We loved it here. So peaceful and private.
The only thing to note is there is a small bridge crossing and if you don’t have a lot of experience towing then it is daunting.

Really enjoyed our stay at Wash Creek. It's a wonderful, peaceful grove with a creek bubbling past. A tranquil camp site that feels far removed from the city, yet close enough to get to easily.

Wash Creek Campsite
I really enjoyed staying at the wash creek site.
The sound of the running creek and the wildlife was just great. A beautiful part of the Sunny Coast hinterland. I also liked the fact that this site is private and there were no other campers around.

Lovely little camp spot, tucked away with the creek bending around the site. Perfect amount of water in the creek while i was there, could see it & hear it. Trees JUST made it private enough from the 2 close houses. Tim was lovely, dropped off a large bag of firewood for me for $20. Didnt meet the hosts. If you stay in a caravan please make sure you dont dig up the ground when you leave. Lovely spot, would stay again. Looks like a perfect spot for platypus, but didnt see any 🙁 next time!

Really loved it here, beautiful views and great Vibes! We loved the hike with kids. Site was big and gave us heaps of options setting up around the creek!

Black Lagoon
We really enjoyed our trip to black lagoon at Stanlyn Park.
Plenty of room for the dogs to run and swim. We enjoyed the walk around the property and can recommend the effort of walking to the Christmas creek swimming hole.
If I had to give a negative it would be that the site has a bit of a slope to it, but nothing you can't make work

Camping at Black Lagoon is a surreal and gorgeous experience. They've levelled the land graciously to host yourself and others with ease but the surrounds are still wild and full of abundant nature.
The lagoon is indeed very very black.

Nice campsite. Could see other campers but didn’t bother us.
We picked a very wet long weekend (as usual) so that seemed to bring out a lot of leeches.
We had a nice break albeit wet. Didn’t see the host but he gave us a wave. Thanks for letting is stay.

Beautiful place with friendly cows roaming through, cockatoos and wildlife around, and gorgeous views. If you’re self contained and looking for a back to nature spot, this is a good one.

A beautiful little area right on the edge of a small creek, with plenty of birdlife. A very well-maintained, mown grass area—consistent across all campsites. The nearest campsite was at least 100 metres away, so it definitely didn’t feel crammed in. Fire pit bins were provided, and the bags of dry hardwood available for purchase were generous in size.
We were able to easily get our 19'6" off-road van into the site, although much larger vans may find access a little tricky.
We’ll be back.

The setting next to the stream is beautiful, secluded and beautiful. Stan was very helpful on arrival and then left us to ourselves to enjoy the peace and quiet. The sound of birds, babbling water and comical frogs was delightful. Though so forested, it is only 20 minutes from Maleny. We'll be back for sure.

We loved our experience at Stanlyn Park. We camped at the Wash Creek site. It was perfect for our extended group with several vehicles. Great for the kids with the shallow, running creek running down one side of the site. Quiet and protected with heaps of space. The park itself has plenty of walking trails and beautiful areas to explore, swim, and kayak. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave! We will be back!

We loved it. Missing piece of paradise. Absolutely amazing place to camp. If you are after no water, power or toilet this is a great option. If you want any of the above 3 pick somewhere else. Loved our stay!! Thankyou

Platypus Gorge
A lovely shady area with a small creek weaving around it. There looks to be 3 campsites about 30 - 40 metres apart. I slept to the sound of crickets on one side and the babbling creek on the other. Very peacefull.

Wash Creek Campsite
We loved the privacy of this campground. Beautiful paddock with trees surrounding and a running creek. We spent our time relaxing, watching the resident wildlife, including an azure kingfisher. . The campsite was shady, clean and big enough for a small group, if wished. 15 minutes up to Maleny.

Its a lovely place too camp but we where a little disappointed, firewood arrived late in the day, camper site was not maintained well, grass was long so it was good a decided too take my whipper snipper, rubbish left in the fire pit from previous campers im guessing. At just after 6 am the 2nd morning there, someone at the white house up early whipper snipping and on the ride on mower. Not much water in the creek and there where leaches in the water what was there. We where there for 4 days, tried too find some walking tracks but more or less had too make our own. Aside from them issues, its still a lovely spot and it was peaceful at times, this place has good potential, but we probably won't go back again.

A well maintained little patch near a creek on your own. There are neighbours nearby but you can't see them. An absolutely beautiful drive in, what a magic part of the world!
