Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms north-east of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Mobile phone service and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! Completely. Ellesmere Park Farm Stay was inspired by our trip following the stock routes of NSW by horse drawn vehicles. Many people commented they would love to do that, which gave us the idea of sharing our amazing journey with others. Our camping area is a lot more comfortable than we endured with a well set up camp kitchen, green lawns and friendly animals all in one area. Our mascot, "Lucky lamb", is an attraction all of her own and who else can say "Kevin bacon" lives here! Our farm stay offers a large grassed camping area with camp kitchen. We are located within easy driving distance of Greens lake and the Waranga basin for fishing, boating and swimming activities and only 15km from Rushworth and the historic Whroo township. Campers are welcome to join us as we feed the animals. Fires and pets allowed (read Listing rules). There is only one toilet and one shower available, it is recommended that campers are self sufficient

Our property features 4-5 acres of Murray River frontage and river vistas. We are located a convenient 5 minutes from the township of Moama. Our private, riverfront secluded campsites are large and clean. All 6 sites are riverfront with power and fresh water supplied. They are relatively flat, level grass/dirt areas with gum trees peppered throughout the site for shade in summer. We can accommodate any type and size of camping vehicle and 2WDs. Park your caravan or pitch a tent and relax. For fishing and watersport enthusiasts there is access to a boat ramp. From camp there is sloping bank access to the water, steeper in some parts. Guests will have access to a toilet, fire drums and cut your own firewood is available. Please read the Campground conditions of entry: VERY IMPORTANT- this campground features River Gum Trees. Take care when choosing where to park and camp. Always look up and do not park or camp under overhanging branches, assess the site first. River gums can drop branches without warning. We will not be held responsible for loss, damage or injury from trees falling it is an act of nature not of negligence. Your site assessment and safety is first and foremost, and please if, you’re not happy with the safety of area please let us know, all monies will be returned to you. We cannot tell when or if a limb may fall from a tree, it can be caused by heat, wind, lightning, rain or age. - Access time after 1pm, and Depart time before 11am, unless organised with manager/owner. Please message us. - All camping rubbish must be placed in skip or taken away - Campfires permitted in fire drums only, and only outside of fire ban season. - Firewood can be cut and collected from 2 large piles at the campsite. -Bring your own chainsaw to cut firewood - For your safety you must stay in fenced area of the campground. - Guests are welcome to use the toilet on site. - Please note there is no dump point on the property for your camping toilet. Great quiet spot not far from town. We booked quite late and last minute but Michelle was happy to accommodate us and even did a quick mow of the site for us. Level clearing amongst the trees with plenty of kangaroos and ducks around made for an excellent and safe place to camp for the night.

Could I recommend this place? YES. Can I truly put into words how good it is? Probably not… but I’ll try. The family is so passionate about what they do. The care, love, and knowledge they have for their animals is incredible – especially seeing the kids so involved in running the place. The spacing between the sites is great, and the areas are nice and flat too, which made setting up super easy. As an avid photographer, I actually didn’t take many photos because I was so immersed in the experience and in their stories. Getting to handle the Highland cows was something I’ll never forget. An easy 5 stars from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A lovely tranquil camping spot right near the river. Beautiful trees and birds. Great to relax and have a camp fire or go for a walk. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming and the amenities are great. We really appreciated the lovely camp fire and the toilets and hot shower. The campground is very spacious, and even though there weren’t many other campers during our stay, the area is so big that I’m sure it still feels comfortable when it’s busier. Great directions and a very easy check in. The most difficult part was deciding where to set up. There is a huge amount of space to spread out. The dogs loved it. One of the better Hipcamp sites we have been too. Well kept grounds, multiple toilets that are very clean and Julie was lovely. It is approx. 20 mins to Echuca for supplies and cafes but there is also a BP servo 5 mins away for any emergancy supplies.
