The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owner does not reside near the campsite.
The Scrub Campsite has evolved to offer adults-only camping experience. In response to strong demand for child-free accommodation, the campsite now operates exclusively as an 18+ campsite ideal for couples, solo travellers, and small groups seeking a tranquil and relaxing environment.
Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement.
A communal camp kitchen, water tanks and compost toilet is available for campers use. You can connect your gas bottle to a Kick Ass hot water shower. Fire pits are located at each site. Campers will be advised of fire bans by signage on the front gate. Campers are not permitted on high fire danger days.
Wood can be purchased from the self service white ibc container for $20 for a wheel barrow load.
Please adhere to the camp rules which are posted at each campsite.
The campsite is located on the Heysen Trail and close to many Lower Fleurieu Peninsula beaches and attractions. The popular Belicious Cafe is a 50 minute walk.
Whole campsite bookings for larger groups can be made by contacting the owner..
We ask that campers respect all other campers, the land that they are camping on and follow the campers motto - Leave nothing but your footprints.

Firewood collection is prohibited. Land owner may do camp site inspection at anytime. Land owner has the rights to evict if you are not following our rules.

Welcome to your dream destination!!
We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each.
FIRST LOCATION:
EMU BAY HIDEAWAY-30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay.
Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote.
Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property. There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather.
There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water.
SECOND LOCATION:
Farm Stay about 15 km from Emu Bay and 20km from the main town of Kingscote. This is an operating small sheep farm of over 100ha. For security reasons the exact location is not advertised, but will be disclosed upon arrival on Kangaroo Island.
There are several beautiful sites. This location is fairly central to most KI visitor attractions. It is a secure place to set up camp and have peace of mind that your belongings will be safe while you are away from the site. The host takes care to situate sites to give campers the feeling of exclusiveness.
NOTES;
Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council).

We are located walking distance from lake alexandrina, we’re there are plenty of activities to do such as fishing, boating, and more. This site is a 4 minute walk from the main house and is completely private. The property has its own private road so plenty of room for kids to ride their bikes, we have horses and cows that guests are welcome to feed over the fence. Dogs are welcome lots of room for them to run around, we also have paddle boards for hire.
The town of milang has its own mini mart and cafe and on weekends the train museum is open for viewing.

Welcome to Marron Bush Escape, located in Gosse, in the Western River area (western end, near Flinders Chase National Park) of beautiful Kangaroo Island!
This is a beautiful, remote, rural 250 acre private property, it is home to a number of sheep, features dams that have Marron and boasts the best that nature has to offer. Rest assured, you will not see any neighbours on this property; just picturesque landscapes everywhere you look! It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Penneshaw, where you get off the ferry.
We offer powered and unpowered camp sites, as well as a bush, cabin.
Camp fires (small) are allowed when fire restrictions allow. There is a fire pit that can be used when there is no fire ban, with barbecue plate and camp ovens for old-style bush cooking or cooking up your fresh organic Kangaroo Island Marron.
There is a drop toilet at the back and external lights and an external kitchen sink with hot and cold water.
There is one drop dunny and limited rain water (you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you need extra).
For your convenience, there are recycling and rubbish bins at corner of Snug and Colman’s Rd for all waste disposal.
On half of our property we have sheep and lambs in the paddocks. Bring your camera, and you just might be lucky enough to see little lambs playing and even being born. We may also be shearing and invite you to see how this is done. The other half of the property is untouched natural scrub with grass and trees 12 foot tall. There are koalas, eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and lots of other native animals and a creek with small waterfalls. In winter time the ground can be boggy, so a 4WD is desirable and will allow you to explore further.
From the cabin, make your way down past the dams and go through the shiny gate at the bottom of the hill (please close the gate behind you). Here, you'll discover 125 acres of untouched Kangaroo Island wilderness with walking trails to explore. Keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos, wedge-tail eagles, wallabies, large grass trees etc
We also have two small lakes that you can have a picnic by or drop some Marron nets in for a fresh feed. There are weighing scales provided at the shed so you can pay for them. This is on an honesty system- so please do the right thing, as we have already been burnt from the fires. You must contact me if you wish to fish for marron prior to catching any.
There are no shops or restaurants close by (stock up before arriving!) and you will need to travel down dirt roads but you will really have the opportunity to get off the grid, get back to nature and make memories in the stunning, untouched, Kangaroo Island wilderness!

Situated on 100 acres 5km north of Robe town, and a very very short drive (or 2km walk) to beautiful Long Beach, the Robe Camel Farm is in the perfect location.
Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar.
You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. Book these experiences on the website www.humpalicious.com.au.
Robe Camel Farm is a very relaxed environment. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to!
Note, we do keep beehives on the property, so if you are badly allergic to bees, please come prepared. Dog friendly but must be well controlled. Campfires not permitted.

What a fantastic location with a stunning view of the bay. 5 sites spread out for maximum privacy.

Fantastic campsite. All the sites are well laid out and seemingly accommodate every style of family and set up.
Each site was very well set up to be private enough but with the accessibility to the well stocked camp kitchen and communal area. Firewood was readily accessible and simple payment method- love the honesty approach too and thankful in and ever changing world! Humanity reigns and specifically at the harmonious Scrub campsite
Beautiful countryside and some amazing birds and the beautiful gums all over.
Huge fan. Will be back soon for sure.
The hosts Alison and Mark are friendly and responsive, all round a beautiful time in the stunning Inman valley

Gorgeous views with very well spaced sites so you really do have your own space! Toilets are close by and well maintained. Farm dog is super friendly and loves a stick thrown! Good chance you'll have kangaroos come through in the evenings 🏕️

Nice, spacious site that was well maintained and felt very private. The drop toilet was a welcome bonus and only a short walk from the campsite, making the bush camping experience that little bit more comfortable. I’d happily stay here again.

We had a great weekend. Rob is a great host and is very quick to reply to messages and couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming both before and during our stay. The land is absolutely beautiful with cows, sheep and a great space for the kids to roam and play. Toilets and showers are well looked after, clean and close by. There is a wonderful games room with tv, pool table and couches to hang out in.
The gin distillery on site is wonderful as well, great for dinner and drinks. Seriously, so beautiful. We had a lovely evening up there last night, the pizzas were incredible. We can’t wait to get back!

My second time camping here and i loved it! i arrived on Sunday and headed to Moo’s Distillery which is on the property and enjoyed watching the cows being fed as well as a lovely drink with their handmade gin. Met so many lovely people and watched the sun set. I was the only person at the campsite and it was cold but a beautiful peaceful night. Woke early and there were goats next to where I was camping and they let me pat them for a while which was so lovely. Absolutely love this little slice of heaven. So peaceful and calm and my favourite spot to camp on the Fluerieu Peninsula.

It was great camping at Breakaway Farmstay with my partner using our camper van! The farm itself was beautiful views with the additional of adorable farm animals (goats, sheep, cows and the cheeky magpies)! The amenities were great as well; felt like a luxury with flushable toilets! We got the powered site with access to running water (rain water)! Being able to have access to the undercover bbq/picnic area was great for our cooked breakfasts and dinners! I do recommend if you want to switch off from the outside world 🫶

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Cooinda once again, this time it included a lot of rain and it was easy to relax as we had lovely lush grass and gravel, so no mud! We love camping in the rain and Cooinda made it a very special time. Fantastic views and so relaxing. Will definitely be back as a really lovely place to stay. Plus my dog loves the freedom in the fenced site.

Great campsite! Lots of space, swings for the kids, and all the facilities you need (tables, chairs, firepit, kitchen). Rainwater for drinking. The only downside was there were two very large groups of guys who were very loud into the night.

Tiatukia Farm Campsite by the Sea was perfect for what we needed. The views were incredible and the peace and quiet was lovely. We were the only campers there but the sites are limited and well spaced so everyone has privacy as well as a great outlook.

Wow, what Great spot, this was our first trip with our two young dogs, (Husky and Boxer) the site was perfect. The whole camp is fantastic and great value for money.
Marica met us when we arrived to make sure we were all good, can't recomend enough. Looking forward to going again in few weeks.
