This is our third stay and this time we took the whole extended family for Easter. Beautiful setting, caring hosts and high quality amenities. Suited our group with the option of staying in the flat for the non campers in the family. Starlit nights around the campfire and being able to have our dogs close by, safe to run around made it memorable. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing, 90 acres hidden in Mt Martha. Last minute booking over the Easter weekend, Michelle was amazing opening up a site for us. When we arrived she was sooo welcoming and showed us our site. Then dropped us off some firewood. Would highly recommend to stay here and we will be back.

3 nights at Clancy Springs, South Gippsland

We absolutely loved our stay at Kangaroo Rise! The hosts Adrian and Sandy were wonderful and welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Their property is beautifully presented and they work very hard to make sure everyone can enjoy their experience. The camp kitchen is impressive with a toilet and shower at back and both are spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The camping area has a great sense of space, we didnt feel too close to anyone, we could enjoy the views around us, and those views are spectacular! It was great to see the wildlife around the property too. If you have children, they will love looking for koalas, seeing kangaroos, a variety of native birds and the wedge tailed eagles are so majestic. The property is away from the road, and provides a peaceful, tranquil escape. It is also in close proximity of Leongatha and Inverloch for day trips out or supply runs. I cannot fault the property and we truly loved our time there. Our doggo was able to relax in the fully fenced camping area and enjoy the space and the smells. Pepper loved her stay! We look forward to another visit soon and will recommend this destination to everyone. Theres is also a two bedroom, beautiful, sparkling clean and modern unit to stay in as an option. Its truly such a magnificent property to enjoy. Thank you both Adrian and Sandy for a wonderful time at Kangaroo Rise!!

Wow wow wow, excellent getaway high up on the Allambee plantation area. Susan was an amazing host all amenities were available for us. Definitely will be back.

5 nights at Clancy Springs, South Gippsland

Another great stay at Kangaroo Rise with our young boys for 5 nights. As always, Adrian and Sandy were so welcoming and Adrian took time out of his busy day to fix our son’s bike. Thank you, can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Gilwell Park Adventure Centre

We booked last minute and camped at the bottom of get hill at C01, close to toilet/showers. Great facilities and heaps of space. We were the only ones there all weekend (during April school holidays) that weren’t with a scout group. It’s 460 acres of bush with loads of hikes and activities for kids including an approx 2km ‘ninja warrior’ style challenge that was a great way to take the legs out of the kids at the end of the day. They only just started advertising this on Hipcamp, expect it will fill up as people find out about it. Theres creeks and streams, a small lake to swim in, friendly staff, bouldering, giant see-saws, tightrope walking, bike tracks, etc etc, I could go on all day. Recommend 👌

A picturesque spot on the hill with beautiful views of the bush and farms. With an immaculate shower and toilet, plus a camp kitchen and power in demand it’s the ideal spot to relax or use as a base for the nearby beach towns. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to make it a great stay. In short, we loved it!

Weekend Trip to Clancy Springs, South Gippsland

This is the loveliest spot to camp less than 2 hours drive from Melbourne. A fenced, sheltered paddock with access to power and water if needed and the recent addition of a well appointed kitchen with adjoining shower and toilet. Clean and well maintained. Numbers are limited to 4 so everyone has space. The highlight for me was the most hospitable of hosts in Adrian and the availability of a fire pit on request. Plenty to do nearby during the day. Venus Beach and nature walks followed by a winery lunch at one of the numerous vineyards in the area. Notable mentions are the appearance of kangaroos every evening, birdsong and stars to see at night. Thanks Adrian and Sandy

Guests can enjoy a quiet afternoon drink around the jetty pond or try your angling skills with the Bass & Silver Perch. Keep an eye out for the local koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, & more.If you're really lucky you may even spot a Fallow Deer down by the edge of the bush. Enjoy star gazing , bird watching and the magnificent sunset in this peaceful setting. Activities in the area include swimming in the tranquil clear blue waters of Anderson Inlet, Inverloch or the beautiful surf beach of Venus Bay. Visiting amazing wineries & farmers markets, fishing at Anderson Inlet, Walkerville & Shallow Inlet & walking or riding your pushy along the Great Southern Rail Trail. We're close to Phillip Island & one of Victoria's largest coastal wilderness areas, Wilsons Prom. We are also only 9 mins from Leongatha Golf Course, regarded as one of the best in Sth Gippsland.
