Vans larger than 18ft will need experienced drivers who have towed in tighter locations and know how the wheels track behind the tow vehicle. Larger vans will need to take care. Under 18ft vans will easily fit, but care also needed. Family hobby farm on six green acres in the historical town of Clarendon (Toondilla), just half an hour south of Adelaide. Set in a gully with a winter creek (Willow Creek) running through (dry in warmer months). Conveniently located within walking distance to the main street of Clarendon - five minutes to the Bakery and 10 minutes to the Royal Oak Hotel and General Store! The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk to the top paddock. There is a limit of 2 private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the morning and afternoon. Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Plenty of options in the area to keep the outdoor enthusiast busy, including: nearby wineries (some dog friendly), beaches (Moana and Aldinga/Silver Sands can be driven on), reservoirs (Mt Bold - hiking and views) and (Happy Valley - hiking, running, kayaking, fishing), Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation Park, ForestrySA land (including TreeClimb, Bone Gully MTB and parkrun on Saturdays at The Avenues - Kuitpo (Your host is the Event Director). Bakery, General Store, Clarendon Bowling Club, Riverbend Reserve, Op-shop and Emprades (antiques shop) and Royal Oak Hotel all in the mainstreet of town. There are showers, toilets, a free BBQ in the community park , mobile phone coverage and potable water available We are the closest campground to the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. Please do not go down the 4WD only road to Beltana, proceed to the bitumen Road and follow the signs. Beltana is a State Heritage listed town in Adnyamathanha country. Beltana is important as it is the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, was influential in the establishment of the Overland Telegraph and was important is the states early settlement. Beltana has survived in spite of the challenges and has an excellent walking trail detailing this history for visitors. There is capacity to have a fire in a communal fire pit, but please bring your own wood. Dogs on leashes welcome. This campsite offers a safe and comfortable place for campers who are travelling through on their holiday and need somewhere to stop overnight, but two nights is recommended to give you a chance to visit this historic town. The town is significant is South Australian history and there is interpretative signage that provides the visitor with an informative trail. Whilst with us visit the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. We have the closest camping facilities.

Super close to some of the best beaches in the state. A lovely peaceful place to stay in Victor Harbor, with lovely water views, well kept sites and very welcoming hosts. We loved the views, the amenities and also being in a quiet location a little out of the town. The hosts and the amenities were great and we highly recommend to others. .

This spot is a lovely hidden gem. Surrounded by lush green trees and hillside for privacy, I would highly recommend. We even had a little visitor (koala) the first night. The only thing I would say is we found it very hard (with our 22.6ft off road van), to get out, due to a overhanging gum tree at the exit. It was mm from hitting. Other than that, highly recommend.

We had a dog enclosure site (site 1) which was great. Dogs were Completely safe and we Could enjoy ourselves without worrying. The grounds were well maintained with beautiful green grass . The onsite caretaker and his wife were very helpful and courteous.

I absolutely loved my stay at Cooinda, so much so I booked again before I even packed up and left! I was on site 1 which was fantastic for my dogs as it is fully inclosed. Over the 4 nights I had a rotation of great friends come and stay and they too loved everything. Cooinda is so pretty, peaceful and spacious with great facilities. The grass is so lush and green and the view towards the ocean was lovely. Can't wait to my next trip!

Cooinda is a local favourite. Lovely owner and caretakers, well maintained campsites, convenient location and beautiful views. Give me this over a busy caravan park any day. Site 3b is spacious, flat and grassy so a very easy and relaxing place to set up and enjoy.
