Located on Ramindjeri Country in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula, Alma’s Hem is a serene, private campground set by a winter creek on a working farm. Abundances of bird life, wildlife and big night skies. Pitch your tent, swag or park your RV. Less than 1km from the the Heysen trail, giving you easy access to hikes. 15 minute drive from Victor Harbor for all your shopping conveniences. 20 mins to the stunning Carrackalinga beaches; Kayaking the Second Valley caves and beautiful drives to waterfalls, conservation parks and tourist attractions. Campsite is located on level grassy area. Flushing toilets, fire pit and firewood available. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for small and larger groups. Please note we are in a transitional period, reducing our sites from 4 to 3, to make your camping experience more serene. If you’ve made a booking prior to 26 of April on Site 4, please don’t panic, your site still exists!! Also note that our property has work dogs who live nearby and love to visit guests. When you arrive there is a map located on the left had side of the driveway entrance with the sites marked. You are welcome to find your site and hosts will welcome you at some stage! Please contact us if you'd like to book for more guests than listed and we will do our best to accommodate. Campground has shared facilities and respect of each other and the land is critical. We are a leave no trace site, which means everything you bring in you must take with you, which includes rubbish and broken things. The bins at the entrance are for residents only and as they are only collected fortnightly cannot cater for more than those who live here. Firewood can be brought in by you or we will provide wood for $10/night per site. Wood is not to be foraged from adjoining scrub as it is Heritage listed and to be left for habitat, ecosystem and your admiration only! Look forward to crossing paths! Site 1 - The Nest
I stayed at site 1, it was amazing. The land is beautiful and it was so spacious. I stayed there solo & I felt super safe there. Cannot fault my stay.

Site 3 - The Vista Scrub
Beautiful view, spacious and campsites are quite seperate from each other. Quirky little finds when you go for a wander. Loved having a visit from the dogs who enjoyed chasing a stick and saying hello! Having toilets was a bonus and quite luxurious for camping. Rainwater tank, cute dam, plenty of spots to take a swat annd chill and camp kitchen to top it all off. Highly recommended. Had a great time with my daughter and will def return. Thank you 😊
