The setup was just perfect. Amenities were very clean, friendly reception. The site was exclusive to us which was a nice surprise. It was lovely to have a fire nearby and watch the stars. We will definitely seek this site out again for future stays.

Beautiful property with immaculately clean amenities. The kitchen has everything you need, and the fire pit is well located beside the space. We heard two owl species and gliders calling at night, lots of wildlife about. Great hosts and highly recommend.

I spent two lovely nights at peaceful retreat !
The place is very comfortable and felt like home. Kangourous came to say hi on the morning !
Maria and her husband were very kind and took the time to explain how the place works.

What a fantatic place to getaway and unwind. The setting is tranquil, with local roos & wildlife in abundance. You have all the amenities you need (kitchenette, bathroom & even a washer/dryer) and you can camp under cover for those rainy days. I loved the personal touches by host Maria, and you get to have the whole place to yourself. Perfect also for small groups. Noosa is close by and so is the quant township of Pomona. A visit to Lake Cootharaba (Elanda & Boreen Point) should also be on your list. I will definitely be back :-)

Such a lovely peaceful spot. Facilities were fabulous. Everything we needed...and things we didn't know we needed, like a bath! Beautiful wildlife, birds, kangaroos 🌳Camping done right ✅️

Beautiful spot surrounded by trees. The facilities were great and it was a bonus we could park our van under shelter so it didn’t get too hot. We enjoyed the fire pit, being able have a bath and being able to use the kitchen. Such a great setup.

This is a real gem. We loved the ability to pack light and lean into the convenience of a full kitchen, laundry and bathroom facilities as well as undercover protection given the storm season. It’s super close to Lake Cootharaba for fishing and kayaking, and 30 mins to bush walks at Noosa. Wonderful place and host.

mention the small dining table!
Amazing bathroom with a view! So is the odourless composting toilet!
Peaceful site as the name suggests.
Very accomodating and helpful hosts. Thank you Maria.

Had a great stay at Maria’s hinterland retreat! They were very welcoming and friendly hosts. The site was perfect had all the possible facilities required. Perfect for a small group of campers!

We had a fantastic stay at Peaceful Retreats. Excellent facilities including a huge and spotlessly clean bathroom, and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. Maria and Neil are so welcoming, and responsive to queries. Spotting the Kangaroo was a highlight!

Maria and Neil are truly extraordinary human beings — warm, welcoming, and incredibly considerate.
The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are immaculately clean. We’ve used compostable toilets many times before, but this is the only place we’ve experienced where it was completely odour-free and spotless!
The site itself is spacious and wonderfully quiet, surrounded by trees. The natural white noise of cicadas making the whole stay relaxing and peaceful.
25 mins drive to Noosa, yet feels like a world away. We wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning amenities. Truly is a peaceful retreat with everything you could need. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with utensils for cooking as well as having access to a washer and dryer. Scenery and surrounds are stunning (with a kangaroo and joey appearing a few times during our stay), you feel like you're in a stunning forest retreat in the middle of no where but you're only a 20 minute drive from woolworths etc

Pure tranquility only a short drive from Noosa. Exquisitely well appointed kitchen and bathroom, and the civility of a giant awning to set your tent up under if it’s raining or you just want a little more shade. Fabulous!

We had a great 3-night stay here. Everything is included, just bring whatever you need to sleep in - swag, tent, camper trailer or caravan. Plenty of chairs and table space for drinks and meals, spacious bathroom with separate composting toilet. Close to bigger towns (Noosa, Gympie) but far enough away to be, as per the name, a peaceful retreat. Thanks, Maria and Neil!

Great spot with excellent amenities! Bathroom was fantastic and spotless. The composting toilet was the cleanest and best smelling one we’ve ever encountered! They even had firewood available to purchase and collected twigs for kindling for us. We were a couple of families with toddlers, so the large fridge and kitchen were really handy.

The perfect peaceful retreat you could ask for! Everything was clean and every detail you could ask for. The property has so much room and is private from the main house. Nice hot shower and toilet and kitchen with everything needed. Fairy lights, wildlife and a beautiful place for a fire at night. Will definitely be back! Thank you Maria and Neil!
