Good stop along the way if Barcaldine parks are full. Be careful if out on any of the clay sites as after a little rain, it was tricky getting out. Shearing shed sites safe enough

Coolibah Waterhole in Strip Paddock
A great peaceful camp, loved having our own space. So quiet. Lovely spot to share with friends.
Only tiny issue is the clay under foot if it’s a bit wet, it sticks to your shoes. Didn’t worry us, we got it off.
Directions in were great, may be a little tricky in the dark.

Loved all of the wildlife and birds galore. The hot tubs were great and the firewood was gidgee so didn't take much for a hot, slow burning low smoke fire. David was great at getting on the phone to help with trouble shooting for the hot tub too. Not far from Barcaldine so would be a great place to explore from.

We loved camping at Billy Goat, very private camping with beautiful drinking water available. A highlight is a private hot bath heated by a fire, need to start your fire about ½ an hour before you add cold water. Ensure someone have turned the pump on for fresh water to flow , Add the hose to the bottom of the bath near the black outlet hose that flows through coil around the fire, you will have hot water come out the top hose be careful it can be boiling. The water will keep circulating and get hotter while you have a large fire inside the coils leave until you’re ready to get in. If you don’t want it any hotter remove some of the hot coals from the fire for safety. Enjoy the tranquility of your own private acreage with fantastic sunsets

Camped in our motorhome at the Woolshed. Amazing spot, total privacy. Enjoyed a bath 🛁 and a campfire 🔥. One of the most relaxing nights we’ve ever had . Unique experience. Thank you .

Better information regarding the Artesian Hot tub. As it did not mention on the website that you had to light a fire to warm up the metal tub. As we have previous stayed at Dunblane ‘McBrides bore’ we were disappointed in the fact there was no information regarding the hot tub. Had we known that we would not have booked it.

One of our favourite places to unwind. You get a quiet private space, your own padlock to explore with either sheep, cows or goats watching you. Some spots have artesian water available for a hot bath, just so relaxing. Fantastic host is there if you need help or information.

What a great spot, out on a pastoral property and for those that can’t cope with too remote only a little out of town. Totally recommend doing All Fives tour add on. Gretel Camo has plenty of space and fantastic sunset views.

Was amazing staying at McBrides Flowing bore. Camp fire under the stars. Had trouble with the water flow for the tub but David was amazing and helpful. Definitely would come back.

Ever since we saw Dunblane Sheep Station featured on The Feelgood Family YouTube channel, it’s been on our list—and it absolutely lived up to the hype!
The directions were spot on, making it super easy to find after our long drive from Rockhampton. The campsite was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed to unwind.
The kids loved seeing all the sheep up close, and spotting a pair of emus wandering the property was a real bonus. But the standout for us was definitely the hot tub under the windmill—what a unique and relaxing way to end the day.
Our hosts were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back—this is one stopover we’ll remember for all the right reasons!

Westbourne Shearing Shed
We spent 2 nights .
There was no shearing so very quiet about 150 meters from the hwy could hear road trains but not to bad . There are 3 tubs where you could fill with warm boar water and watch the stars. There’s power and water for your caravan via the shearing shed also toilet and shower for you to use .We paid an extra $20 and got fire would already delivered which added to a good experience . I would recommend staying here and would again

Such a great place to stop for the night. Really easy to find, amazing sunset and night sky. Hot water in the tub was a great experience. Would totally come back again and highly recommend!

Second time camping at the wool shed - great little spot and plenty of foraged fire wood. The baths are why we go there - nice hot soak under the stars! Wouldn’t hurt David to clean the loo tho !

Amazing! This is our favourite stay so far. Great facilities, incredible views of the stars and the most incredible sunsets. We just wish we had of stayed longer. David was so friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favour and stay here! 10/5 stars!!!!!!!

Overall it was a great site, except the tub was filthy so we didn't use it.
The property was private and the host left us with plenty of firewood.... although, it could have been cut into smaller pieces to fit in the fire pit. The directions to the camp were spot on and I loved having the company of cows, sheep and birds.

We had a great stay camped beside a shearing shed and watching an awesome sunset from our artesian springwater tubs. Finished the night with a campfire provided. A hot shower, toilet and power provided. A lovely night in the bush.

We actually stayed at Billy Goats, not McBride's- my fault. Although we didn't have warm artesian water, we had a tub, water, and a fancy, fire requiring heating system that produced a magnificent hot tub at sunset. With emus, Goats, galahs brolgas and a sky full of stars for company, the night was perfect.

Mcbrides Flowing Bore is a gem. We loved being able to have a hot artesian bath and the quality of the fire wood was the best I have ever burnt. We will be talking about this camp for years to come and will be booking in again in the future.

David actually moved us to the Woolshed because it had rained a bit on the access roads. We absolutely adored it there. We had a couple of hot bore baths. We had the longest campfire ever from about 4:30pm til 2am. Sorry David for using a lot of fire wood. We walked around and explored the shearing shed. David’s notes were very comprehensive and he always kept in contact with us because of the iffy weather. Something that may be assistance to others is that we found a length of loose hose under the bath tubs that you can use to siphon off the initial cold water if you want to top up the bath with hot water when it cools down and those bath tubs are perfectly positioned to take in the sunset so do yourselves a favour and get out there!
