This laid-back haven offers open farmland views, starlit skies, and the friendly vibe of a small coastal community. Watch the cows graze, stretch your eyes across wide paddocks, and breathe in the quiet. Across the road, stroll along the shoreline, launch a kayak, explore the reef, roll out your yoga mat, or cast in a fishing line. Further down the coast, discover surf breaks and secret fishing coves. Just a 10-minute drive away, the neighbouring township of Port MacDonnell invites you to grab a coffee, enjoy local fish & chips, or unwind by the jetty and playground.Overview We call it The Coastal Wedge — our little slice between land, sea, and community. There’s plenty of room to pull in and position yourself where you like. The open space is perfect for a gentle game of bocce or lawn bowls, or simply sitting back and enjoying the farm land views. Activities: Across the road, wander to the beach, watch the tide roll in, or explore nearby reef walks and rock pools. Cape Douglas is known for its fresh coastal air — breezy days are perfect for kite flyers and those who love the wind and waves. Birdwatchers will love it here too, with rare plovers and other coastal species nesting along the shoreline — bring your binoculars and tread gently. Good to Know This is a peaceful, small coastal township with friendly locals and a relaxed pace. It’s humble, it’s honest, and it’s real coastal living — the way small towns do best.

Amazing little spot! The site itself is very minimal but the areas around are just stunning! Kym was a great host and very helpful along the way

Thankyou Kym, I enjoyed my quiet little weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. I didnt realize this was an empty block, I thought it was a lawn area next to your house. I wouldnt have txt you so much about my eta If I realized you were not on site. Your neighbour was lovely, and thankyou for your local tips n tricks, they were very helpful. I spent three days exploring the area, a highlight seeing an Echidna. If I want another quiet weekend away from the bigsmoke I know where I can go (:

The Coastal Wedge
We had a wonderful stay at the Coastal Wedge! The location is superb! Beautiful views back to farmland & a short walk across the road to be on the beach with limitless walking opportunities! There was 4 of us, 1 campervan & 1 towed vintage caravan & we had the site to ourselves which was ideal! The local community are friendly, welcoming & even helped secure some awnings for us when we were out in high winds! Kym is a great host! Communication was easy & she even offered us fresh plums from her garden! The activities in the local precinct are unprecedented! Such a fabulous camp! Thank you Kym!

The Coastal Wedge
The photos on the listing have been very deliberately chosen to give the impression that this is a nice open space to set up a private camp. It is, in fact, a tiny little patch of grass wedged in between two small houses along a small strip of holiday homes. Might be alright for some but it's not what we were looking for and nothing like what the photos and description give the impression of. Honestly this really ruined the day for us, we had to search for somewhere else to camp and ended up setting up after 8pm in the dark with an extremely fed up and hungry toddler.
