Paula and her husband (whose name escapes me) were wonderful hosts, Paula pointed out some other nice camping spots for me around the area and some walks on the property and through the forest to do. Access to the creek was a little difficult but that was mainly due to the long grass and me worrying about snakes with my dog. Easy access just down the road though. Great shelter and amenities and the views were amazing with the changing light and clouds. My dog was very welcome and he loved walking around the farm and seeing the cows. The whole area is beautiful and definitely worth a visit.
Absolutely beautiful location! Would 100% recommend! Nice fenced private area with an amazing shelter perfect for relaxing. Can tell Paula has put a lot of love and thought into the space! Super close to creek and 4wd tracks.

The Shelter
We loved camping at the Shelter. It’s beautiful country and the campsite is well equiped and maintained. Perfect for extended families or larger groups as they there was plenty of room and the camp shower with hot water from the firepit was a real hit!
Outstanding, we have never had a better camping experience, private, quiet and so comfortable.. The shelter meant we could enjoy ourselves in any weather. Being able to have a hot shower every day using the clever little set up over the fire was just bliss. The hosts are lovely and have provided so much to make guests comfortable. Toilet, shower, solar lighting, bbq and cooking utensils, sinks with running water, huge table to enjoy a meal around and 3 diferent fire areas. We so appreciated that our dog was welcome and he loved his walks around this beautiful property (leashed, there is cattle, kangaroos and wombats) and then relaxing in our huge fenced site. The creek across the road was gorgeous, shallow enough im spots for paddling, deep enough in others to swim. We just parked ourselves there every day on a picnic rug for the entire day. We stayed for a week but could have stayed so much longer looking at the clear starry sky each night.
Really enjoyed our stay here, nice and private (you can see the house but it's far away) and there are great views of the valley. Very friendly hosts, toilet and donkey shower very good. Creek was a bit too chilly for us but must be great to swim in in summer. Definitely recommend to all.
It was a lovely place to stay for a few days. There’s some nice dirt road drives around the place. We drove up to a snow cabin and a beautiful deer jumped in front of the car for a minute and looked back at us as it passed by. The fire places were fantastic. Hot water was a bit tricky to organize so we didn’t bother with a shower. Lots of good dry places to hang out if it rained.
A big thanks to Paula and Pat for an amazing stay over the weekend. Paula checked in with me before the trip (as she was away) and Pat met me on the day. There was a (very pretty) thunderstorm on my first night but it didn’t matter to me as I was undercover and could still enjoy the space. I loved sitting by the fire and reading the weekend away.
The amenities are amazing - the drive in is easy (off a bitumen road) and I made it with ease in my Tarago (no 4wd) .
Amazing birds all around and the rosella’s are very friendly.

The Shelter
My family and I recently stayed at The Shelter for 3 nights, fantastic time. Very well setup the extra space it afforded us when it rained was really handy and would be the same from the sun in summer I assume. a Number of fire spots and hot water can be boiled over one of them which was great for dishes and shower if you need it. The creek was real nice to walk along and as there is private access some distance from the nearest bridge very private. Oh and there is gold in the creek my son found a little while panning. Will be back.
A very quiet spot in a beautiful location. Great setup to be under cover, especially in winter to keep the frost off the swags. Table, sink, fire pit, toilet, solar lights and an awesome aspect up and down the valley. Around a 4 hour round trip to see snow. Would highly recommend.

Very well equipped campsite in close proximity to the creek for exploring and fishing
The Shelter was perfect for our get away. We had 7 adults, 3 cars, 2 cans and a camper trailer and there was ample room for us all. A sheltered area to sit under with a shower and toilet. Fire pits and fire wood provided. Exclusive to us. 25 min drive to Corryong. Loved our time here and the foothills of the VIC high country

Had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The location was beautiful, with a stunning site and a lovely creek nearby that made the experience even more special. The amenities were excellent. Paula was incredibly helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience!

Very nice spot, got everything you could ever need. I walked 100m up the creek nearby and caught 2 fish.
Nothing better than not wanting to leave.
With “The Shelter” that’s exactly what happened.
We booked for 2 nights and extended it to 4.
Paula and Pat are the perfect hosts who ensure your stay is exceptional
The site is secluded and has everything you would want for an off grid experience
It even has a toilet setup to make it easier
Open fire every night, cooking utensils and a million stars above
Even saw StarLink string of lights fly overhead (Satellite deployment)
An amazing sight
It is about 30 minutes from Corryong for coffee addicts like us and a pleasant drive
No reception but we have StarLink so no issues there
Thank you for a memorable stay

We stayed four nights at Paula and Pat’s, but it felt like two weeks. It’s restful and quiet and a genuinely lovely corner of the country to unwind in. The paddock is fenced for doggos (FYI ours could fit underneath the gate - something to keep in mind if you have a smaller or more adventurous pup with you) and the gorgeous creek is just across the road, perfect for afternoon swims. We loved every second of it. Thanks for having us guys!

We loved our stay at Nariel creek farm camp. Very quiet and the night skies were amazing! The river across the road or up at Stacey’s Bridge was beautiful. A great part of Victoria!
What a great campsite. Excellently well setup with everything you could ever need camping. Quiet and peaceful, would definitely return.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Shelter, peace and quiet and everything provided for a very comfortable camping experience thanks again Paula and Patrick .
A beautiful location away from the crowds. Paula and Patrick were amazing hosts, greeting us on arrival and showing us how the hot shower set up works.
Their property is a great place for exploring the surrounding tracks in to the mountains and the surrounding Upper Murray area. There is so much to see around here.
The Shelter provides a great place to hang out when not exploring and the sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. The short walk across the road to the creek was also great.
Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a private camp away from crowds!
The Shelter had everything and more we could have possibly needed.
Paula and her husband were both so lovely, they came to greet us when we arrived - Even though we were late due to numerous reasons. Paula told us about the property and showed us the ins and outs.
We had our swags and still were beyond comfortable.
Nothing was too much trouble, the kids said numerous times how much they loved where we were staying and would love to go back, they were 8 and 13. I couldn't fault our stay, and we will definitely be back for many more fishing and camping trips to have and memories to be made.
Thanks Paula and family for your hospitality and friendly faces and for being so inviting and welcoming to us, It didn't go unnoticed.

The Shelter
The Shelter was the best Hipcamp location I have ever stayed at! It was private and secluded and having no phone service was so relaxing.
Paula has made sure there is everything anyone would need and even left us a packet of marshmallows on arrival.
The site is well fenced and secure for dogs as well as being more than enough space to spread out.
Paula met us on arrival and talked us through everything and even checked in halfway through our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any more questions we had.
The onsite toilet was spotless and the shower was insanely good. Having access to both of these made us feel like we were glamping!
The incredible scenery, the walking distance to the creek and the location made this site absolutely perfect, it truly is a slice of paradise. We will be telling all our friends about this site and hope to be back soon!
I can’t even begin to explain how amazing The Shelter was! The scenery in the area brought a tear to my eye!!!
The camp area was perfect for myself and my pooch, Paula has cordoned off a large area with farm fencing (the square wire kind not just the horizontal wire type) it gave me piece of mind that my doggo couldn’t go wandering far without me. Lil (doggo) loved having all the space to explore with lots of new smells and sounds.
Paula was so helpful and explained everything on my arrival, the shower system is ingenious, the toilet was super clean and very convenient. Lots of cooking utensils and supplies on site, a great area to relax in in the heat of the day and lots of nature walks and treks to keep you occupied, I’m not a fisher but there were fishing spots everywhere!!
Would 100% recommend for anyone with kidlets and doglets that need them to be able to roam around but also kept close while surrounded by the most amazing vistas. Also for the fisher folk out there that any access to crystal clear streams.

This is a beautiful spot with friendly and attentive hosts. So great to have the shelter which is well set up. The fenced off area has plenty of space and the river a short walk over the road. Wonderful area to explore and we loved the fact there was no phone/ wifi - perfect way to really get away from it all! Thanks for having us Paula and Pat!
Excellent campsite with many creature comforts including large under cover area, hot water shower, toilet and lots of extra equipment. The valley and creek are beautiful. Friendly hosts. Great spot for kids. Good all weather access. We would love to stay again.

We had an amazing stay at the Shelter with beautiful views, and Paula was lovely and very helpful. It was so good for the dogs to be able to run around yet be secure inside fencing! Loved the campfires, and were able to keep warm and dry under the shelter.
Would love to come back one day!

The shelter was wonderful! Plenty of space underneath the shelter which was all very clean and tidy. The structure and amenities were surrounded by a fence to keep the cattle away which was great. There was ample water supply for washing up and heating for the shower. And a gas cooker/bbq ready to use!

The Shelter
Fantastic spot in the middle of a beautiful valley! We stayed there two nights and even though we arrived quite late Paula and Pat came over and made us feel welcome and showed us around their property was very helpful and allowed us to settle in faster.
The Shelter has all the amenities you need if you forget something and is perfect to keep warm during a cold winter storm which we had. The Shelter is a brilliant place to use as a base camp to explore the valley and would definitely recommend a trip to Corryong for lunch.
Can't rate this place highly enough, will definitely stay here again next camping trip!
