We camped here for 2 nights.
Loved the scenery and privacy. We saw a few kangaroos, rabbits and lots of birds. Close to waitpinga and Victor Harbour. The camping area is near a road but traffic driving through is scarce. Will definitely come back again ✨

Great stay, with open space and a big open sky for star gazing. Easy to follow instructions and not having a 4WD was not a problem for me.

Beautiful little spot if you like having your own space away from others. Everything was clean and tidy. The main road is nearby but traffic is minimal, so it stayed nice and quiet. Great base for exploring Deep Creek, Second Valley, Rapid Bay and Victor Harbor.

Nice private spot lots of birds and a few kangaroos in the morning. Handy as close to the ferry to kangaroo Island. We went through Normanville on way to ferry and had coffee.

We had lovely time here! A great central spot if you're into just having a base to float back to, or very relaxing if you wish to stay out. Even though there are roads either side, if you face your camp towards the trees it will feel quite private and with beautiful views! Loved hearing all the birds calling out in the morning and evening 😊
The site itself was nice and flat, but glad my partner had a 4WD as the track was a little rough at the gate. Would totally recommend though!

We stayed here on our way to Cape Jervis to catch the kangaroo island ferry the next morning and it was a great spot for that! Lovely and scenic, would recommend fly nets if you’re staying during the daytime but they seemed to only turn up while the sun was out so didn’t bother us too much for our overnight stay.

We loved swag camping at Kookaburra Rest Campsite. There was plenty of firewood easily accessible and a lovely fenced property for some bird watching and exploration.

My partner and I had a great time here! Such a beautiful spot to camp. It was very peaceful and had lots of amazing wildlife too. Highly recommend. Norm was so friendly and welcoming, plus feeding the alpaca’s was so much fun. Thanks Norm!

It's a beautiful spot, with lots of little birds. Being so close to Parawa Rd it wasn't as secluded as I was expecting. I didn't hear any cars through the night but we had about 10 an hour go by.
It's definitely nicer to have this spot to outselves rather than being bumper to bumper in a caravan park though.
Great location- close to Ingalla Falls, Deep Creek, Normanville and not too far from home for a quick getaway.

Private and plenty open space to explore with the kids. A welcome relief to the bisy caravan park. Nestled in a valley with native wildlife coming and going. Norm was great and the kids and adults enjoyed feeding the Alpacas. With Normanville, Victor and Deep Creek near by it was a good base for our adventure.

Our second trip here, we had some great weather at this beautiful bush location, our host Norm was so obliging, so close to Yankallila, Normanville.
Plenty of birdlife, very peaceful, highly recommended.

The place was all for us, which was nice, but we are a bit disappointed that most of the paddock was high grass so we couldn’t roam around. The area we camped on was on a slope, which was not comfortable. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this secluded campsite. The location is peaceful and private, nestled in a quiet valley with plenty of space to choose from.
Norm was incredibly welcoming. One of the highlights was getting the chance to meet and feed the alpacas, which was such a lovely experience.
We visited during the summer and had no trouble getting there in a two-wheel-drive vehicle. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Really beautiful property to camp on. I met Norm, he was really a gentle and kind host who pointed me in the right direction as I was a little lost.
Had a big camp fire and made friends with two little red breasted robins. Close to the road but barely any cars went past so not a problem.
Nestled off the main road but easy to get to.
A good little retreat with privacy. Thanks Norm.

Norm’s property on the Fleurieu Peninsula was secluded, green and packed with wildlife. We had the whole place to ourselves. It was a great weekend getaway. I wish we’d had more time to stay longer.

A lovely private spot for camping. Kids loved listening to the birds and chasing crickets. Nice and close to Ingallala Falls and Yankallila.
On the days we stayed it was quite hot and the cleared area for the campsite wasn’t shaded from about 9am to 4pm. The rest of the paddock had quite high grass (bit worried with the kids and snakes) and so we were a bit limited to staying in the slashed area with no shade - wouldn’t be an issue in cooler weather or if the paddock has recently been slashed.

Absolutely perfect place for us.
Central to the Fleurieu to explore in every direction and isolated enough from the sardine can caravan parks to feel you've escaped the rat race - and we had it all to ourselves!
An incredible amount of bird life and a few 'roos made it even better.

Absolutely beautiful location. Quiet and tucked away whilst still being within 10mins of town services.
Easy to find, and plenty of flat ground to set up on.
Wildlife was fantastic, as was the outlook.
