Easily explore all of the Mornington Peninsulas coastline, wineries, hot springs and nature walks. The Vibe and Location : Surrounded by indigenous grass trees and native bushland, private and situated high up on the hill to capture filtered sunrises and sunsets. Lots of friendly kangaroos and bird life! Easily accessed making it a perfect base to relax and also explore the Mornington Peninsula Region. 10 minute walk to Kings Falls, 10 minutes drive to McCrae beach, Arthur’s Seat and Red Hill and 20 minutes drive to the world famous Peninsula Hot Springs. Whether you’re here for beach days, bushwalks, good food or a relaxing soak, there’s plenty to enjoy around the Mornington Peninsula. Here are a few local favourites to help you make the most of your stay. Beaches, bushwalks and beautiful views - Kings Falls: A lovely local bushwalk, starting from the Kings Falls car park on Waterfall Gully Road. Allow about an hour to explore the fern-lined gullies and seasonal waterfall. There are hills and steps, so bring sturdy shoes. - McCrae Beach: Our favourite local beach—pack a picnic, enjoy the sand and take a wander past McCrae Lighthouse. - Rosebud Beach and Pier: An easy choice for a relaxed afternoon, with a foreshore playground, picnic spots and the Bay Trail for walking or cycling. - Arthurs Seat and Seawinds Gardens: Enjoy bay views, garden walks and a picnic, or take the Eagle gondola above the treetops. - A little further afield: Try the Red Hill Rail Trail for a countryside walk, Millionaire’s Walk for coastal views near Sorrento, or Cape Schanck for dramatic ocean scenery. Good food and local supplies - The Pig & Whistle, Main Ridge: A favourite for a relaxed family pub meal and outdoor dining. - Alatonero, McCrae: Greek food opposite the beach—an appealing way to finish a beach day. - Pizza Luna: A local option for an easy pizza night back at camp. - Zero95, Dromana: Another family favourite for pizza and pasta. - Main Ridge Dairy: A lovely stop for cheese lovers. - Merricks Store: A breakfast suggestion if you’re heading out to explore. - Waterfall Gully Cellars & General Store and Waterfall Gully Fruit & Veg: Local stops for groceries and fresh supplies. Unwind or make a day of it For a relaxing outing, book a soak at Peninsula Hot Springs, whose Bath House welcomes all ages. Alba Thermal Springs & Spa and Aurora Spa & Bathhouse in Sorrento are also options for a pampering day. Check each venue’s packages and age policies before booking. For a leisurely food and wine outing, try Foxeys Hangout, Polperro, Montalto or Pt. Leo Estate. Combine a visit to Pt. Leo Estate with its Sculpture Park, or head to St Andrews Beach Brewery for a casual brewery outing. Arrange a designated driver if you’re tasting. Something for the adventurous Enchanted Adventure at Arthurs Seat is a fun outing for families and active adults. Tree Surfing offers obstacles and ziplines among the trees; check age and height requirements when booking. An easy weekend idea Spend your first day exploring Kings Falls, followed by lunch and an afternoon at McCrae Beach. On day two, enjoy the views at Arthurs Seat, then choose a hinterland lunch or a hot springs soak before returning to camp. Check current opening hours, bookings and park conditions before setting out, especially during holidays. We stayed at Saltwood for the weekend and it was magical. Tessa and Sam are wonderful hosts, the sites are private and quiet and the bushland surrounding them is full of birds and wildlife. The shower and toilet was clean and the water runs hot. There is also a mini kitchen area with a toaster, kettle and microwave. My daughters enjoyed using the hammocks and wooden go karts down the hill. But the star of the show was the flying fox!!! Hours of fun was had. We were sad to leave and will be making this a regular camping experience, being an hour away from home it’s easy to pack up and get away from it all whenever the weather is good. Thanks Sam and Tessa - see you soon.

My girlfriend and I were here to celebrate our anniversary and we wouldn’t have had it a different way! The area was well secluded with a top notch glamping tent. We were able to explore the area with everything being pretty well within 10 minutes of the camper, it made life even easier. I highly recommend this glamper and property!

As soon as we arrived at the campsite, we were greeted by Tessa’s partner, Sam who showed us around the campsite and all the facilities around. He even built us a fire - peak hospitality!! The campground felt private and somewhat sheltered. We also enjoyed the hikes nearby which are in walkable distance from the campground. We would love to be back 😊

Absolutely amazing, features several campsites all with wonderful views. Has a fully accessible toilet block with flushing toilets and a shower. Has a nice entertainment room, which would be amazing for a family plenty of seating and a table tennis table, the hosts were simply incredible we arrived later than ideal got our campsite and shown the ropes then went out for dinner (where on the drive not even a minute away from the property saw an echidna waddling off the road). Recommended a place nearby which was sadly shut when we arrived however they went above and beyond and booked us a table at another Greek style restaurant. So glad we found Tessa's and Sam's property we will definitely come back.

We made a very late and last minute booking to camp here after doing a twilight session at the hot springs. The owners were very friendly and the land is beautiful and spacious! My partner unfortunately woke up very poorly so we had to go home early the following day but Tessa had been so helpful with sending recommendations for the Peninsula and we will definitely be back to visit! Would 100% recommend!

Site was in a great location, close to waterfalls and a short drive to the Enchanted Adventure. The use of the family home's bathroom made the stay super convenient with a child. Finally, the daily visits from the family dog was a highlight for us.

This was a gem of a find! 35 acres down Mornington Peninsula, so it felt connected to nature and away from the daily grind, whilst having amenities close. The property is close to Two Bays walking trail and the Pig and Whistle Tavern, so perfect for a hike and beer by the fire. Tessa and Sam were fab hosts and it was a really smooth stay. Highly recommend if you like to camp away from the crowds.

Camping on Tessa and Sam's property was a lovely experience. The hosts were super welcoming and friendly. Bonus points for the cute little dog basil who came and joined us for breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a beautiful spot to camp around the Mornington Peninsula area!
