Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

We have 245 acres with an area of bushland and other lovely areas with scattered trees, plus some open areas. Currently we have a choice of camping areas for caravans and tents, some nestled in amongst the tree line. Other areas alongside the dam. We keep all the camping areas slashed for safety and to allow easier access to find a suitable camping spot. We also have a hut available in the bush area. This hut is secluded and has its own outdoor private toilet. There is no shower, electricity or fresh water available, however we do have a flush toilet at the camping and caravan site. Campers would need to be self-sufficient otherwise. Please note we don't allow motorbikes, Quads or firearms on the property and there are no exceptions, sorry. We run sheep on our property and have wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. We also have farm animals such as cows, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, geese, and dogs. We have 8 dams, 3 of which have fish as well as yabbies throughout the year. Fire pits located in designated areas and only to used during non fire ban periods and to be supervised at all times. We're happy for you to bring your dog however you would be required to keep it under your control or on a leash and away from the sheep. No motor bikes, quads, firearms permitted and no exceptions. No diving off jetty Supervise children at all times. Water, dams, firepits, bushwalking and all areas can be dangerous. Caution, dams may be dangerous, and water is deep. Do not enter paddocks with cows and horses. Beware of snakes. Eudora Farm provides our guests with a unique opportunity to enjoy a multitude of activities, including but not limited to swimming ,fishing, boating, camping, camp fires, bush-walking and other farm related activities. It has flat areas with plenty of free timber for the designated fire pits. I have tried to create a haven for wildlife including Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and platypus. I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property. There is only Telstra reception available in this area. We offer 7 different sites and the maximum stay is 7 nights.

Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food. If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses. If you want exclusive use of the paddocks, refer to Group Bush Retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at Rainbird, the campervan was well equipped with blankets and basic essentials that made our stay cozy and relaxed. The scenery was gorgeous and our host Christine was quick to help when our water ran out and she also recommended a nice bushwalk not too far away. We loved our stay at The Shack. It feels wonderfully secluded while still being close to town. The sounds of Lyrebirds, Gang-gang Cockatoos, and the creek flowing nearby made it a truly relaxing escape. Being right on the river was a highlight, and the generous supply of firewood for both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit kept us warm on the chilly nights. For anyone who enjoys camping but appreciates a little extra comfort and warmth, The Shack is a fantastic option. We would happily stay again.

Slice of heaven only 15 min from Berry brimming with wildlife, kangaroos, wombats, birds, cows and horses! We camped on the property and also used the tiny home which was well equipped and very cozy when there was inclement weather. Ken was an ideal host and came out to check on us when the winds were strong just to make sure we were ok. The river on the property was gorgeous and I can imagine how great it would be in summer for a swim! Thank you for a great stay,

We had an incredible experience here. The entire setup is so cosy, and having both the indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit was an absolute dream for the chilly evenings. The facilities are fabulous. The shower had amazing hot water, and the toilets were clean and all good. The service was incredibly lovely from start to finish. Also, a huge thank you for the marshmallows! It was such a thoughtful touch that made our trip extra special. The dogs also had the best time.

The dome and outhouse had every comfort to help make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Being able to cook on the fire near the ancient tree was very special and overall it gave us a chance to fully unwind and get back to nature. We would love to come and visit again.

Weekend Trip to K2 River Island Nature Retreat

Absolutely beautiful place. Peaceful and quiet. River was big lots of room for hiking. Cabin was warm with a fireplace and comfortable sleeping. Kangaroos everywhere and wombats. Amenities were clean and maintained. I would definitely recommend this place. I will be back here again.

Weekend Trip to Scribbly Gum secluded bush camping

Really enjoyed our two night stay at The Shack, large amount of firewood provided which warmed the shack perfectly on the cold and frosty winter nights. Really handy to have the kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook with, just bring your own food etc. Perfect escape to enjoy my 60th birthday. Lyrebirds were visiting us constantly, thanks for having us Phil, will be back for sure.

Weekend Trip to Mellows Ridge

We enjoyed our night in the bell tent and waking up to sounds of the lyrebirds! My boys loved riding in the wheeled cart provided to help us get our gear up the small hill from our car. there were other campers on the property but as each campsite is on a different level of the escarpment- like a terrace- it was still private. Ian was friendly, welcoming and responsive and we also enjoyed the hot tub add-on! Only 7 minutes into town and close to a golf course that my partner enjoyed.

Weekend Trip to Glamping Around An Ancient Tree

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The space was clean, quiet and private with a gorgeous vista, and the beautiful ancient tree. I saw kangaroos, ducks and many beautiful birds. It felt very grounding and restorative. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable nature escape.
