You may find internet and mobile not fully covered here. I have a mobile that I use which works well depending where I stand. Now has 3 adjacent camp sites available. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds. The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments. Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars! Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough. We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly. No pets please as we have a wildlife corridor here. * I am considering quiet well behaved pets for campers but not in the bush hut. Will verify soon*.

Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. We are located between Jindabyne and Thredbo so whether it’s snow fun in winter or bush walking and mountain biking in summer, we are in the perfect location…or you can just hide away from it all and enjoy the serenity. We loved staying at Anna’s place, she was great with communications and the directions were clear to arriving, then her and her family showed us wonderful hospitality from the get go, we asked for more fire wood for night two and it was delivered in no time. The tent itself is beautiful inside with lots of little bits and pieces and details that have been well thought out (etc extra lights and batteries and playing cards). The bed is super comfy and there are extra blankets if needed. We experienced high winds on the second night but the glamp tent kept us cosy and warm with no issues. The fire pit area was a great communal space again with so many bits and pieces that were helpful. These included utensils, cleaning items, spray oil, some cutlery and crockery and loads of water. The toilet again showed signs of being well thought out, a simple portable toilet set up away from the tent but accompanied by a bucket with cleaning wipes, toilet paper and hand sanitisers. The views were fantastic and the spot is secluded, we saw or heard no one else our whole stay and that’s exactly what we wanted. You could go exploring or collapse in the hammock with a book. We can’t recommend it here enough and will be back for sure. Thanks guys!

We loved the glamping experience at Tin Can Ridge. It snowed while we were here, so it was lovely to wake up to the beautiful winter wonderland and to explore the nearby trails. One thing we were unprepared for on the cold weather was the camping toilet - the flushing liquid froze due to the frosty temps. It's a simple set up but otherwise a great place to visit.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place! The views on top of the hill were lovely and watching the stars at night was amazing, the sky was so clear. Lots of walks to do around the place as well. The tent is nice and cosy, the bed is extremely comfortable, with extra blankets if needed. Nice firepit - with plenty of firewood, which was replenished for our second night. Webber bbq to use as well. Lots of little thoughtful things around(tin foil, UNO) which made a nice touch. Anna and Andrew are lovely and welcoming. Would recommend if you are looking for a relaxing weekend away.

Great setup in the caravan with lots of little bits and pieces for cooking etc, having a tap with drinking water and a gas cooker was really helpful. Nice quiet spot with lots of space for a tent as well. Creek was great to cool off in, kids loved it and want to come back, really lovely and thoughtful hosts.
