Good chance for YABBIES so get the pots out and in the water. Excellent private camp just off Landsborough highway 8km west of Barcaldine offering 240v power, fire ring and firewood, free water, HOT TUB (suits 2 adults or a whole tribe of kids), a long drop loo and privacy from the maddening camp. Whilst few trees means little shade during the day, the lack of trees in campsite allows for the best star gazing and watching the sunset from the hot tub. An all-weather road in means no issues if it rains.

Absolutely loved our 1 night stop over. Loads of animals to look at for our little one (sheep, emu & kangaroos), bush bath as the sunset was epic. Great private spot, total silence and 10/10 stargazing! Even has power if you need to top up.

Big skies and thermal spring hot tub! Wow! A fabulous place to stop after a dusty dry desert trip. Absolute peace and privacy with a rustic tub setup and camp next to a waterhole. Be sure to fill the tub when you arrive as the water is hot! A few trains and trucks in the distance overnight but not a problem at all. Amazing birds, frogs and friendly sheep, with stunning outback skies. 5 stars. 👌

Westbourne Shearing Shed
David was a great host. It's exactly as it's described. The area behind an old still in use shearing shed and that's awesome. Has power and water. It is warm and artesian water. The baths are amazing, beautifully rustic farm setting cause it is in front of a stunning wide and fat pine tree. The tree provides great shade from the afternoon sun for your set up but doesn't block the stunning sunset view in your tub. I'd recommend to anyone! Thank you David.

McBrides Flowing Bore
What a great experience this stay was. We had two nights here and enjoyed every minute. It was very dry during our stay but the small watering hole here attracts plenty of stock and wild birds. We had the company of Spoonbills, Emu’s and Brolga as well as the cattle and sheep and undertook the hour or so long farm tour which is self guided but David, the owner, has prepared notes pointing out features as well as directions along the tracks to stop you getting lost (hopefully!). It’s a bit lumpy in parts but any vehicle with decent clearance will get round. The cherry on the pie is the bath - a large round animal trough that you can fill from the adjacent artesian bore. The water is at 45 degrees so allow some time to cool. We loved it here. It was dusty and hot but a camping experience to remember.

Westbourne Shearing Shed
Such a great spot for a stop over. Easy access, more than enough space and the bonus of seeing the shearing shed up close was a bonus. But to sit in those baths watching the sun go down was something else. We also prearranged firewood which was right by the fire pit on arrival. David’s communication and instructions were first class. Great spot, great host. Would definitely recommend and we would happily return to Dunblane.

A beautiful place to stay. Had the most pleasant time at Nicki’s camp. Both power and water available and the hot tub was total bliss. The sunsets and sunrise was just amazing and it was great to have the girls check-in on us at arrival and provide firewood for the hot tub. Was nice to meet David also before he went out mustering. Thanks for the hospitality, amenities and the privilege of staying on your working property. It was a total pleasure! 12 out of 10!!

Amazing views of property, sunrises and sunsets at the cattle yards, loved the tubs provided for a bath able to fill with the natural hot bore water or can use a donkey hot water if you required it, was able to go and watch the sheep get sheared, employees and David were lovely. Overall an amazing experience highly recommend place to stay

McBrides Flowing Bore
McBrides Bore campsite was unique to say the least. We followed a track from the highway to the campsite, passing sheep and cattle on the way. The campsite was situated next to the bore windmill that was pumping out hot water from the artesian basin to feed the livestock. There was a billabong next to the camp, sheep, cattle, kangaroos, emus, brolgas, birds galore and a donkey looking after the sheep. The night sky was incredible, with no light for miles. It was very dusty and dry but the artesian spa bath was a welcome finish to the day. A fire around the campsite topped it off. This is an offgrid campsite and was perfect! Highly recommend!

What a lovely camping experience. This is a working farm and we got to experience the mustering and day to day work of the farm. And the sunset and stars are out if this world. We were lucky enough to stay during the new moon so the stars were incredible. We watched them and the magnificent outback sunset from the bath tubs. Power and water readily available.

Gretel Cattle Yards
We loved camping at Gretel Cattleyards - Dunblane Station. What stood out were the amazing sunsets, clear night skies full of stars and if you are lucky, the shooting stars. Enjoyed the tranquility, and the visits from the sheep, cows and emus. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night. The self drive tour gave us a small perspective of life on the station and was fun. David was most accomodating and we would certainly recommend this farm stay.

Absolutely loved our overnighter at McBride's Flowing Bore. The bore bath was used from when we got there to when we left - sunset, sunrise and star gazing! It was lovely and private without being too far off the main road.

Coolibah Waterhole in Strip Paddock
Our hosts mentioned our original choice was very muddy - not ideal for camping so they moved us to Gretel Cattle yard. Wow. It was perfect for us. Peace and quiet. Beautiful night sky. A large tub for bathing and fire wood provided by the host (totally unexpected) , who were happy to answer any questions we had. Two nights were but long enough. Will definitely return for longer.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dunblane. One of our favourite parts was enjoying a nightly bath as the sun was setting — such a spectacular and peaceful experience. There’s something so special about having a space completely to yourself, with our puppy having the freedom to roam and explore. The beautiful rustic surroundings made the whole experience feel incredibly relaxing and connected to nature. A truly wonderful stay, and somewhere we would happily return to. 🤍🐾🌅

Gretel Cattle Yards
Gretel Cattle yard site was large, very private and serene. Host David gave excellent site directions via text, including how to set up the artisan hot tub. All messages were answered directly. Throughly enjoyed our afternoon and night here. Some neighbouring sheep, cattle and 3 visiting Brolgas made it more rurally pleasant.

McBrides Flowing Bore
Hands down the highlight of our trip so far! What a stunning, private, and peaceful place to stay.(McBride Flowing Bore site) The artesian hot tub was incredibly relaxing, and we had a blast exploring the property on the self-guided drive. The sunsets here are spectacular—and fantastic for photos. David was a lovely, super helpful host, and we loved watching the local cows and sheep wander past the fenced area. We can’t wait to come back!
