Located within 50 acres of bushland, just out of Hepburn Springs and Daylesford. Serenity. Experience the beautiful Australian bush, fantastic night skies and the amazing colours of the sun rising and setting. You also have the opportunity to observe local wildlife; kangaroos, kookaburras and possibly echidnas. There are many wineries, bushwalks, town markets to explore and this is well suited to mountain biking due to the proximity of the Goldfields track. Please check the CFA website with regards to fire restrictions: https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/warnings-restrictions/fire-bans-ratings-and-restrictions. This property is located in 'Central' district. The Fire Danger Period is from 25 Nov '24 to 1 May '25. Campfires are allowed during this period only under certain conditions - please check with CFA or ask us to be sure.The Ridge is a beautiful open campsite with views of the dam and further afield. Sit back and enjoy the sounds of the Australian bush, located on part of the Goldfields Track. Campfires permitted in designated camp firepit, (subject to official CFA fire restrictions. Please refer to the CFA website - Hepburn Shire -for clarity on restrictions. Firewood available for when fires are permitted, (do not cut down any trees, there’s plenty of wood stacked or to collect from the ground). We are located 10 minutes from Daylesford & Glenlyon, Kyneton (30mins), Castlemaine, (20 mins) Newstead (20 mins). Lots of wineries nearby. The property is 50 acres, mainly bushland. We do live on the property. As you drive in you can see the house, however you cannot see it from the camp site, and vice-versa. There is a public road that goes past the camp site, about 60mt to one side, it is actually part of the Goldfields Track. You can see our dam from the camp site, which you can walk to. There’s a log there for sitting on if you like. Lots of birds and birds' song. Dogs are permitted, off leash if under your control, as there may be horses and people using the road nearby. Please clean up after your dog as required. You will need to be fully self-contained, there are no facilities such as water, toilet, bins etc. please take with you what you bring. The site can cope with 2 vans (or equivalent tents).

Good little spot for an overnighter! Easy to get to and not too far from Daylesford. A cute little firepit to enjoy sunrise overlooking the forest whilst sipping on coffee!

Lovely, peaceful site in a beautiful location. We really appreciated the firewood provided! The site was quiet and relaxing, with gorgeous sunrises each morning. A great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. We'd happily stay again!

We had the most amazing time there with our doggies. So private and peaceful. Lovely dam for a swim and early morning wildlife. Would highly recomend the ridge 100%. Plenty of firewood supplied by hosts. Will be my go to place for sure

We had the perfect night away on Wendy’s beautiful property. Peaceful and tranquil with only a short drive into Daylesford. Site was easy to get to with the fire pit tidy and ready to go! Wendy even greeted us with a bouquet of eucalyptus she’d just picked! Great experience and we hope to return soon.

We had the best weekend at Wendy’s property - Such a beautiful spot! Private space, great campfire set up, easy to access & short drive into Daylesford. Beautiful sunrise set up, we loved it. Wendy met us on arrival, shared lots of things to do in the area & was super lovely. Would definitely stay again.

We loved camping at the Ridge. Wendy was an excellent host, she met us as we arrived to show us the campsite and checked in to see how settling in. A highlight of the trip for my kids was helping Wendy feed her chickens each day. The campsite is in a beautiful spot, we were treated to some excellent sunrises and saw some wildlife (wallabies and kangaroos). It’s close to town and a great base to explore Hepburn springs and Daylesford. Thanks for having us, we hope to come back!

Lovely peaceful spot. Road is nearby but low traffic. Water views! Lovely view over the valley. Go for a walk or just sit back and enjoy. Convenient to Hepburn Springs.

Wendy was a great host. She was accomodating & met us when we could come to check-in later. She was also quick to communicate. The camp area was private with a lovely view overlooking the dam. Firewood was also provided although it was a total fire ban when we stayed.

Gorgeous view over the dam, quiet and surrounded by trees and wildlife. Generously has some firewood available to use when no fire ban. Lovely hosts, we are already discussing when to come back!

Such a great private site in a wonderful bush setting. The wildlife was well worth the trekking through trees, especially the echidnas, however the wombats proved to elusive on this visit. We’ll need to return to find them next time.

The Ridge
We had a wonderful two night stay at The Ridge. The clear night allowed the amazing night sky with hundreds of stars shine through as we toasted marshmallows in the fire. In the morning we woke to kangaroos near by and we walked down to the dam to eat our breakfast. As Daylesford was just a short drive we went into town to explore and then returned to the peace and quiet. Wendy communicated well and made the stay super easy. Look forward to another weekend getaway.

This was the perfect get away on a quiet bush property but still close to many of the things we love in this region. The sun rises were amazing and we enjoyed the visits from the White Wing Choughs every morning as they pecked and hopped through our campsite. Highly recommended and we expect to be back again.

I loved camping at The Ridge. Its was super quiet and peaceful. Lots of visits from Kangaroos. Beautiful spot to watch the fire and relax. Highly recommended. Wendy was awesome to communicate with, fast response and very friendly. She met me at the gate and took me to the spot, where there was plenty of firewood ready for me to camp. I will be back!

Awesome location, so beautiful & peaceful Doggo loved the dam and the freedom of running around. Wendy was so lovely to deal with. No complaints from us would highly recommend this camp to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Great communication from Wendy who met us on arrival. We were pleasantly surprised by the camp site. Nice and quiet with the only sounds being birds chirping and the breeze in the trees. We lit a nice fire with plenty of wood supplied. Will definitely return again but for a longer stay.

Lovely property, lots of wildlife around and super quiet. We drove in and saw kangaroos where the campsite and a pair of Scarlet Robins in the morning. 10 mins to Daylesford, 7 mins to the hot springs and 2 mins to chocolate mill. Wendy replies super quick and is great to deal with. We will be back here again!

Had a great stay with our 2 dogs! Secluded and private, we had a good time exploring the surrounds of the campsite and our dogs also got to have a little dip to cool off. Will definitely be back again!

We had a wonderful time! The site is stunning, so lovely to have a fire pit and Wendy had even neatly left out a pile of firewood and kindling for us. They met us at the entrance and showed us to the site and were so helpful and friendly. It’s a short easy drive to Daylesford and Hepburn springs. We’ll definitely be back!
