We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely. Bookings can be made via Hipcamp.com and more information via WikiCamp.com

We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Weekend Trip to Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

We had amazing experiences here on Sam and Chris' Noorla Farm : ) This was my first ever camp with my 2 boys and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Sam and Chris gave us the right advice and support to get us going as well as a lovely gift of eggs, homemade biscuits and sweets. We stayed at the Laneway and it was beautiful scenery and there was ever present nature including many species of bird calls that we awoke to in the morning, as well as the possums we spotted over night. There was also a kookaburra only a few meters from the tent, waiting in the morning. Sam and Chris very kindly helped us to pack up our new tent that we were struggling with. Quite unbelievable and unexpected. We were so lucky. And to totally cap it off we were treated to meeting all their animals, and my teenage boys got to gain many new experiences from patting camels to holding guinea pigs and collecting eggs. Chris had a great sense of humour when showing us around and was really present and giving of his time. Thank you so much Sam and Chris. We look forward to coming back again!

We had a wonderful time staying at Sam and Chris’s farm. We loved the Laneway. Fantastic shade with the lovely creek. It overlooked the cows. Sam and Chris introduced us to all their animals. We met the camels, cows, Guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and more. They were lovely to chat with and we will be back. We really appreciated the welcome basket and the voucher took us to the nearby winery of K1 wines. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. This was a big family gathering for us and we made fantastic memories from it thanks to their hospitality.

This spot is a lovely hidden gem. Surrounded by lush green trees and hillside for privacy, I would highly recommend. We even had a little visitor (koala) the first night. The only thing I would say is we found it very hard (with our 22.6ft off road van), to get out, due to a overhanging gum tree at the exit. It was mm from hitting. Other than that, highly recommend.

I was in camp 5, with only 1 other camper visible off in the distance. The space looking down towards Port Augusta is huge. Unfortunately it was 32 degrees and extremely windy, and was not comfortable at all. Loads of flies. Luckily the big old gum tree provided shade. Any walks were out of the question. Once the wind dropped and the flies disappeared it was a pleasant spot to relax in. The sunset was beautiful.

Lovely rural setting amongst established trees with a great view. Peaceful and quite, we had the place to ourselves. The best portaloo and shower set up I have seen and a thoughtful addition for campers who aren't self sufficient or don't want to poo in the van loo. Friendly and helpful hosts, we are lucky Hipcampers to have hosts like these!
