Camp on spacious grounds just minutes from Lake Jindabyne and the gateway to Kosciuszko National Park. Owned and operated by Scouts NSW, the Alpine Activity Centre offers a peaceful bush setting with plenty of open space for tents making it a great basecamp for exploring the Snowy Mountains. Spend your days hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, or exploring the alpine landscape in the warmer months, and enjoy easy access to nearby ski fields during winter. The property’s relaxed setting and fresh mountain air make it an ideal stop for road-trippers, outdoor adventurers, and families alike. A camp kitchen and small dining room with hot showers and toilets available In addition to camping areas, the centre also features a range of on-site facilities including cottages, lodges, and group accommodation. Located only a short drive from Jindabyne’s shops, cafes, and the lake foreshore, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Snowy Mountains while still being close to town amenities.

Main camp site

The main campsite is beside the main lodge, while the camp kitchen, toilets, and showers are located across the car park. The site has space for around 50 tents. It is a 10-minute walk from Lake Jindabyne, perfect for swimming, sailing, and canoeing in the warmer months, and just a 5-minute drive from local shops and restaurants. The campsite is also only a 20-minute drive from both Thredbo and Perisher. There is also a communal campfire pit near the lodge for your use. Bike tracks, fishing spots, and hiking trails are all just a short drive away.

Top Camp sites

The top camp site is nearest the camp kitchen/toilets and showers, and has space for about 15 tents. It is a 10 min walk from Lake Jindabyne, perfect for swimming, sailing and canoeing in the warmer months, and 5 min drive for the local shops and restaurants. The camp site is also a 20 min drive from both Thredbo and Perisher. There is a communal campfire pit near the lodge for your use. There are bike tracks, fishing spots and hiking trails a short drive away aswell.
