Nestled in the picturesque Macedon Ranges, an easy drive from Melbourne, our property Taloumbi is set on 10 acres of unique bushland populated with native grasses, ancient grass trees, indigenous wildflowers, wattles and eucalypts. Guests can look out for kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and echidnas, whilst relaxing in the comfort of our cosy boho bell tent. Our 5 metre bell tent has a queen bed with quality linen, electric blanket, bean bag lounge chairs, floor rugs, heater, fan, WiFi, bluetooth speaker, coffee machine, kettle with a selection of teas, mini fridge, crockery, cutlery, glassware and towels. The private bathrooom is located in our rustic house less than 50 metres away (via an independent entrance). It includes a toilet, shower (over a bath) and a vanity, with fluffy towels and essential toiletries. An à la carte vegetarian or vegan breakfast with "tent service" is included. We had a fantastic time here! Jonathan and Jennifer were so lovely and welcoming, and do a mean vegan breakfast! The bell tent had everything we needed including board games, a coffee machine, and a mini fridge. There's also a table and chairs outside of the tent so we relaxed out there with a bottle of wine. We loved seeing the local wildlife that they care for too. Will be back again!

A Kangaroo Paradise

I found this listing after some google searching for a glamping adventure for my partner and I during Valentine's day. The listing looked fantastic. Communication from booking was prompt and they were very helpful in letting me know what was provided. Fast forward and the place was exactly as advertised. We went on a cooler day which was a nice way to spend the day inside from the elements (especially since they preheated the tent worrying, we would be cold). The tent was cosy, with power and other amenities, all wrapped up in a charming decor. A separate, private bathroom was also provided. We made ourselves a bbq and all utensils were provided. The optional tent-service breakfast was treat, with an order form and a number of delicious options. We got the opportunity to spend some time with the hosts as they showed us how they run their wildlife reserve for roos. We even got to see some roos up close and personal from a respectable and safe distance. The hosts had a lot of insight to share not only on kangaroos but other nearby sites worth a visit while you're in the area. They are lovely to chat with so it was a blast! Overall if you are looking for a nice getaway with a touch of creature comforts, I would highly recommend this place.

Brilliant glamping!

We had the most beautiful time glamping here! The tent was perfect, it was a cold and rainy night so we put on the heater and electric blankets and it was so cosy and warm. The breakfast in the morning was great, and the best part was the kangaroo sanctuary which was gorgeous. I would highly recommend! We will definitely be back.

Amazing experience! Jonathan was very welcoming and offered incredible service and great tips on activities in the area. Really appreciate the fact that they offer refuge to kangaroos in the area. Tent was beautiful and offered everything we needed.

Best glamping experience so far!

Absolutely incredible! The (complementary) breakfasts were amazing and the tent was decorated beautifully. The heater, electric blankets and coffee machine were very much appreciated in the cold weather. We would love to come back in the summer and use the pool. The free roaming kangaroos (that welcome pats!) were an added perk!

I loved every bit of the glamping experience :) Jonathan and Jennifer were lovely hosts! The tent was very comfortable and cozy, and being surrounded by kangaroos was just amazing! 10/10 would come back again!

Absolutely beautiful to say the least! Such a stunning place to spend the weekend! The tent was amazing and had everything we could ever need. It was comfortable and warm and so many home touches we’re made that were greatly appreciated. The outdoor area was lovely too with the fire going and pizzas in the oven. The hosts were beautiful and welcoming and we will definitely be coming back many times in the future! ❤️

The best glamping

What a beautiful stay! Such lovely hosts, with amazing breakfast and the tent has everything you need plus with a view. Seeing the little kangaroos was a nice bonus too. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Camping with Kangaroo's!

This site was beautiful on a hill in the Macedon ranges. The hosts, incredible people, care for rescued kangaroos onsite. They have a small mob that hangs around the property and lounge on the patio in the morning and the evening. There are also babies that have recently been rescued and are being raised until they can make it on their own. It was such a pleasure seeing the roos so close and learning so much from Jonathan and Jennifer about them. The tent itself was beautiful and has so many thoughtful things inside. For example we forgot bug spray and there was a can there waiting for us. Coffee, tea, a little dinnette and extra blankets. Hope this review helps!
