It was an overgrown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. I've tried to keep the bush aspect whilst creating a park-like surround with plenty of grassy space. I have big plans for this land and hope to build a steam museum in another area over the creek. Excitingly, I will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home.
I offer one site so privacy is assured. Larger groups can be accommodated, please enquire if you'd like to learn more.

The Korweingy Recreation Reserve is a wonderful country hall and oval. It is 12 minutes from Daylesford and in the heart of the Wombat State Forest. It has a huge hall, kitchen, toilets and showers, and a huge oval. It even has a little lounge area.
The oval is the same dimensions AS THE MCG! The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.
Enjoy all the area has to offer, and come back to your own paradise in the bush. Wake up to roos on the oval and enjoy a barbie with your group.

There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.
If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.

My property is just under 4 acres, with a dam and a small orchard area. It's a small piece of paradise just 7km out of Beaufort, and conveniently situated between the Western Highway and the Sunraysia Highway.
The campsite is located at the far end of the property, and borders the Waterloo Bushland Reserve and Reservoir, with plenty of options for bushwalking. Waterloo was formerly an old gold mining town and now attracts gold detectors. The property is on a slight rise and the views over the farmland and beyond are beautiful. It is an ideal spot for people passing through to pull up for the night, or spend a day or two relaxing in peaceful country.
Campers need to be fully self-contained. I do however have drinking water available.
You are welcome to have a campfire weather permitting.
Kangaroos come down in the evening to feed, and I also have several sheep on the property, so whilst I allow pets, they must be kept under control.
Beaufort is a short drive away, where you'll find essentials including a supermarket, chemist, cafes, op shops and hotels.
The house is only minutes from the campsite but your privacy is assured and I am certainly available to assist you if needed.

The Korweingy Recreation Reserve is a wonderful country hall and oval. It is 12 minutes from Daylesford and in the heart of the Wombat State Forest. It has a huge hall, kitchen, toilets and showers, and a huge oval. It even has a little lounge area.
The oval is the same dimensions AS THE MCG! The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.
Enjoy all the area has to offer, and come back to your own paradise in the bush. Wake up to roos on the oval and enjoy a barbie with your group.
Please note the hall has power but the camping area has no power. If you live in the Korweinguboora area please email korweinguboorarecreserve@gmail.com to obtain a discount code.

Yeramba is a boutique Farmstay retreat.
We have a selection of small friendly farm animals for guests to interact with.
Goats to feed and ponies to brush.
We are dog friendly and campsite is fenced for dogs and can be off leash under supervision. Dogs must be on a leash when walking around the property to explore.
We also have 15 acres of natural bush land with walking tracks, wildlife and birdsong.
Both our dams are stocked with trout and Redfin. Fishing rods available for hire.
The campsite is spacious approximately 2 acres and fenced off. For larger family / friends group please contact host.
Designated campfire site with firewood available $20 ( subject to weather conditions)
Abundant birdlife for bird watching and photography……includes an undercover bird hide with seating.
Campsite is close to landscaped gardens with shady trees and picnic table.
A communal camp kitchen in The Stables close by.
Easy vehicle access on flat ground.
Lots of space for outdoor activities…. We even supply some gorgeous kites for children to fly and space for ball games including goal posts and volleyball net.
The Stables are a communal area which is fully enclosed with indoor games including table tennis.

This is a property we have loved escaping to for years, offering a beautiful flat camp ground with fire-pit, unfiltered rain water, and amazing sunrise views over Sailors Gully. We offer 20 acres of pure bushland including ferny gullies and lush glades all to yourself. For the first time in years we're happy to share it with Hipcampers! Surrounded by Hepburn Regional Park you're guaranteed privacy, with easy access to trails that lead all the way to Lake Daylesford.
You'll feel surrounded by nature whilst not having to worry about provisions, emergencies or activities to keep everyone entertained - the site is only 10 minutes by car to the centre of Daylesford.
We have an old caravan on site we use for getaways, but the site is all yours during your booking.

Camping at Roy's Rise was a real treat. The site is spacious and secluded. The little fire pit and charcoal BBQ is a great space to relax and talk around the fire. Access to the property was super easy and the free roaming cows kept their distance only wandering close by when our talking had died down.
At dusk and dawn the paddock was visited by lots of wildlife, kangaroos, kokoburras and red-tailed black cockatoos.

We had an amazing stay here for our 40th birthday celebrations. Perfect for families and large groups. Hall was well equipped, plenty of space for our large group. The weather wasn't so great so it worked so well for us. Would definitely recommend for a large group, everyone had a great time!

10/10 stay! We had a ball feeding the animals, collecting chicken eggs and petting the baby goat! The camp itself was peaceful, quiet and very spacious. John was a wonderful host, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the property and town. We will definitely be back!

John is an amazing host. Went above and beyond to ensure I was enjoyable my stay. The camping area was tidy, good flat ground and lots of firewood available. Was quiet, private and a relaxing place. Close to Daylesford if you needed supplies. Highly recommended and will be back.
