We loved the love shack cabin, beautiful view of the farm and loved meeting cows. Very peaceful place to visit. The host Kate is very hospitable and will be back.

Kate and T were fantastic hosts and we loved the love shack. The location at the bottom end of the Tara Valley is great, very quiet with stunning views. Highly recommended for intimate getaways or for larger groups.

Tarra Love Shack camping
The camping site and the shack is absolutely fabulous, very clean neat site, nicely maintained grassland , a secure shed for dogs and fabulous river side tranquil location
The hosts Kate and her family is just fantastic and always there to guide and help
It give a blend of rustic camping with civility so it’s an ultimate semi glamping
There is lot of space of tents and play area for kids; the big gum tree is a bonus provide shade and shelter

Great stay!
The love shack provided a beautiful getaway from hustle and bustle. While small, the shack provided everything we needed for a few nights stay, including a great kitchen and bbq area. Surrounded by beautiful green-rolling hills and close to the the stunning Tarra-Bulga National park, the shack is a highly recommended destination.

A wonderful place to be 💕 🌲
Arrived to beautiful rolling hills covered in green grass and a lit fire inside to welcome us. Kate was so lovely and accomodating. The cows were super cute and inquisitive and I loved having no reception. It was a rejuvenating private getaway. Thank you!

The Love Shack is our new favourite place! Stunning surrounds, beautifully relaxing and thoughtful set-up of the shack, incredible communication and instructions from Kate. We had such a wonderful weekend that we didn’t want to leave and booked an extra night at the last moment. Tarra Bulga National Park is sooo lush!! My partner is a photographer and there was not shortage of content. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

We loved our stay at Kate's place! The shack was the perfect place to decompress for the weekend. We especially loved the indoor fireplace and the small details (scented candles and beautiful decor). Kate and her family were super welcoming and kind during our visit too. We also purchased firewood and had more than enough during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay Kate!

A beautiful spot!
The Tarra Valley is a very beautiful place and the cabin is set up for a very relaxing getaway. The wood heater keeps you warm even on the coolest of nights and the kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious food.My favorites we're the curious cows that hang out near the cabin and the kookuburras singing every morning and afternoon.

Perfect getaway
Fabulous cosy stay at the Love Shack. Perfect for a winter getaway with our little pup. We haven’t stayed during the summer but intend to come back. Host Kate was brilliant. Very responsive and welcoming and made sure we had all we needed. Would highly recommend this as a top stay for anyone considering it!!! Thanks Kate for having us!

Such a beautiful and peaceful setting. We really enjoyed our stay at the love shack. We stayed here with our children and dog, together with our tent the shack offered the perfect balance between camping and home comforts.

Love Shack Living ❤️
What a lucky find.It was more than we had hoped for.The shack was very comfortable and well equipped, the scenery picture perfect, the hosts welcoming and we loved the cows roaming by.3 nights wasn't enough we all need more of the love shack living in our lives.Helpful hint If you need your phone Optus had no reception,but Telstra was fine but do yourself a favour and unplug.Enjoy

Kate was very accommodating. Perfect for pitching up our two tents whilst our friends with a new born stayed in the cabin. Toilet flushed with a motion detection light. Kitchen fully equipped with two stove tops, a grill, toaster & a kettle. Even had a full set of sharp knives, bbq equipment, cheese board, chopping boards, pots, pan etc. Had plenty of outdoor sitting areas either the four seat table under cover or a six seat table option a little further out from the cabin. There's also an bbq with utensils, an outside firepit you can use, a little washing line & an outside tap / hose. Next to the cabin is a separate undercover area outside for bigger groups / overflow use which includes an outside sink, a fridge & an additional bbq for hire. Very relaxing trip away. Great location for local hikes at the National Park too.

We were looking for some peace and quiet out in the country and this was ideal. There were a couple of other sites, so far away we would not have heard anyone. The hosts were very nice, in fact perfect. We loved the timid but friendly cattle, sometimes lined up along the fence, fascinated by our dog. We will return, as soon as we can, Don.

Great family trip away
Cute little love shack. Has everything you need to switch off from the hustle and bustle of life. Was hard to go home to reality.
Greeted by Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos in the mornings was a particular treat as well as spying Gang Gangs in the trees.
Fantastic waterfalls not far up the road and beautiful walks in the Tarra Bulga National Park.
Worth mentioning that it would be handy to have a 4WD car to get across the paddocks.
Kate is a lovely host and has created a little slice of paradise.

Wonderful peaceful views
We absolutely loved Kates cabin in Tarra! the views were stunning and we were surrounded by nature and the sound of birds in the morning. The cabin was lovely and had everything that you need for an enjoyable stay. The outdoor toilet was perfectly fine and had a sensor light which made it easier in the night. The kitchen worked well and the hot plate was very fast to heat everything. Kate was a wonderful and kind host and her communication was much appreciated! I can not wait to stay again and enjoy the beautiful views of Tarra again! thank you so so much Kate and family!!!

Amazing location and well equipped

Camping with Creature comforts
This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Love Shack and it was as brilliant as the first time. There’s great facilities and it’s a gorgeous setting.
With a deluge of rain the shed and shack came in really handy and there are good supplies (cutlery, plates etc) so we only really needed our tents and bedding.
The outdoor table and chairs were a nice addition too.
We saw the most amazing stars and 6 shooting stars!
Great for adults and children.

Group Camping.
Easy place to find, excellent directions from Kate to get to the Shack. The place is really large and has ALL the amenities needed. Extremely clean and cosy, the grass for my friends to camp on was great condition and has a lovely huge tree for shade.

What a delightful stay! Enjoyed the picturesque views of the entire landscape.
Was peaceful and quiet and a well spent weekend away with family. The shack was also lovely with the finishing touches of decor.
We also took our telescope and could see many many stars and the moon was so clear! Was so wonderful.
Directions were clear and Kate was also helpful on what we could explore in the area. Another camp site to tick off the list

It is perfect location for a getaway no signal just the great outdoors

I camped outside for two nights with my six year old the sound and the stars made it magical

You can stop searching now! You will not find a better spot for a getaway. This property is STUNNING! The views, the tranquility 10/10. We only stayed the two nights but we didn't want to leave. The little Love Shack is so quaint and perfectly equipped for a couples getaway. Cozy and peaceful, it's all we wanted and we were not let down. We'll be coming back for sure!
