤷🏻♀️. We will definitely be back to enjoy this pet friendly camp ground and feel very special to have the use of someone else’s Eden.

We had a nice stay at Dragonfly Cottage Off-Grid Getaway. The location is peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by nature. It’s close to the Mary River for a swim or paddle, and Kenilworth is just a short drive away if you need supplies.
The cabin is cozy and well-equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms were a nice surprise—more luxurious than you might expect from the rustic exterior.
If you're after a quiet retreat, this is a good spot to switch off and unwind.

Another awesome stay - the river is perfect for a swim and pecan palace is a perfect spot to camp with dogs - and finally a place off lead! Close to Kenilworth for donuts in the morning. Will definitely return!

Pecan Palace
We stayed at the Pecan Palace campsite with some friends and loved the space! Campground was really spacious and well shaded throughout the day and had great access to the river which we loved. We will be back one day!

We didn't end up camping as my partner ended up getting a wisdom tooth removed instead.
Plus there ended up being torrential rain for most of the weekend.
We did go up and check out the camp-site and we are looking forward to camping there in the future.
Despite the torrential rain it was not boggy.
Riverview perfect for couple or small group. Pecan Place is really private and great for a big group. Bamboozle good if you want room for kids.

What an amazing campsite! The property was gorgeous, the sites well spaced out and immaculate. You can tell Glen really takes care of the place. There are fire pits and stumps to sit on and signs marking the sites. The creek was also great for a swim. We'll be back!

Dragonfly Cottage off-grid Getaway
The cottage was so lovely - well equipped and relaxing; the outdoor bath and bathroom were a bonus; the little touches like a music play list and coffee/coffee pot, and herbs for cooking. It made a quiet getaway easy. Kenilworth was close by for coffee and donuts which came in handy with our teen boys camping nearby. This was our first Hipcamp experience and we loved it.

Lovely spot looking over the river (with access for kayaks, etc.). Glen was great to deal with and set us up with good site. Majority of the sites have nice shade with well set up firepits, but still plenty of space to manouvre.

Was spacious and quiet, good sized fire place and firewood. Every site is close to the water and it’s ideal for cooling off, especially with the pups and some beers. Will be back 👍🏽
