Site 2 The Big Tree
We had a really good stay at this Hipcamp. The site is surrounded by beautiful trees, and there’s a small creek right next to it — falling asleep to the sound of running water was honestly one of the highlights.
The grounds are green and well-kept, and even though it was a long weekend and quite busy (we saw around 7 groups in total), our area only had about 3 sites, so it still felt spacious and private. We never felt crowded.
Facilities were better than expected. There are two toilets — one drop toilet and one flush toilet — and both were quite clean, which made a big difference for comfort.
There’s also a fire pit provided, and the owner kindly supplied some wood. If you’re planning a longer fire, it’s a good idea to bring or prepare some hardwood as well.
Overall, a really solid camping experience — peaceful, well-organised, and comfortable. Would definitely come back 👍

Trent’s camping spots are very good. Once you drive past the house and sheds it opens up to nice camping areas. We stayed on Site 5 which is very close to the creek. Options for games and trampoline on site along with fishing and site seeing. We would stay again.

We had a lovely weekend at the Water Hole. We had the quiet corner all for ourselves and it was nice to enjoy the gentle breeze and the sound of the creek nearby. True bush camping and farm feeling with the cows and llamas around. Trent is a true gentleman and a pleasure to chat with. Thanks Trent!

Spent a night at the horseshoe bend camp, which we had to ourselves. Facilities were great and the owners very friendly. Nice stargazing to be had and plenty of birdlife around.

We loved spending the night at Trent’s property. It’s perfect if you want to disconnect in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees, right next to a river, and full of animals! Trent and his son were lovely. We’ll definitely be back!

Site was not as per photos, lots of sites on a small block. No privacy as other vehicles constantly drove right past our van and only 20 metres from owners house. Would not stay again.

Great spot next to the stream. Lovely to sit in and cool off on a very hot summer weekend. Afternoon shade was wonderful . Trent was very welcoming.

I had an amazing time, beautiful creek going through next to every site. The photos didn’t do it justice, amazing atmosphere and very dog friendly, my puppy had a great time off leash with the other dogs and the water fall is beautiful and just up the road.
I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Amazing Hipcamp with a fabulous friendly host. Incredible relaxing weekend. All dogs were running around socialising, the little river running through had fresh water crays. Trent was the most friendly Hipcamp host we’ve met.

The kids loved the trampoline and little water slide into the creek.
We love the absolute serenity of the site. Gorgeous.

Such a beautiful spot , really felt away from it all. Trent was so lovely and welcoming. Lots of beautiful birdlife , sounds of the river. Fanciest long drop we've come across! Definitely recommend and will be back!

Had a great few days sitting by the creek listening to the water work its way through the rocks. Well maintained sites, long drop was super clean and well maintained. Trent was great and really easy going. We’ll be back.

Overall it was just okay. We didn't end up staying at the site we booked, Trent moved us to the Salvadore Island site. Whilst the actual site had been mowed recently (2 -3 weeks ago at a guess) the grass around the rest of the property was long, there were lots of old machinery, vehicles, portable buildings around so we had concerns being summer and snakes. The view to the creek was hidden with long grass, blackberries etc. Even the communal areas were unkempt. The long drop toilet whilst it looked great, was close to full. We had our own toilet so it wasn't an issue. In the end we packed up a day early and headed home, partly due to the whole experience not being what we had hoped. Would want to see newer photos before considering staying here again. Overall the property needs work and a good tidy up, but has potential.

Incredible creek view and trees! Trent was a lovely host, checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable.
Place is easy to find and plenty of little outdoor games in the area such as darts and tennis ball on a sling!
Beautiful creek and pinchies! *fresh water cray fish or yabbies* came out to say hello :)
Dunny was very thoughtful with amenities and close by to site 5!

What a lovely place. Trent is such a friendly and helpful host. It was a well-kept property with our site being a lovely grassed area, which was recently mown/slashed; and had direct access to the river; which all helped to give us a peaceful and restful stay. We also loved having the friendly alpacas on the property.

We stayed at site 7 for a couple of nights and absolutely loved it! Nice and peaceful, plenty of distance from other campers (which was excellent for our training dog) and the creek was great to swim in and even just sit by with a campfire going.
Trent is a legend of a bloke, very kind and hospitable. He keeps the facilities very well cleaned and maintained. We will definitely be back to stay many times in the future. Would definitely recommend this spot.

The land is quite lovely - along the creek and lots of beautiful trees and birds, overall we had a good, peaceful stay.
Unfortunately we didn't receive any information regarding check in, facilities, site location etc. We managed to find our site using the map at the entrance but it wasn't on the creek as advertised. It would have been helpful to see some numbers on the sites. Sites 1 and 7 look to have best creek access.

It was nice and peaceful. We enjoyed listening to the creek. Handy having the drop toilet also.
We ended up in a different spot to the one we booked ( booked site 7 ended up at Miners) due to it being very wet and muddy and the new spot was much more suitable for us with our caravan.
Little confusing when we got there, no one was there and no instructions. Trent did answer his phone and direct us when we called and called back later to check we were ok.
We appreciated the later “checkout” Trent allowed us to have so that we had time to dry off our stuff, unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there. Also appreciated the fire wood bought down by Trent, we tried to have a fire but the weather wasn’t obliging.
We would stay again.

We tent camped at Salvador Island and it was great! Soft grass and flat land only 10-20 metres from the creek. We had a fire, we purchased wood ourselves. The drop dunny was very clean and comfortable!
