Pitch your tent, unroll your swag or park your caravan or camper and enjoy the seclusion of our lakeside camping area. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the sky and sunsets across the lake, over the distant hills. With 90 acres of bush on the property, together with the surrounding two state forests, there is plenty to explore. Tarra Bulga National Park, Ninety Mile beach, Port Albert and Yarram are only a short drive away. Bruthen Creek Pastoral Farmstay at Woodside North, in Central Gippsland, is located on an operating 235 acre cattle farm owned and run by Damian and Angela. Apart from the bulls, cows and calves there are also miniature horses, alpacas and chickens to interact with. Local wildlife includes kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus, goannas and maybe the odd koala. Overhead can be seen many birds including eagles, parrots, water birds while the RAAF Roulettes regularly practice their routines.​ There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. Pets welcome, but please ensure they are under control as there are cattle on the property.

Western Pasture
The whole family met up for Grand Final weekend. We camped in the Western Pasture where there is tons of space for kids & dogs to run & explore. View was beautiful looking towards the forest & in the other direction the tree lined creek. Plenty of wildlife to be seen & lots of fun to be had. Would highly recommend the wonderful hosts.

What a great weekend at a fantastic property! We had planned to go out to explore the local area, but couldn't tear ourselves away from this perfect, peaceful spot. Enjoyed watching the wildlife and lots of birds, including kangaroos, wombats and emus; and going for short strolls on the property, that includes a creek and lake. The paddocks were so green and surrounded by natural bushland. There was another occupied camp, but they are far enough away that you wouldn't know they were there. Loved it and hope to return.

Had another fabulous weekend at Bruthen Creek. We saw emu, deer and of course kangaroos this time. Damian and Angela are fantastic hosts. We will be back soon.

What a beautiful property we originally booked for 5 nights but loved it so much we extended our stay to 9 nights. Peaceful is an understatement and the wildlife is incredible. We will definitely be back Thanks Damian and Angela for sharing your peace of paradise

Damian and Angela were amazing hosts. Went above and beyond to help us when in need. A nice and private pasture right on the tree line where wood was readily accessible. Plenty of room for the kids to run and ride there bikes. Wildlife all around. Will be back for sure.

Absolutely amazing spot. We had 3 dogs with us and they loved it so much! I've never seen them sleep as much as they did after we left. The campsites are isolated (can see the others in the distance but cant hear them) and in a great location. Damien was very responsive and even provided some firewood to get us through the first night. Aldi mobile worked great, optus didn't. Highly recommend and we will be back!

We had a great stay for 3 nights over the long weekend. The location was peaceful and the site was well protected. Damien and Angela were fantastic hosts. We loved how there was firewood provided for the first night, along with a fire pit and a brazier. The additional touch was a water container to douce the embers at night and was truely appreciated. There were 2 other sites on the property which were quite a distance from where we were. We loved walking through the paddocks down to the creek, watching the wildlife and the fresh clean air. Not a far drive to the local pub which was pet friendly and the beach was 25mins away.

We had an amazing time at Bruthen Creek Pastrol farm stay. We were on the bush retreat with 6 family setups and there was a plenty of space for all. Damian was an amazing host, great communication and awesome on checking in with us that we were all OK. The kids loved riding their bikes up and down the farm track and looking at all the animals. The site was extremely peaceful and loved the star gazing in the evening. The water hole was great for a dip and play in the hot weather. There was plenty to do nearby. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

Lovely place to stay. Damien is a great host and very accommodating. The kids loved seeing the cows and the Kangaroos everyday. The lake is lovely. We stayed at the Bush Retreat which provided easy access for bush walking. Would highly recommend and looking forwarded to returning in the future.

This was the first camping experience for many people in our group, and it turned out to be an amazing introduction to camping for all of us. Everyone ended up saying how much they loved the experience. Damien and Angela were incredibly friendly and gave us a very warm welcome, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The kids enjoyed every moment and had an absolute blast. There was plenty of firewood available, making our nights around the campfire even better. The fresh eggs were absolutely delicious too! Highly recommended, especially for families and big groups.

A fantastic spot for families. The site was big, super quiet, and peaceful with a lovely view, and being right next to the lake was perfect for the kids. They loved paddling around in their small boat and watching the hay baler at work, which was a real highlight. Such a relaxing place to unwind. We will definitely be returning.

Bush Retreat
Our 3rd stay at Bruthen Creek and we'll be back! We love the separate camping sites on the property, plenty of space between them and feel like we're bush camping alone. Beautiful location & landscape, with farm animals (lucky to see baby calves again!), kangaroos, emus and birds. Short drive to Woodside Beach, Woodside pub, Yarram and other attractions.

Second time staying here and it honestly just gets better each visit. The campground is spotless, peaceful, and set up perfectly for a relaxing getaway. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Couldn’t recommend this place enough – already looking forward to the next !

Our second visit there and was amazing, stayed at lakeside serenity the weather was great and such a beautiful spot. On our way in we saw heaps of kangaroos and a few wombats. A lovely spot to spend a few days. Great place to recharge the batteries 😊
