My property is just under 4 acres, with a dam and a small orchard area. It's a small piece of paradise just 7km out of Beaufort, and conveniently situated between the Western Highway and the Sunraysia Highway. The campsite is located at the far end of the property, and borders the Waterloo Bushland Reserve and Reservoir, with plenty of options for bushwalking. Waterloo was formerly an old gold mining town and now attracts gold detectors. The property is on a slight rise and the views over the farmland and beyond are beautiful. It is an ideal spot for people passing through to pull up for the night, or spend a day or two relaxing in peaceful country. Campers need to be fully self-contained. I do however have drinking water available. You are welcome to have a campfire weather permitting. Kangaroos come down in the evening to feed, and I also have several sheep on the property, so whilst I allow pets, they must be kept under control. Beaufort is a short drive away, where you'll find essentials including a supermarket, chemist, cafes, op shops and hotels. The house is only minutes from the campsite but your privacy is assured and I am certainly available to assist you if needed.

This campsite borders the Waterloo Bushland Reserve and Reservoir. Being on a slight rise the views over the farmland and beyond are beautiful. Campers need to be fully self-contained. I do however have drinking water available. Access to power can be made available to charge small appliances if you need. I have several sheep on the property, and kangaroos do like to come and graze in the afternoons, so whilst I welcome pets they must be kept under control. The house is only a minute away but your privacy is assured and I am certainly available to assist you if needed. You are welcome to have a campfire, weather and local restrictions permitting. For essentials, Beaufort is only 7km away and there you'll find supermarket, chemist, takeaway etc.

A week of bliss

Peaceful Rest Spot
Easy access & setting up was a breeze. We loved watching the animals that came to visit, including Roos, red robin, wrens, magpies, and many other varieties of bird life. The view of the distant landscape was stunning, and we enjoyed the grazing sheep. We also appreciated the walking tracks next to the site that led into bush for exploration. The trees surrounding the campsite area were truly beautiful. It was such a delight to meet Brenda and her little pooch Nugget. Thank you for sharing your lovely property.

It was perfect for two nights. A bit of traffic noise Friday night though. The full moon was beautifull and we enjoyed walking through the forest. Easy 10min drive into Beaufort. Even with air suspension, we still needed a ramp to level up.

Don’t let the low price put you off - there’s no ‘but’ - it’s just amazing value. Brenda charges what she needs to rather than as much as she can which I love. The site is on a slight slope and you can level a van pretty much anywhere but it also undulates so you can find some flat bits and get away without levelling for a short stay. There’s a lovely view from the hill back out towards Beaufort - the road is very quiet so no disturbances. Beaufort has great RV facilities - long parking in town, a dump point, very clean public toilets and a potable water source with threaded tap and good pressure. Thanks Brenda for sharing your acreage - will see you next time 🙏

Peaceful Rest Spot
Beautiful quiet location but close enough to town to make a quick trip in for coffee in the morning. We enjoyed bushwalking next to Brenda's place and our dog loved making friends with Nugget. Brenda sent instructions as she wasn’t around when we arrived and then popped over to make us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend as a base to see this gorgeous area.

Brenda’s property was perfect for our needs. We stopped on our way home to Melbourne from South Australia. It was a last minute booking and we are so happy we chose Brenda’s land. Lovely views, very quiet and easy to access.

Brenda is an absolute legend and has a lovely site which was safe and secure. The view out over the plains towards the Grampians is stunning and the slope is easy to level up on a single ramp. Access is easy and you can be as secluded as you like - nestled back by the treeline for great feng shui or in glorious isolation out in the open to charge solar. Good facilities in Beaufort which is just down the road or Ballarat isn’t too far for everything else. Absolutely would recommend Brenda’s property for anyone looking for a picturesque self-contained site. Excellent value for money. Thanks!

I wanted to find peace and quiet for a few days in a place that was not too far away and with the feeling of security. I certainly found it here. Brenda was a warm welcoming host, but then was utterly discreet so that I felt totally at peace. I could relax, go for walks in the nearby woodlands or just watch the cockies, and kangaroos ! Sssh a perfect spot for quiet relaxation. I’ll be back.

We have just spent another awesome long weekend at Brenda's and had a great time. We were also there 2 weeks earlier and had no hesitation in visiting again so soon. So peaceful.

It was a lovely quiet spot . Grassy, surrounded by gums ,kangaroos and bird life . Location is great , close to Ballarat .

Brenda was an awesome and an inspiring lady. The views were magic and we met several of the locals and got the great sense of community. We have already rebooked a visit. Did I mention the serenity.

Thank you so much Brenda, an amazing host, warm and friendly with an outstanding property. This is my first "HipCamp" experience and I can only describe your place as a gem, extremely peaceful, adjacent to the forest, amazing amount of birdlife, neighbouring sheep, goats, horses, etc, etc.. Entertaining just watching the local kangaroo behaviour while having a cuppa at the camp-site. I would have liked to stay longer but will return in a few weeks. P.S...A big "plus" was having potable water available for guests. Highly recommended!

Spent our 2024 easter weekend at brendas place with our 2 young children, perfect location with Beaufort only 10 minutes away, lots of privacy and phone reception, we had the option to shut the gates so our kids had a bit of freedom running around, enjoyed watching the sheep and kangaroos, brenda was very friendly and my girls loved her doggy, bring a extra blanket if your in a tent as the mornings are chilly. Lovley walking track next to the property to explore

What a lovely quiet spot to unwind and relax away from it all. Town not too far away and walking tracks close by. Brenda is a lovely friendly host and would recommend her spot to anyone looking for peace and quiet for a few days. 😊😊

Brenda was a lovely host, very welcoming. True to the name it was a really peaceful spot. Lovely surroundings, kangaroos and a few farm animals. Loved the little lambs !

Brenda's place was a perfect place to relax and recharge! Right next to a Forrest and Reservoir! Very quiet and peaceful place, great views with kangaroos to see throughout the day! Brenda was a friendly and welcoming host! Im glad I found this gem, highly recommend this stay!

Wonderful 2023 Easter Trip

Our family had a wonderfull camping experience at Brenda's Place. Brenda was a very friendly host and allowed us to choose our own site on her property. We chose close to trees for some added shade. The views were amazing and included kangaroos and wallabies nearby. We loved going in April 2023 as fire restrictions were still in place and we didn't want fires around our young kids. We also like not having a dam close by for the same reason. There was a forest not far behind us where we explored with the kids. The town was about 10 minutes from Brenda's Place and included an IGA, chemist, hardware store, cafes, antique shops, petrol station, pubs, playground, free town water and dump site, all year round Christmas shop and Beaufort Lake just to name a few. We were far enough away from Brenda's house to have our own privacy but close enough that we felt safe if we needed anything. Highly recommended and thank you Brenda!

Brenda is a gorgeous host offering a warm welcome and helpfulness for anything needed and also invisible for the rest of your stay if tranquility is what you seek! Super quiet, loved the kangaroos and rabbits and the brilliant night sky & fresh morning! Highly recommended and only 8mon from town for a meal or groceries!!

It was a bloody hot day when we came to this spot. I was pretty irritated at our choice to go camping. However, the lovely breeze coming off the hills and the lovely shady spots were just so nice, cool and relaxing. Brenda was beyond helpful and lovely, as was nugget, her adorable little dog. The property itself was really lovely, private, quiet, stunning views and right next to some great trails to explore! Would highly recommend! Our dog, Oban, also had a great time! As Brenda had gone to the trouble of mowing the field recently, we felt much more comfortable about snakes with him.

We loved camping here. Beautiful views and time to sit and relax doing nothing. We played games with the kids and the dog ran free but contained. Near to town. Brenda was a wonderful host, helped us with water, a fire and a dog run for when we left.
