Bushy Ridge Hideaway
We loved staying at Bushy Ridge. The place was very clean and private with lovely views. The camping area is grassed and not dusty gravel. Feeling isolated but having power and water was amazing.
Communication and directions given from host were great, would recommend Bushy Ridge.

Great hosts and a great site to sit, relax and surround yourself with some beautiful aussie bush for a few days. Having water and power is a big plus along with not being that far from Melbourne. If your looking for a quick getaway and you from that part of the world I would definately recommend this Hipcamp and we will happily visit there again in the future.

Our Bushy Ridge Experience
We loved Bushy Ridge and would really recommend it as somewhere to go to get away from it all. The site conveniently has power and water as well as a fire pit with wood available by request. The hosts were really helpful but left us alone to enjoy the space. We would have loved to have stayed longer but unfortunately inclement weather forced us to leave. We hope to return sometime in the future. Thanks Melissa.

Beautiful spot, very peaceful and lots of space to spread out. Gorgeous bush land on the property and glimpses of stunning views. Would recommend the Yea spur walk too, it was spectacular

Bushy Ridge Hideaway
Such a lovely place to camp. Really blissful. Awesome to have water and electricity. Really private and dog friendly. There were some dogs we could hear from neighbouring properties barking a bit so if this would trigger your dog, perhaps not the best location.
Otherwise would highly recommend! And visiting Yea and the nearby Cheviot tunnel is also great if you have time.

Natural Setting
We took a small van there and it was the perfect spot. Nice natural setting and felt like we were miles from civilization we would highly recommend this hipcamp. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful

We had a very pleasant stay at Bushy Ridge easily fitted our 21ft caravan onto the site .

Stumpy Tail Ridge
Second stay at Stumpy Tail Ridge, as enjoyable as the first. Power and water the benefit for this location, a 20mt extension lead is required. Also the ground is very rocky, bring heavy duty pegs and groundsheet to protect your tent.

We had a lovely nice get away at a beautiful spot. Went for a nice walk with our dog and spotted a wombat, wallabies, kangaroos, and deer. And of cause got laughed at by a kookaburra😁

Bushy Ridge Hideaway
Perfect!
This is such a beautiful property! We camped with 2 children and the highlights for them were feeding and visiting the animals and bushwalking. So much to explore and despite the rain, we managed to make the most of breaks in it. Definitely one of my favourite locations and having power and water are added bonuses. We will be back!

Above & beyond
This was our second time staying at bushy ridge. It was a trip for my 30th, and it was the perfect peaceful getaway. Melissa even brought me a bundle of beautiful native flowers for my birthday. Truly above and beyond what we would have anticipated. Having power and water also makes a huge difference (and affordable pricing). We will absolutely be back 🥰

Bushy Ridge Hideaway
Little Easter Getaway 🐶
Was a lovely secluded camping site, with lots of open space for our dogs to run around, with pretty much 360 degree views of gumtrees!
Despite feeling you were secluded, you could hear highway traffic during the day and night, however did not take away from the location.
Melissa was very helpful and always willing to help out and offer suggestions.

Bushy Ridge Hideaway
Powered site a plus!
When booking we always look for a property that has privacy for us and our 2 dogs and we found that with Bushy Ridge. Melissa the host provided so much info, and when we arrived in the dark it made it so easy to find the property with the directions provided. There was power to the site which was an added bonus as we usually go completely off grid. Despite the wind & rain we experienced over the weekend stay it was super relaxing and would love to come back again.

Stumpy Tail Ridge
Very well setup bush camping with v
We thoroughly enjoyed our very peaceful and relaxing weekend away at stumpy Tail Ridge.
Melissa provided a great deal of info before the stay, and also reached out on the first night with some further information.
As per hipcamp reminders, make sure you download an offline copy of Melissa's Maps and info before heading off. The roads around the site had no phone reception, so had to do from memory! (Phone reception on the camp site ridge is all good).
Stumpy Tail Ridge is well maintained, with a large flat grass area with access to fresh water and power if required, and toilets are in the process of being set up. The west end drops down to uneven bushland with a smaller area more suitable for a camper trailers or off road caravan that provides a nice shady area for setting up - as we did.
Walking into the bushland, you will find heaps of fallen branches and logs for firewood for the provided fire pit.
Melissa has done a fantastic job of making Stumpy Tail Ridge a great place and stay for any type of camper.

Peaceful & private
Directions were easy to follow and there’s ample signage upon arrival. We really loved the privacy of this spot. Having power and water made it even that much better! Bird watching in the morning was a highlight for us. It was great to be able to bring our dog along & to go for some long walks nearby (which the host has graciously written out recommendations for). Melissa is a superb host, welcoming, and kind. Thank you so much for having us! We already booked another trip back to Bushy Ridge and can’t wait ☺️

We had a wonderful stay - the site has fantastic views, it is lovely and private and Melissa is a wonderful host. She gave us some great local tips and left us to enjoy the serenity and views. The site is flat and the ground was good, even after heavy rains.
