Awesome, secluded spot away from everyone. Fresh flowing creek, plenty of space and levelled area. Don't expect to charge your batteries with sun during the winter months as it very shaded. These spots are why we love hip camp

An amazing spot, private and peaceful with a very welcome fire pit on a wet Kings Birthday weekend. Nothing but the sounds
Of the bush and the creek so relaxing. Sam the owner was easy to contact responding quickly to any queries we had. We look forward to visiting again in the warmer weather.

Merrimans Creek Seclusion… what a perfect name for this special piece of land.
I was searching for the nicest, most secluded camp site for a solo meditation retreat.. and boy did i find it. This camp is basically its own land, Sam’s lovely farm house is on the same property but quit a ways up the road which i only noticed upon exploring deeper into the forest. Trust me, it’s private. So much so that it is very rare to even see a car drive past!
The natural silence was spectacular. I cannot get over just how quiet the entire area was, the only sounds you will hear are from the river just metres from your camp and of course the local wildlife.
I cannot wait to return.

Merriman's Campground is a hidden gem for those seeking secluded off-grid camping. The beautiful river/creek that runs through the property provides a serene atmosphere and fresh water source. Winter camping was magical here - peaceful and picturesque. The isolation adds to the charm, making it perfect for nature lovers and those seeking solitude. Sam has a little slice of heaven here!! We had a wonderful Easter camping getaway. The Merriman’s river was really picturesque and good for a splash n dip. Great flat land to pitch our tents, an awesome dedicated fire pit, secluded campsite all to ourselves and beautiful sounds of birds and running water from the stream. Can’t fault it. Thanks Sam! We would come again for sure.

My partner and I absolutely loved this place. So private and tranquil with the relaxing sounds of the flowing creek and native birds. The camp ground is set on a large flat green space surrounded by trees and a large cliff face, with the creek running around the outside. Loved sitting by the fire and creek as well as exploring the surrounding nature. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks so much for having us Sam, we will certainly be coming back! :)

Merrimans Camp Ground
We just spent the long weekend at this camp with a group of 10 (5 vehicles and 5 caravans). We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the camp and surrounds especially a great couple of morning walks in each direction. The camp is very private and surrounded by the creek on 3 sides with various access points which are reasonably easy to navigate. There is a great big fire pit and we were able to collect plenty of firewood ourselves. The communication with Sam was excellent and he was even flexible with a later check out which was appreciated.

This has to be my favourite hip camp we have visited.
The creek runs right around and sets a beautiful calming mood, plenty of space for kids and dogs to play.
We found some light 4x4 tracks to explore around the area as well.

We had an awesome weekend at Merrimans Camp Ground! Beautiful, hidden piece of land with Merrimans creek running around the camp site, we had 2 vans setup and there was room for many more. Bit too cold for the kids to have a paddle this weekend but it would be perfect when it’s hot! Had a crack at fishing but no luck this time, it rained most of the weekend but we still enjoyed the property! The host was very helpful and polite! This property really is a gem, 1 booking only site so completely private and it’s all yours! We already plan to make many more trips here!

This campsite was an absolute gem!
Getting there was a breeze—access was straightforward, with clear directions and well-maintained roads leading right to the site. Once there, we were impressed by how spacious it was. There was plenty of room to set up camp, park vehicles, and even enjoy activities without feeling crowded.
The area was private and well-protected, it was neat and tidy with the owners take pride in maintaining it, with no litter or overgrown areas in sight. Everything felt organized and cared for, which added to the overall experience.
In short, this campsite ticked all the boxes—natural beauty, convenience, space, privacy, and cleanliness. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil and hassle-free outdoor adventure!

Great spot located down a quiet country road. Gorgeous creek flowing around the whole campsite. Fit our three vans nicely and the kids had a great time exploring the creek. Visited Wilson’s Prom and nearby towns during our stay.

Merrimans Camp Ground
We had a great long weekend camping at Merriman's Creek Seclusion. A large space bounded on 3 sides by tall timbers and on 2 sides by Merriman's creek. Worked well as a campsite on a hot day - splashed in the creek- and on a cooler one, when it was just fun to enjoy the peace and listen to the birds. Also had an unexpected visit from a koala.

Sam’s campground was serene, quiet, and private - great communication from him and very clear directions on how to get there.
A beautiful river / creek wraps around the campground, mostly quite shallow but there are some parts you can swim and float in. Just be careful as the rocks are very slippery.
There was an abundance of bird wildlife that my friends and i really enjoyed, i saw birds that i had never seen before !
Would definitely love to stay here again in the future !

If you love being able to camp with your pups, campfire, unlimited space for camper car set ups, no stress about being too loud, and beautiful land surrounding you then this is your haven. We had the best time with a big group celebrating a birthday in which Sam gave super clear directions to the site so 0 out of 6 cars got lost even with no reception! Bring enough water and fire wood to sustain you for days because you won't want to leave.
