I loved camping at Bahwidgee! It’s so well maintained and right on the river. Wayne is an incredibly friendly host and his farm is beautiful. Only a short 3-4km walk into town (Tumut) and there’s a lovely river walk there too. Would definitely recommend and we will be back for sure.

Bimbimbi river bend is a wonderfully secluded spot on the river. Camping amongst the popler trees gave us a wonderful place to have picnics with the kids. The river flows deep enough for an adult to float with a beer down stream. While the sheltered shallows are great for kids to play in the mud with an abundance of skipping rocks Ian and his family are very welcoming with free access to and from the farm with town close by and markets on the weekends with lots of family fun. Cant wait to stay again and bring some friends as well

This was our third stay here in 3 years and it still is our favourite camping spot. Wayne as always was a great host. It's so tranquil with the great grassy camp sites combined with the river the bird life the cattle the views of the surrounding area and maybe a trout or two make it just so relaxing. The new toilets were a added bonus. It's only a 10 minute drive Into town for supplies and entertainment. We will be back again next year. Rob

Bahwidgee is an excellent spot, so beautiful being able to camp right by the river. The location was easy to find with the clear instructions provided. We saw a platypus in the river whilst we had breakfast in the morning.

Ian’s camping spots The Big Bend is very large, right on the river side, the grass's area was cut and green with plenty of trees for shade, with a toilet supplied, very nice fire pit and fire wood can be supplied at a cost. Weekend Trip to Creal's Rest

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at Creal’s Rest. It was very peaceful. The alpacas were sweet and curious and there was even a baby alpaca! The burbling creek was pretty and a soothing sound. The big apple box gum tree was spectacular and provided nice shade. The site is just down the hill from the main house but quite private. There is a composting drop toilet (with no door). We saw a few platypus in Mannus creek 5 minutes drive down the road at the bridge. It was lovely and green in late spring. Our hosts were kindly and interesting to chat with. Thanks for having us!

Located on the stunning Tumut River, where River Red gums are scattered though out the camp,offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to pit toilets (3) otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied. We have canoes to borrow, seasonal produce is available from the garden and our own beef and local lamb is also now available. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras" We are open from October to April.

We ask that you are conservative with your water use, and we encourage you to bring your own. Enjoy waking up to the tranquil sounds of wildlife of all sorts, (not having to hear any traffic being 500meters off the main road). plus the views of the kangaroos in the mornings is pleasant too! The campsite is accessible by 2WD and we can accommodate all types of camping vehicles. You will need to level your vehicle depending on which site you choose. Your pet is welcome to join you and can cool off in the dams we have available.

It is home to native animals big and small and many natural features and views. Close by you can enjoy the Eucumbene dam 10 minutes to the North with great Trout fishing and Jindabyne 25 minutes to the South. Kosciousko National Park is located to the West with several access points. Sitting at an elevation of 1270m above sea level it gets blanketed in snow in winter and beautiful sun in summer.

It has been a few years since we stopped hosting campers at Samsons Gully, but we're back and looking forward to meeting new and old friends. Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it. We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing. The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion. Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings. Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property. Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. Our property is located in Tumut Plains at a nursery that specialises in African Violets. The house on the property is 120 years old and was once a school that has now been converted. The property also has some of the most amazing sunsets on offer. We are only a few minutes by car from the beautiful township of Tumut where you can access the Tumut River and Blowering Dam for all your water activities. There is also a great brewery for food and drinks, a nearby by mountain bike park and we are not too far from Adelong Falls. The property is pet friendly but please ensure your pets are under control at all times. Campfires are welcome in the firepit provided, as long as there is no restrictions in place.
