Great camp spot in the high country. Jayne’s instructions were easy to follow. We had a 2WD Mercedes sprinter campervan and had no trouble getting into the site. Flushing toilet was a nice touch and thoughtfully set up with gravity feed. Highly recommend for a secluded spot to camp. Many thanks G&R

Paula and her husband (whose name escapes me) were wonderful hosts, Paula pointed out some other nice camping spots for me around the area and some walks on the property and through the forest to do. Access to the creek was a little difficult but that was mainly due to the long grass and me worrying about snakes with my dog. Easy access just down the road though. Great shelter and amenities and the views were amazing with the changing light and clouds. My dog was very welcome and he loved walking around the farm and seeing the cows. The whole area is beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

Our stay at the Bend along the Murry was great. Hosts where helpful and nice, the campground was excellent, toilet, fire pits (cooking pit and little fire for sitting around) provided where also great. You won't regret staying here.

A wonderful quiet and peaceful place to stay. Our site was very secluded. It had a fire pit, drinking water and bins provided. Also a little lamb and two little dogs came for a visit. Dogs allowed. $28 per night 2A + 2 Dogs.

Relax amongst the gum trees in the high country. Burru Farm is set in the bush and features a Bushman’s Hut and space for camping. We are located between Jindabyne and Thredbo so whether it’s snow fun in winter or bush walking and mountain biking in summer, we are in the perfect location…or you can just hide away from it all and enjoy the serenity. Also, just 1km down the road you’ll find Wild Brumby distillery where you can sample the local goodies. This cosy little Bushman's Hut, nestled in the alpine bush, has an open fireplace, bathroom with flushing toilet, hot shower and a wood stove. You can stay in the Hut, or you can bring your own tent or camper and just use the Hut’s facilities. The Hut sleeps two guests. Wake up to Kangaroos and peaceful birdsong. Our house is about 300m away but you will have total privacy amongst the trees. We are doing our best to tread lightly on the land so minimal vehicle use around the Hut and camp areas is appreciated.

The Thowgla Hall is a community-run hall in the heart of the beautiful Thowgla Valley. Only 5km from Corryong, its location is the perfect quiet camping spot to get away from the crowds in town during the Man From Snowy River Festival. We are also conveniently located very close to the reenactment site, so you can get up there early to grab the best seats. The camping area is located in a beautiful, level paddock behind the hall, with a huge amount of space, scattered gumtrees, and stunning views. You will have full use of our newly renovated full kitchen, toilets, baby change table, and hot showers. You're also welcome to use our picnic area and fire pit! Please note, we allow one vehicle per site. If you are two groups traveling together (two caravans, two campers etc) we ask that you please make two separate bookings. Only one 'set up' is permitted per site. We also have a two-night minimum stay requirement. Well-behaved four-legged friends are welcome, please keep them within your site and clean up any little messes they may do :).

Close by you can enjoy the Eucumbene dam 10 minutes to the North with great Trout fishing and Jindabyne 25 minutes to the South. Kosciousko National Park is located to the West with several access points. Sitting at an elevation of 1270m above sea level it gets blanketed in snow in winter and beautiful sun in summer.

Our property is located a few short minutes' drive from the township of Jindabyne. Over the road you are can visit the Station Resort and enjoy their bar and restaurant, as well as the bands and entertainment they feature regularly. Perisher ski resort is just 40 minutes away, Thredbo ski resort is a quick 25 minutes away so pack your skis and snowboards during winter, or bring your mountain bike during summer. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. There is an outdoor fireplace for your use, you will need to provide your own firewood. For high country fly fishing enthusiasts, there are Blue Ribbon Trout Fishing streams 2km away. We are only 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne – turn left to head up to the mountains (a further 30 minutes to Thredbo or Perisher) or right to explore Jindabyne township and its boutiques, breweries, cafes and cinema. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Our property is on a hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop for spectacular views! Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest in peace and privacy or get out to enjoy all the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Whether you come for snow sports, water sports, biking, hiking, yoga or reading – adventure and relaxation awaits. Access to all sites is via a tree-lined driveway. To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. We can supply firewood, kindling and fire starters for a small fee, just message us in advance, or you can BYO. Strictly no foraging for wood from the property please. On our property, we offer one private campsite with a large shelter making it ideal for all-weather group camping. While situated on a farm, it is a fenced-off space that can accommodate numerous vans. The Shelter is equipped with a wood heater, BBQ, stove, sink, tables, and some chairs. In addition, it has a basic shower and a toilet. The site has a designated cooking fire and a campfire. The Shelter has solar power providing lighting and charging facilities. All you need for a rustic home away from home! No mobile service or internet at the campsite ensures that you will switch off and relax. The Shelter is not a cabin but an open-air space for use by campers who are self-sufficient with bedding arrangements - swags, tents, camper trailers or vans. The creek running through the property provides great swimming and fishing (a 400m walk/drive from The Shelter), and the surrounding bush environment provides opportunities for walks, 4WD adventures, and wildlife spotting. More about the property... In 2017 we purchased our small farm in the Nariel Valley. It ticked all the boxes including a creek running through it and backing onto bushland. Now the dream has been realised and we are living in our new home, on our farm, with our small herd of Angus cows. We knew Nariel was special but we continue to discover its myriad of offerings for those who love the great outdoors. We look forward to sharing what we have discovered with our visitors. About Nariel: Wildlife abounds here, with wombats, emus, and kangaroos roaming the property and the list is endless for bird-watching enthusiasts. The remote location on a clear night provides a dark star-filled sky with shooting stars a common occurrence for those who are looking. Nariel Creek is a renowned trout fishing destination. The tracks around the Nariel Valley are a popular destination for motorbike and 4WD enthusiasts. Mount Pinnibar Track and Mount Gibbo are both accessed via Nariel. Several high country huts, all re-built since the January 2020 bushfires, are within an hour drive. Nariel was a thriving community during the gold rush, at that time there were 4 schools and a pub in the valley. Historical relics and gold can still be found. Panning in the creek and tributaries can be a rewarding pastime. The Nariel Creek provides a great spot to cool down in summer and is fast-flowing for a fun float through rapids. In spring the Nariel Valley is where you will find some beautiful wildflower sites. Nariel is home to the Nariel Folk Festival held over a week in late December – early January each year. And that is only in Nariel Valley! Corryong is the nearest township (population ~1350) and is 25 minutes away. The Murray River at Towong is 40 minutes away. Kayaking, push bike riding and many other pursuits are all on your doorstep if you can drag yourself away from Nariel.

Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied. We have canoes to borrow, seasonal produce is available from the garden and our own beef and local lamb is also now available. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras" We are open from October to April.

It has been a few years since we stopped hosting campers at Samsons Gully, but we're back and looking forward to meeting new and old friends. Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it. We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing. The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion. Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings. Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property. Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. This ensures that your time here will be exclusive, peaceful and private.

Our story starts in Far North Queensland, when a german backpacker, me :), met an Aussie fisherman, Craig. To cut the long story short, after living together in Germany we decided to move back to Australia. We had a vision, trying to find our perfect place to live. Starting out with a car, a camper trailer and two bags we travelled from North Queensland down to Tasmania. Looking for a place to live. On our way through Tumbarumba everything started to unfold and we fell in love with our property. The feel, the experience and the climate. This was it! We've found our perfect place and finally named it "Creal's Rest" which has two meanings for us. Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish. Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). Walteela means "Place of Peace" and that is what you might be looking for. No traffic waking you. Listen to the sounds of nature instead... Enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife (kookaburras, echidnas, wombats, kangaroos, etc.), small creek, stunning mountain views and dark skies for star gazing. Birdwatchers... you'll love it! Love fishing? Enjoy a chat with Craig, who has been a pro line fisherman for 18 years in the GBR! He loves to explore, show off the local fishing spots and a chat about all things fishing! Mannus Creek is only a couple of min drive away and Mannus Lake 15-20 min drive. Hand feed our friendly alpacas, greet our pet chickens and find some eggs. Ask us for some fresh herbs from our garden if you like cooking with a little extra  flavour or use them to enjoy a herbal tea.  Heard of "Swedish Torch" yet? An amazing way of having a campfire, that burns for hours. Cook on it or just enjoy the beautiful mess free fire. Book ahead!
