The Secret Place near Ballarat

56 sites · RVs, Tents13 acres · Ballarat, Ballarat
Welcome to The Secret Place, a 13-acre bush paradise, just ten minutes out of Ballarat. We have two camping areas: Bush Bliss, where you can unwind among the eucalyptus trees, or the enchanting Magic Forest which runs along a dry creek bed surrounded by pine trees. Some Bush Bliss campsites can be driven into (weather permitting), for others it's about a 5 minute walk from the carpark. It is also about a five minute walk from the carpark to the Magic Forest campsites. There are also a limited number of levelled spots for camper vans, which is on a grassed area near the pine forest. Please check with us before booking a campervan site as access is weather dependent. All camp sites have been levelled for your comfort and offer peace and privacy. Sites within these three areas are not designated, and there is plenty of space, so feel free to choose your site when you arrive. Camp facilities include toilets, and for group bookings, you can also use the outdoor kitchen (provided you contact us first about this). There is also large communal camp fire pit. LOVE BUS! We also have a bus on the property, which is fitted out with a complete bedroom, toilet, shower, kitchen and lounge. This can be rented separately. Contact us if interested in this.

Pioneer Gully Bushland Campsites

5 sites · RVs, Tents26 acres · Buninyong, Ballarat
Pioneer Gully Bushland is located in Buninyong, just 15 minutes from Ballarat. The area is rich in history from the gold fossicking days. Our campsites are in the bush area of our property and offer plenty of space, privacy and shade. There is a dam on the property where you are welcome to try your hand at fishing. There is an old mine on the property which is fenced off but it is something we are happy to show you. Please speak to us before going anywhere near the mine. There are plenty of walks and hikes to enjoy on the property and in the surrounding area including Mount Buninyong which is right next to us. The region is really popular for bike riders and it is a great way to see the surrounding areas. Sovereign Hill is less than 15 minutes away and is a great day out for the whole family. Have a go at panning for gold, enjoy one of the many shows and presentations and learn all about the history of the regions. Enjoy a campfire in the fire pit provided for you and enjoy some brilliant star gazing in the evenings. Pets are welcome. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet and take all waste with them on departure.

Penzance Bushland Retreat

1 site · RV, Tent15 acres · Durham Lead, Moorabool
... Hi there and welcome to our home, Penzance! We fell in love with our slice of heaven over 12 years ago and adore every back breaking inch of it. It was an over grown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. We've tried to keep the bush aspect while creating a park like surround with plenty of grassy space. We have big plans for our land and hope to build a steam museum in our other area over the creek. Excitingly, we will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home. I am an actor and artist working in metal, clay and paint. I'm inspired by my flower garden and the bush that frames it. We offer one site so privacy is assured. Larger groups can be accommodated, please enquire if you'd like to learn more. We look forward to welcoming you to Penzance.
