We absolutely loved our stay here. The campsite and the whole property are gorgeous. I personally loved falling asleep surrounded by all the sounds of nature - I found it incredibly peaceful and soothing. The two paddocks, little bridge, lake and all the small details add so much charm. My son especially loved the swing and seeing all the farm animals. Nik went above and beyond to make our stay special. He included my son in feeding the sheep, chickens and horses, and collecting fresh eggs, which he absolutely loved. Seeing his excitement was honestly priceless, and I know these are memories that will stay with him for a very long time. Nik was also incredibly responsive, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Such a beautiful and peaceful place, and a really special experience for us. We would absolutely love to come back again!

Overall the location was nice, the spot was scenic and enjoyable. Our host was quick to respond and flexible and accomodating. But it is totally not cool to book for 2 nights and to be woken up both mornings 1st morning by death metal, the next morning by techno both at the ungodly hour of 6.30 being blasted out by the tradies they had working there, I get the need to get work done, but we found it highly inconsiderate to not request them to keep the music down or off until 9am. Its not that hard.

Lovely picturesque setting, Nicholas was kind enough to let my 5yo niece feed the gorgeous lambs and was very welcoming. We would definitely return.

We had an outstanding camping stay! The host, Nic, was incredibly supportive and responsive throughout. This place is a hidden gem—beautiful surroundings and perfect for kids. Everything was peaceful and well-maintained. At the last minute, my portable battery went flat, and Nic kindly helped me charge it. Without that help, packing up would have been a nightmare—really appreciated! The amenities are excellent and definitely worth the money you pay. We’ll absolutely be coming back again.

Perfect spot to watch the stars at night, very close to Trentham falls and still had mobile data! Definitely would come back again. Loved the selection of animals around, especially the roosters and chickens that paid us a visit.

Our family loved camping at Nik’s property. The garden was so beautiful and the farm animals were so nice to see. The kids - 6 and 2- loved it the most! Nik was also lovely. Our 6 year old wants to go back so we will be visiting again soon.

Back again!

We had such a great time at Nik's land two years ago, that we are back again and brought friends along. Magical place as usual, the tranquility and beautiful scenery within an hour's drive of Melbourne. Having a campfire is the icing on the cake for the kids. We will be back again, thanks Nik!

Very lovely farm and wonderful hotsts. Even with our bad luck choosing the wetest week of the year we still highly enjoyed our stay! Very much appreciate the hot water bottles to keep us toasty warm at night.

Peaceful, private and beautiful

We had such a relaxing and peaceful two nights here. Nic was an amazing host. The weekend was cold, windy and raining but we managed to stay toasty thanks to the firewood on offer and the fact that the site was quite sheltered from the wind. Nic also dropped off some hot water bottles which made a huge difference! The property is beautiful and there's heaps of space between the sites so it feels really private. The location is fantastic, being so close to Trentham, Daylesford, etc. We're already planning our next trip here. Highly recommend.

Camping under the stars

We stayed at the Old Orchard site and it was private and peaceful, with a nice fire pit to help get us through the cold night. Nik was very hospitable, greeting us warmly as we arrived and showing us where the toilet was and where our camping site was. He even kindly offered us to stay in the guest cottage if we got too cold. We slept under a full moon and a sky full of stars. 2 cute goats, chickens and ducks were our friendly neighbours. We had a lovely night camping and would highly recommend Nik’s place for your next camping trip.

Camping in comfort

We loved camping on Nik’s property near the lake. The property is beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens, chickens and sheep. We enjoyed a camp fire each night, toasting marshmallows which Nik kindly offered us. We liked having access to a flushing toilet and a laundry sink, a short walk from the campsite (with the path between well lit at nighttime). We were the only tent by the lake, and there were a couple of caravaners in a back paddock (which we could see but not hear). The property is located a short drive from the Pig and Whistle pub (with a great beer garden), and a short drive from Trentham town centre with a well stocked grocer. Would highly recommend Nik’s property.

Great space, could use more signage. We arrived in the dark so perhaps missed some but we couldn’t find the toilet during the day. Would recommend for a serene, quiet space, with access to a fire.

Such a beautiful property, Nik was a pleasure to deal with, making sure we arrived and showed us around, great location close to Trentham, visited a few towns and a local gin distillery…. loved our stay with sheep, chickens and goats …..and our fire pit kept us warm to share a few laughs with our friends …. just a perfect get away 🙏🏻

It's a good spot for families and first-time campers. Nic was very supportive and welcomed us to show around the farm. The property is very well-maintained. All camping blocks are very roomy and have privacy from each other. We will go back again.

I recently stayed at this beautiful campsite near a lake, and it was an incredible experience. The views were breathtaking, and the peaceful ambiance made it the perfect getaway.
